Intro/Fight:
Despite being largely retired, Stacy Keibler's presence in this tournament was certainly not a gimmick. The leggy Diva was a two-time Welterweight Title holder with three successful defenses, and her reach was a monumental problem for the majority of the league when she was at the top of her game. For Stana Katic, this was her most stern challenge to-date. It had been a nice run for the hometown Jag, representing the stable that was hosting the tournament, but she'd yet to be tested by a real fighter and had still hit the canvas thanks to a bludgeoning left from lowly Anne Hathaway.
The first three rounds were a bloody massacre. Clad in a frisky pink micro-bikini and matching string thong, Katic's only contribution to the first third of the fight was a handful of wardrobe malfunctions as she struggled to deal with the oppressive, smothering length of Keibler. Stacy looked as though she hadn't missed a beat, refreshed by her fighting hiatus and erupting with energy and moxie. Keibler took the first three rounds, each by a wide margin, taking a commanding lead in the bout with relentless volleys to Katic's temples and jaw. Keibler bathed every inch of Stana's bronzed skin with leather, maintaining a torrid pace that Katic couldn't match. After finally showing up to the fight and taking the fourth with a late surge along the ropes, Katic looked gassed already.
As the fifth wore on, Stana opted to slow the avalanche down, routinely tying Keibler up, locking horns with the towering blonde, and trying to sneak a parting shot through on Stacy when they broke. Keibler seemed to oblige, draping her upper half over Katic's and leaning with her weight, working the legs of the slumping brunette each time she offered a chesty embrace. The grimmace on Katic's face told a tale of exhaustion as their intertwined frames twirled into the ropes, clumsily sloshing back toward the center of the ring before Stana snapped down on Stacy's hooked forearms to separate their bodies and whipped a right across her chin. Keibler wobbled for the first time, her skull rattling as her arms fell, just managing to chicken-wing her left arm back up to block a second right hand from Katic. Her follow-up strike deflected, Katic drunkenly shuffled right into a disemboweling right hand from Keibler that sunk just below her rib cage. Katic's slender abdomen crunched as she let out a guttural squelch, tipping to her heels as Stacy craned backwards and swept a temple-high left hand through Stana's airspace. Katic's neck snapped in the aftermath, her belly seizing as her frame curled, weightedly collapsing flat on her back. The brunette hit with a meaty thump as she was sprawled spread eagle, vacantly blinking as she hit the mat tits-up, arms strewn high above her head. Her sternum heaved as she took the first half of the count to compose herself, finally rolling to hands and knees and pressing up to her feet at the count of 8. Stacy was putting on a clinic, and it appeared Katic couldn't keep up.
Whatever mojo Stacy had going in the first five rounds completely evaporated in the sixth, as the jarring knockdown seemed to shake something seizmic loose in Katic's game. Perhaps having experienced Keibler's power and knowing she couldn't do so again, the lithe brunette became nearly untouchable. An artful dodge of another Keibler left opened the door for Katic to damage the blonde, detonating a tight right hand into her hanging chin. Keibler's coordination went haywire as she skittered into the ropes, hanging on for dear life before melting into the corner. Finally the pistons of Katic were on display as she chugged breathtaking lefts into Stacy's navel, following with a heart-stopping right to the heart. Keibler wailed as another savage left-left-left broke her down further, wilting against the post before she was forced to wall up completely. Katic continued to pummel with everything she had, bludgeoning Stacy's forearms despite not being able to sneak anything substantial through. Keibler was completely helpless as Stana miraculously followed up a round in which she was knocked down with a shutout of her own, blanking the answerless blonde to get right back in the fight and somehow take the lead. Keibler needed an break, and she needed it now. As the seventh round wore on, Keibler grew more bold, swinging a pair of wild right hands over Katic's tightly-braided locks that narrowly missed putting her on the canvas. Katic was wary to take them on, and Stacy's endless range made a counter very tough. After Katic chugged another pair of aggravating crosses into Keibler's taut belly, Stacy huffed in frustration and burst forward, ripping an impossibly heavy left fist into Stana's shoulder and knocking her somewhat off tilt. Coiling her right hand and poised to bring an overwhelming overhead down on Katic's cheek, the blonde was suddenly paralyzed as Katic slithered forward and pierced Keibler's left breast with a venomous straight right hand. Stacy's abdomen concaved inward as if she'd taken a steel shank, her legs wobbling before Stana slung a wider right into the side of her jaw. The frozen blonde collapsed in an awkward heap, folding over her own stems as her upper half sprawled, dribbling her mouthpiece to the canvas. Keibler's slumped frame twitched and convulsed as her head lulled to the side, completely senseless on impact as Katic breathlessly threw her arms into the air in victory. A miraculous comeback, and the biggest win of Katic's budding career.
Post Fight:
There was quite a scuffle as Stacy Keibler was being brought to by her team in the corner, as Stana pushed through the official with a frustrated bark. Thinking Katic was brushing past for further abuse, the brunette instead meekly knelt at Stacy's hip and asked her corner for a moment alone. Affectionately wrapping her arm around the back of Keibler's neck and nuzzling to her ear, Katic appeared to gush to Keibler, offering unknown words of encouragement as the pensive blonde just nodded along. With a parting kiss on the cheek, Katic slinked back to her corner and winked, leaving the ringside patrons wondering exactly what was discussed...
