Intro/Fight:
A four-time Lightweight Title holder with fourteen successful defenses, Yvonne Strahovski was on the short list of favorites to win the entire Jaguar Tournament. Despite the Aussie Hall-of-Famer's sparkling career resume, she was just 2-4-0 this year; with some of the more adventurous (or deranged) gamblers even going as far as picking the field in Pool A. Despite all the noise, this Pool was Strahovski's to lose. With all three scheduled challengers capable of felling the blonde on a bad day, Yvonne would need to round back into form quickly. The first competitor standing in her way to kick off the Jaguar Tournament was a streaking Joanna Krupa. With five straight victories, including knockout wins over Charlize Theron and Stana Katic, the Polish bombshell was a popular dark-horse candidate to steal the Pool; but coming out of the gates, Strahovski was quick to put those hopes to bed.

Monopolizing the scoring in the first two rounds was Strahovski. The dynamic blonde actress made her model counterpart look worryingly pedestrian; cutting Krupa to her proverbial knees with an overwhelming and frankly unsustainable pace of overhands and uppercuts, battering the Warsaw native's left side with crippling right hands to the point she was visibly favoring it. Krupa was impressive to keep her composure, narrowly squirming out of a handful of knockout-potential situations on the ropes, but Yvonne's avalanche of momentum didn't hit a single speedbump on the way down the mountain until the 3rd. With her back against the wall, Krupa finally showed what she was made of, erupting with a starkly contrasting fit of her own when compared to the first two rounds. The taller blonde suddenly found herself on her heels for the first time in Rounds 3 and 4, struggling to back off a voracious Joanna who'd found a bone and refused to let go. As she had in numerous bouts this year, Strahovski simply couldn't find the space to counter with her deadly knockout power. With Yvonne's lanes squeezed off, Krupa controlled the action from in tight, chiseling away at Yvonne's sculped midsection until she was forced on the run. It wasn't Krupa by a stunning margin, but she got herself right back in the mix with a pair of narrow round wins in the second pair. Round 5 was much more to Strahovski's standards, with the Aussie once again taking the reins and putting on an exhibition of her Championship-caliber abilities. Krupa to her credit kept swinging for the fences, but with Strahovski's counter-game finding its rhythm, every strike Krupa missed was punished with ferocious precision. If not for her incredible cardio even at age 43, Krupa might have lost the round by a worse margin; but even with her best efforts to hold on for dear life, she found herself down a handful of points.

After a breath-catching draw in Round 6 for both ladies, Yvonne finally found a gear that Krupa couldn't match. Channeling her Title form from the 2010's, Strahovski spent the first minute of the round spinning a web that had Krupa backed into a corner. Expertly twisted around her finger, Yvonne finally buckled the dizzied blonde with a crunchy shot to the ribs. Joanna teetered to one side as she mewled for oxygen, nearly wilting to a knee as she fell a contorted mess into the ropes. Bounding forward and seizing the space between them, Yvonne crow-hopped through a biting left hand to the cheek, brutally snapping Krupa's wobbling skull sideways and through the top and middle rope. Twisting to her knees, the blonde spilled halfway out of the ring before being caught up in the rubber, dribbling a stream of drool along with her mouthpiece as she slumped to her side, finally splayed sloppily on her backside at Strahovski's feet. Unable to muster more than a few twitchy spasms, Krupa was counted out nearly instantly as the blonde polished off her boisterous message; planting a victorious heel atop Joanna's panting bosom for the impressive opening win.
