Intro/Fight:
Despite a decent number of fights under her belt, Manuela Arcuri's commitment to the BBU made her a relative unknown against FCBA fighters. With recent losses to Theron and Katic, largely the only measuring sticks Lima could utilize, this bout was expected to be one-sided. But after being knocked down already in her first bout against a 57-year old, Lima could take no one for granted.
After coming out hot once again and doing enough to win the first, Lima once again fell into some bad habits. Arcuri loaded up her weighted right and went to the well on repeat, devastating a hapless Lima with a barrage of uppercuts and sweeping crosses that left her with little room to operate safely. Despite being at a height disadvantage, Manuela's long arms gave Adriana fits; rendering Lima's sinewy stems unable to overpower her when they twisted into a clinch. At every break, Arcuri would tag Lima with a parting shot, rippling her rib cage with a meaty right on three separate occasions. Lima struggled to assert herself, darting forward for the same vaulting lefts she'd utilized against Hurley, but finding no such success. Arcuri was unfazed by Lima's speed, instead matching it where Hurley couldn't and answering with some lightning-quick, biting uppercuts of her own. Lima kept running head-first into a brick wall for three straight rounds, managing to squeeze in virtually no offense of her own as Arcuri frustrated the model and her backers to no end.
Three stellar rounds from the puzzling Italian, and Lima had seen enough. Out the window flew her finesse game, and in came the muscle, her dormant right hand finally making an impact as she opened the fifth with a looping overhand that crashed straight through Manuela's guard and clobbered the side of her head. It wasn't pretty, but it was flush, and Arcuri's noodly legs showed as much. Lima stalked the wounded actress, pumping successive lefts into her awkwardly hunched frame, eventually following with another bludgeoning right that sent Manuela teetering into the ropes. Arcuri responded with a meaty left that bore a hole straight through Lima's slender navel, backing Adriana off for the time being and allowing her to limp to the end of the round; the model howling as she stamped her foot in frustration. Lima bared her gummy-shielded teeth, wincing as her mouth hung open sucking wind to start the sixth, clearly still struggling to breathe after Arcuri's gutting left hand. The gangly model ceded the positional battle as she hunched to Arcuri's height, drifting toward the ropes at her back as Manuela applied some pressure, testing with another tummy-hunting right hand that clapped against Lima's flexing lower belly. Lima sprung off the ropes wailing at full-throat, then twirled through a sharp left to the jaw. Arcuri's bulbs rolled in their sockets as she was staggered, skittering a few steps back. Manuela coiled a shoulder-height left hand, but Lima was too quick, devouring the space between them and slinging a carbon copy left cross that struck higher, thumping Arcuri's temple. Arcuri slumped forward for a split second before rocking back, collapsing in a puddle in the center of the ring, her limp frame quaking the ring as she sprawled spread eagle. Her eyes flickering shut on impact, the official called an immediate stoppage to the fight, putting Lima in the driver's seat of Pool D.
