Post by Tractorpull on Sept 11, 2022 12:32:15 GMT -6
Once again. I present this month’s edition of my much maligned predictions. As usual it is littered with unflattering comments, cheap shots and unjustified criticism. Last month I went 34-10 running my total to 3439-971 or 78% correct.
LOWNDES/D.RYAN. JMD
C.COLE/OZAWA. Cole is 6-1 for the year with the one loss being to Natalie Portman. She has a career record of a combined 75-42 and has held the BBU Flyweight title. Ozawa has a combined record of 12-7 and has lost three of her last five. Ozawa is a little younger and bigger. It won’t help her. Cole will win
YUSTMAN/MAXWELL. Yustman is a 37 year old veteran of fourteen FCBA seasons. She has a career record of 47-34-1 and has held the Unified Lightweight title once, She hasn’t done well recently, losing five of her last six, but all to top lightweights. Maxwell has a career record of a combined 6-11. She has lost eight of her last nine. I have no doubt that Odette will walk away with a KO win
D’ERRICO/NOLIN. D’errico is a fifty-four year old who has a career record of 10-9. She lost a fight to Carmen Electra on December 29, 2002 She didn’t have another fight for nineteen years. She returned to action in July. 2021 and since has won three of four fighting older unremarkable opponents. Nolin has a career record of 131-82-3. She has held fifteen either sectional or Unified welter and lightweight titles. She was barred from the Hall of Fame for being the dirtiest fighter ever to grace the FCBA ring. She hasn’t fought in over two years and has lost seven of her last eight. Nolin hasn’t forgotten how to go low. She will win.
STRIJD/GARRN Strijd has a career record of 19-12 and has won seven of her last ten with wins over Merritt and Utgaard. Garrn has a combined record of 11-9 and is 2-3 in the FCBA. She has lost five of her last seven. I believe that Strijd will walk away with a win.
BUSH/MERNA JMD.
T.ATKINSON/LIVELY. Atkinson has won six of her last ten with wins over Hannah Ferguson and Palicki. Boxing World has her ranked at eight among the welter contenders. Lively has caught fire this year winning eight of ten with wins over Upton and Leotta. Boxing World ranks her at six in welter contenders. The two have never fought. I am going to go with Atkinson to pop Lively’s bubble.
PALTROW/THERON. A grudge match between two Academy Award Winners. I’m barred from predicting a Theron fight
N.FISHER/K.GALE. Fisher has only had six fights winning three. She has wins over Cowan and Tatangelo. Gale has a combined career record of 19-9. She has won five of her last six with the loss being to Lima. Gale is 2 1/2 inches taller than Fisher. I think Gale’s height will be the deciding factor as she wins
LIMA/ALDRIDGE. Lima is now forty-one and has held the Unified Lightweight title. She has lost her last three and five of her last ten. Aldridge has a combined record of 27-13 and like Lima she has won five of her last ten. She’s only four years younger than Lima and two inches shorter. Boxing World has Lima ranked at fourteen and Aldridge comes in at twenty eight. That sounds about right. Lima will win
PORTMAN/BECKY G. Portman is now 41. A member of the Hall Of Fame, she has held eleven Unified Flyweight titles and has won her last five. Becky G has a career record of 11-12 and has lost six of her last ten. The only advantage she has it that she is sixteen years younger. That won’t cut it Portman adds another W to her record
N.SCOTT/TREVEJO. Scott, a former Unified bantam champ has had a rough time recently losing six of her last eight. One of her wins was over Minka Kelly. Trevejo record is almost the opposite of that of Scott. She has won six of her last nine but lost her last two to Demi Rose and Larson. Scott is two inches taller than Trevejo. I believe she will regain her momentum with a win over Trevejo
MICHELLE WILLIAMS/BASSINGER. Williams is now forty-two. She is a member of the Hall Of Fame and a ten time Unified bantam champ. She has won her last five with wins over Cameron and Vanessa Hudgens. Bassinger has won six of her last ten. The two have fought twice with each winning one. Williams is two inches taller, but she is eighteen years older than Bassinger. I’m going to take a chance on Bassinger, but don’t bet on this prediction.
LAVIGNE/PANETTIERE. This will be Lavigne’s sixteenth fight of the year. She has a 10-5 record for the year. She is knocking on the door of the Hall Of Fame. All she need is fights which is the reason she has been so busy this year. Panettiere is a veteran of 125 FCBA fights. She is a three time Unified flyweight champion and a member if the Hall Of Fame. Only thirty-three she seems to be fading having lost eight of her last ten. The two have fought twice with Hayden winning both. I doubt Hayden will make it three in a row. Lavigne wins
E.ROBERTS/WATSON. Roberts is 5-3 for the year, but has won her last five with wins over Hale, Cicchino and Pugh. Watson has won ten of her last eleven with the loss being to Olivia Holt. The two have fought twice with Watson winning both. While Watson has the better recent record, I think Roberts has fought tougher competition. I go with Roberts to win
ZIEGLER/MCNAMARA. The nineteen year old Ziegler made her debut this year and has won seven of nine against competition suitable for a newbie. Her losses were to Lavigne and recently Millie Bobby Brown. McNamara has three times the experience with a 16-12 record but has lost five of her last seven and both her fights this year. Ziegler is promising, while McNamara is doomed to be a journeywoman. I’m going to go with Ziegler.
LOVATO/PAUSINI. Pausini loses her thirty first fight in a row.
DEMI ROSE/LARSON. Demi Rose has a combined record of 35-11, 43 of which have been in the FCBA. She has held one Unified bantam title. She has won seven of her last ten. Larson has had eleven fights this year winning nine. Her losses were to Trevejo and Chopra. She has wins over Olsen and Sienna Miller. To say I am not a fan of Rose is an understatement. OK, so I am prejudiced, but I am going with Larson
VANCAMP/LAMBORGHINI. VanCamp is a four time Unified bantam champ. Now thirty eight, she is beginning ti fade. She has lost ten of her last eleven FCBA fights. Lamborghini is ten years younger and has a 23-6 record. She has won eight of her last ten with the losses being to Olsen and Bella Thorne. Lamborghini by a KO5
M.B.BROWN/ORKIN. Brown made her FCBA debut in March and has compiled a 7-0 record with wins over Tiger Free and Ziegler. I don’t know who Orkin is. I don’t find her listed in the archives, but I am going to take a chance of Brown
KYLIE JENNER/TANANGELO. JMDD
UPTON/KENDALL JENNER Jenner packing on the fights to get into the Hall Of Fame. This will be her ninety-ninth fight. She just needs one more fight and she is in assuming she wins fight one hundred. She has an 8-5. record after the recent FNL card. Upton has just joined the Hall Of Fame. The two have fought five times with Upton holding 3-2 edge. Once again I’m prejudiced. Upton is a good friend so I go with her to win, but the loss will have no effect on Jenner’s Hall Of Fame drive.
A.WILLERTON/LYNN Willerton has won six of her last ten. She has wins over Kubicka, Kloss and Barros. Lynn got off to a great start in 2021 winning eight of ten. This year is a different story as she is 1-6. Her losses were to top fighters including two to Righetti and two to Swift. She has fought the far better competition. I have to go with Lynn.
DONNELLY/D.CAMPBELL Donnelly has won nine of her last ten, fighting a Front Street schedule. Campbell has lost ten of her last fourteen. One of her losses was to Donnelly’s stablemate Winter. Donnelly needs to win this fight or be sitting at the end of the Front Street flyweight bench. I’ll go with Donnelly
McMAHON/SABATINI. JMDD
SPIRANAC/NEMOTO JMD
BRESLIN/VANZANT. Breslin has won seven of her last ten with wins over Lavigne and Kendrick. VanZant has had only ten fights winning six. Her wins were unremarkable. I have to go with Breslin
MCADAMS/J.CONNELLY McAdams is now forty-four and is a five time Unified bantam champ. She has won five of her last ten, but is 1-3 for the year losing to Lilly, Reinhart and Beckinsale. Connelly is now fifty-two and has held three Unified bantam titles and five sectional bantam titles. Since coming out of retirement in 2016 she has gone 2-2 losing to Jennifer Garner and Katheryn Winnick. The two have fought three times with Connelly winning two. I think McAdams more recent activity is going to be the difference. McAdams will even the score
ORTEGA/J.PARRISH. This will be Ortega’s first FCBA debut. Parrish has an unremarkable 3-11 record but she has experience that Ortega doesn’t. Newbies seldom win their first fight, so I go with Parrish.
PIETERSE/MONREAL. Pieterse has a career record of 18-18 and has won five of her last ten. She is 1-2 for the year after losing to Chopra and Weaving. Monreal has only had six career fight winning three. This will be her first fight of the year. Pieterse is a little bigger, younger and has the experience. Pieterse will win.
SWIFT/JAMES. Swift has won eight of her last ten including three wins over DiDonato. James is undefeated in thirteen fights. She has recently beaten Kendall Jenner, Winstead. Strahovski and Teles. Not much difference in age, but Swift has a four inch height advantage and eight times the experience. Experience hasn’t been a factor in James’ fights, but the four inch height disadvantage is going to be telling. Swift ends James’ winning streak.
DIDONATO/K.PERRY. DiDonato has had sixteen fights this year and won ten of them. Her losses were to top lightweights like Righetti, Swift, Winstead and Agdal. I am not allowed to say anything negative about Perry, therefore I can say nothing at all other than it would not be a good idea to invite both of us to the same party. The two fought once before with Perry winning. DiDonato will even the score.
OLSEN/S.GOMEZ. Olsen has had fourteen fights so far this year and won eleven. She has won her last five with wins over Lamborghini and Taylor-Joy. Boxing World has her ranked four in the bantam contenders list. Gomez has won seven of her last ten with losses being to Bella Thorn, Demi Rose and Munn. The two have fought once before with Olsen winning. Olsen will repeat.
GILLAN/RHODA. Gillan has won seven of her last ten with wins over Upton, Flair and Rhoda. Rhoda has also won seven of her last ten. The two have fought twice before with Gillan winning both. Boxing World has Rhoda ranked at one in the welter while Gillan comes in at seven. I have to go with Rhoda to finally beat Gillan
MCKINNEY/RIGHETTI. I almost never bet against Righetti. This is not one of those rare times. Righetti wins
VISMARA/MCCARTHY. JMD
A.LYNCH/LIND. Lynch has won seven of her last ten. Her losses were good fighters, Khalifa, Olsen and Moss. He wins were over unremarkable opponents. but she did have some big wins last year. Lind has won five of her last ten and has beaten the likes of Lamborghini, Santoro and Scott. She has lost to Reinhart, Olsen and Gomez. Boxing World has Lind ranked at nineteen in the bantam and Lynch at twenty four. I am going for Lynch to pull a minor upset.
L.COLLINS/J.L.COLEMAN. Collins is having a great year. She has had ten fights and won them all. She, however, is trying to play it safe. He opponents have been mediocre to average and she has avoided any of the top twenty flyweights. Despite the her average schedule, Boxing World has her ranked at three in the flyweights
Coleman has won six of her last ten. She 1-2 for the year after losing to Lowndes and Pugh. Boxing World has her ranked at thirty-six. Collins will win
REN/Z.COLEMAN. Ren has won seven of ten this year. Her big win was over Kendall Jenner while losing to DiDonato. Winstead and Ratajkowski, a bantam. She has held one Unified lightweight title. Boxing World has her ranked at eight in the lightweight contenders. Coleman has a career record of 8-9 and has lost six of her last ten. Boxing World has her ranked at fifty-five. Ren in five
RATAJKOWSKI/KUBICKA. JMD
HUDGENS/CICCHINO. For the dumbest title ever invented. I’m not going to justify this match with a name
CHOPRA/LILLY For the Princess of the Ice Hotel. Chopra holds the title. Seems this type of title is the only one she can win. In eight years, she has had two title chances and lost both. She has won eight of her last ten and has beaten Taylor Joy, Kosarin, and Demi Rose. In her last fight she lost a title fight to Reinhart. Lilly is a seven Unified bantam champ and a member of the Hall Of Fame. She is now 43 and has lost seven of her last ten. Chopra is only three years younger and 1/1/2 inches taller, but I think she will win.
B.THORNE/KHALIFA JMD TITLE
DECKER/FERGUSON JMDD. TITLE
CAMERON/RAMIREZ For the Unified Flyweight Title. This will be Cameron’s fourth defense. She is eight- two for the year and has won her last five. Her losses were to Michelle Willians and Mendes. Ramirez has won five of her last ten and earned this title fight by losing to Danielle Campbell in the August PPV. She has a career record of 12-11. Ramirez is ranked at nineteen in the flyweight. Cameron wlll successfully defend her title
ROBBIE/REINHART. For the Unified Bantamweight Title. This will be Reinhart’s fourth title defense. She has won all of her last ten. Robbie has been in the FCB for eleven years and is now in the fifth stable, She has a career record of 32-26. She has won five of her last ten and all four of her fights this year. In her title defenses, Reinhart has beaten Chopra, Lind and Scodelario. I’m a fan of Robbie, but I have go with Reinhart to successfully defend her title.
AGDAL/T.HILL. For the Unified Lightweight Title. This will be Agdal’s fourth title defense..In previous defenses she has beaten DiDonato, Kylie Jenner and Rohrbach. She has won all eight of her bouts this year and nine of her last ten. Hill has won nine of her last ten fighting a basic Front Street schedule. Hill has won nine of ten with her only loss being to Swift. The two have fought twice before with each winning one. I’m going to take a chance on Hill to be the new Unified Lightweight champ
LAWLEY/BOCCIA. For the Unified Welterweight Title. This will be Lawley’s second title defense. She beat Hannah Ferguson in her first. Lawley has won fifteen straight going back the November of last year. Boccia. Has won nine of eleven this year with her losses being to Upton and Decker, but she beat Upton in a return match. Lawley’s big advantage is her size. She is five inches taller than Boccia. Age is not a factor. I have to go with “Godzilla” to retain her title.
LOWNDES/D.RYAN. JMD
C.COLE/OZAWA. Cole is 6-1 for the year with the one loss being to Natalie Portman. She has a career record of a combined 75-42 and has held the BBU Flyweight title.
