BEFORE: Former Sports Illustrated cover models meet to celebrate Bar Refaeli's 50th official FCBA fight but Lily Aldridge claims she came to Cabo San Lucas to win and she might spoil the blonde's party after all. Bar admits her best boxing days are behind her as she chases the first victory since April 2018 however fans gathered around the Mexican resort bleachers still give her a loud cheer and the Israeli model appears to be more relaxed than usual blowing kisses left, right & center as she walks down the provisional aisle where the American opponent awaits her in the sandy ring already.
Lily Aldridge wears a black & white themed bikini set & red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Bar Refaeli wears a light blue bikini set & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a high ponytail. Both women are barefoot. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Rounds 1 & 2:
Blonde gets off to fast start and dominates the early action as Lily eats a nasty stinger on the ear seconds in the fight and doesn't truly recover from it until she's backed into the ropes soaking up more leather abuse! Bar hammers several crisp shots between the fellow model's shaky guard and rolls back some years to knock the brunette's head back & forth much to the crowd's delight! Aldridge realizes she's not slugging herself back into contention and clinches the blonde in blatant fashion before applying some gut-checking pressure. More of the same in the second, Bar works the high-octane drill and overwhelms the American in a head-hunting chase. Lily's left brow ridge begins to swell once she takes too many clear hits on target and she has to rely on some quick mobility to avoid the slugging haze. Refaeli barks in anger upon Lily reeling away from her wrath but she keeps the work rate going and clobbers the subdued foe onto the ropes again where she clips her breasts for a good measure.
Rounds 3 & 4:
Lily recovers from the poor start to bash the blonde's midriff and profits from an early clash of heads that drops Bar onto her heels. She beats the fellow model for an overhand double and cranks up the head-hunting juice to knock Refaeli back to the post. The Israeli model doesn't offer impressive footwork and gets stuck in the sand while Aldridge barrels around her ribcage to score easy punches before she rattles the blonde with an uppercut series. Bar is slow to get up for the fourth and looks awfully hittable whenever Lily lands the opening punch. There's a reason why Refaeli is winless since 2018 and she leaks more blows up the middle so Lily simply pummels her into a standstill over in the neutral corner where she lands more gut shots to slump the blonde into loud spasms come the bell. And just like that it's all square on the cards after four.
Rounds 5 & 6:
Bar manages to hold her own during the initial tangle as Lily goes for the head shot kill but misses the target and allows the blonde to find the response from the inside. Lily's swollen brow ridge remains an issue but Refaeli works the uppercut delivery to knock her around the sand before trying to land that piledriver again... to no avail. Aldridge restores order when she packs more body shots in the second minute but Refaeli drives her head in the chest and knocks the brunette over. Woof! The brief stoppage allows Bar to recover from her troubles and she's more aggressive of the two thereafter but Lily's superior mobility makes the difference again. Not much luck in the sixth round either as another clash of heads drops the blonde off her course and Aldridge just can't plug her body assault hard enough which results in another clinch before the brunette shoves her foe onto the ropes and hammers a late rally on the exposed stomach to slump Refaeli into spasms... the clock comes to the rescue!
Round 7:
Refaeli anticipates another body assault and misreads the brunette's approach which NAILS her on the chin with an uppercut double before another hard shot lands on the ear and spins the blonde sideways with a whimper. Uh-oh!!! Bar tries to plant her heels in the sand but she's all out of sorts just as Lily SMOKES her with a one-liner on the mouth... the gumshield flies off and Bar CRASHES FACE DOWN on the sand to rise no more!!! Brutal KO7 Lily Aldridge!!!
AFTER: The Mexican crowd is stunned how quickly the blonde model headed for the exit door and Lily pulled a KO for the scrapbook here indeed. There will be plenty of free cervezas in the drinks bar tonight and the usually mild-mannered Lily is still bemused over that headbutt in the rack moment in the fifth: "I know she is desperate for a win these days but come on! I had to knock her lights out after that one! And it looks like I did! Pour some tequila over her head so maybe she wakes up!" (giggles).
