Cat Bell vs Kate Beckinsale

(Thanks to FightFanm for this repost)
Before: Cat anxious to prove the demoralizing loss to Charlize is behind her - seeking out the flavour of the month to make a statement. "Cat Bell needs to step aside," says confident Kate. "I'll finish what Charlize started, and finish it vigorously. Cat Bell won't go rounds with me - I won't allow it." Bravado brings to mind similar statements made by Carrie Ann Moss, the last moviestar brunette to seriously push Bell. "That wasn't pretty," as one Celebrity Ring scribe recalls. "Cat put that uprising down hard - she's definitely motivated by this kind of thing coming at her from her own backyard." Bell in dark leopard print bra and panties, white shoes (FHM) - Kate in black bikinik black shoes.
During R1: Bell showing no signs of Theron-hangover early - diagnosing Beckinsale's style on the move and hitting her hard. Kate with the tight weaving crouch - uppercut's the right punch and Cat's jerking in left uppies off the firm jab to stack Kate up early. Beckinsale out of her crouch is there for right hands - Bell dropping in a pair of beauties to light Beck up at the minute mark - Katie staggering to the ropes wide eyed. All Cat Bell from that point on - vintage, muscular beat down along the ropes. Bell riding her forearms onto Kate's shoulders, bumping her back, jackhammering her flanks, looking for tight right or left uppercuts anytime Beckinsale buckles forward. Hamhanded drumming leaves Katie wobbly butt - Bell looking her over at the break, already piecing together what's going to work the rest of the night.
R2: Kate showing terrific resilience, sheds the punishment, attacks Bell with vigour to open the second. Beckinsale fists tight to cheek, bobbing and weaving, bringing her feet with her as she advances and pounding out the firm jab - Bell forced to retreat, looking to range to spot her own stick. Kate a master of hooking out of the bob - she's dipping, digging, moving her head - Bell missing some tapping rights and lefts as she just tries to find the mark. Beckinsale working the flank, working the flank, staying on the body then CHECKING THAT CHIN! Horrific, jarring hook on the button drapes Cat shabby in the ropes, vacant stare - hands at her chest and BECKINSALE PILES ON! Right hand, left hand - short, drifting punches on the mouth - Bell's head set to jostling and THE REF STEPS IN! Good Lord - Cat Bell erased in 2!
After: Carrie Ann Moss couldn't do it, but Kate steps up and takes care of business - Cat Bell badly stunned, can't withstand Kate's blistering, gatling gun attack. Beckinsale crowing in victory - she's not afraid of Pratt, she wants Biel of course, Jennifer Garner must fall and Charlize will be a trophy - the usual euphoric gushing after a stupendous upset win like this. Bell listless, shellshocked - sharks are already circling. "Fighters are starting to say it out loud," says one BLONDE! reporter ringsider, "Jeri Ryan was very vocal about Cat having her spirit broken by Charlize Theron and this is the proof. A prime Cat Bell eats Kate Beckinsale's lunch. The Cat Bell we have left gets beat up - simple."

Cat Bell vs Nicole Kidman
Posted by simguy on 6/25/2004, 6:06 pm
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: "I'm going to jab Catherine's face into putty," says an intense Nicole Kidman in prefight. "I'll box her like she's never been boxed before. I plan to win every round of this fight and post a 10-0 on this girl - that's what we've trained for." Bell fielding attacks concerning her losses to Theron, the KO to Beckinsale - at one point she just throws up her hands - "Look - I'm fighting Nicole Kidman and that's going to be tough enough without you guys harping on every mistake I've made in my whole career. Get off it. If you're interested, nobody knows Nicole Kidman better than Terry Farrel, and I think we've cooked up a scheme that could really be special. Don't miss it while you're watching tape of Beckinsale knocking me out." Nicole in pretty high ponytail, pale blue and white tartan print bra style bikini top, white bottoms, gloves - Cat in electric blue bikini, white gloves.
During R1: Nik true to her word, circling rigidly, shifting weight to a stiff left leg as she pulses out the jab - Cat respecting it, parrying it with the right mitt, jabbing back to disrupt Nicole's timing. Minute of thrust and parry midring - Cat getting her face spanked as Kidman's stick won't be denied, but brunette thumping away to upperchest with her own poke, staying in range, getting the rhythm down. Midway through - Nik step-and-jabbing - Cat with a little rock-back fade, comes back a WHISTLING counter-right cross over the stick and KIDMAN GETS CLOCKED! Crowd screaming on impact - Nicole instantly wrecked - knees rubbery, feet baby-stomping on the spot. Cat stepping close to knuckle her left hand against Nik's chest, then leaning in with a bludgeoning right on the teeth, keeping weight on the front foot to jerk a brisk left uppercut onto the blasted chin of her foe. Kidman already out - head being tetherballed by Cat's accurate finishing burst - blonde lays out on her back with a thunderous crash. KO1 in shattering fashion, Cat Bell.
After: Fired-up Bell refusing to walk or otherwise torment her foe despite crowd chants ("PUN-ISH HER! PUN-ISH HER!") - but you can see the pleasure in her eyes, upbeat body language as she nods and chats with Terry while gloves are tugged free. Jab the jabber, counter with the right hand, finish with combinations - textbook TE fightplanning down to the last detail. Kidman looking like she just heard the words, "Honey, I'm screwing a hot little Spanish chick, how 'bout a divorce?" as she sits up and takes salts on the canvas.

Catherine Zeta Jones vs Cat Bell
Posted by simguy on 9/25/2004, 10:19 am
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: "Oh, that's a good one," Cat Bell chuckles at the dais during Q&A with the press. "Who's more unbearable: Catherine Zeta Jones or Charlize Theron? Hmmm. You know, the thing is - Theron wants your best game and I do respect that about her. She's insufferable of course, but she does want you to fight and she does want to beat you at your best. Jones hates fighting - she hates it. She'd be happy to have you handcuffed to the turnbuckle so she could work you over at her leisure - and that, to me, makes her worse. She's technically more difficult to prepare for - you never know what she's going to do - she can use her feet, she can go inside on you, she can work your trunks - but overall, I have more respect for Charlize." Jones late for press conferences when she shows at all - she's giving Bell the full Diva treatment in an attempt to unnerve the TV star. "I would direct Ms. Bell's attention to the recent Tractorpull rankings, which I consider to be authoritative. There she will see something that has been apparent for years, but perhaps not so obvious to someone as sheltered and protected as she: I AM the better fighter. She should be flattered this fight is taking place at all - respectful silence is all I require from that side of the dais." There it is then - red bikini CZJ, electric blue Bell.
During R1: Jones jab/right hand - Cat weaving side to side and slugging righty to gut! CZJ shook in the opening moments as Cat digs in - Bell going breadbasket with harsh, pumping rights, easing the left over Catherine's shoulder as Jones folds forward, pounding the Brit in stages to the ropes and ROASTING her to the body! Breathless clinch Jones, eyes betraying shock as she hugs up - but Cat won't have it. Bell heaving Jones sideways to the corner, striding in and staying on the body. Bell stabilizing Jones with the left on the shoulder, digging with rich, thick rights curled up underneath - Jones sobbing, trying to cover up and ZETA JONES TAKES A KNEE! CZJ hugging herself, shivering - Bell expressionless in neutral corner, breathing deep through the nose, waiting for 8. Bell moves back in... Raking assault along the ropes - Zeta J sliding to her left - Bell stepping-with, pawing out the jab and laying in horrific rights to the ribs and waist. Uppercuts and hooks in another corner - Jones covered up, helpless to stop the bombardment - Bell's face tight with effort as she strokes home lefts to the flank, arches the rights up and in.
CZJ scattering along to her right again, eyes brimming, dazed - NO offence from Jones - she's a hunted, frightened thing as Cat walks her down. Ripping barrage to the body - Cat stacking Jones up into the ropes with rough shoulder work, crowding close, then packing in the leather. It's all too much - Jones slumping to all fours with a groan - Bell stepping aside to ponder her handiwork. Give CZJ credit - she fights off the stoppage, taking another 8, but she's ramshackle. Final moments - Jones butt in ropes, hands at her temples, body stooped forward, mouth open and Bell just REEFING at what's left. Cat stabilizing with the palming left, MURDERING Jones to the midsection right hands, occasionally clouting her on the ear or jaw to mix it up, but the main thrust is to that suspect, overpaid gut. Seconds left - Jones sinks to her haunches in agony, sobbing freely now, hugging her ransacked ribcage, head back, face pinched and it-is-OVER! KO1 in hamhanded fashion Catherine 'Cat' Bell.
After: So much for the rankings! Crowd in awe - Bell not doing it Ryan style with one clinical shot, but the multiplicity of vicious, singleminded blows perhaps more destructive. Jones rocking, blubbering on her haunches for many moments - just three minutes ago she was the most regal, haughtiest, most arrogant woman in the FCBA. Now, she's a steaming heap of weepy brunette. Cat Bell pleased, but too gracious to gloat in postfight. "I'm thrilled. I hope she's ok, but I definitely set out to hurt Catherine right away - I wanted to go to the body, be the boss - I didn't want to give her the chance to give me any of her 'business', if you know what I mean. It was all me tonight - she looked a little pudgy to tell the truth and she paid the price she usually does for babying herself in training. I heard she was sparring with bantams for this - can you believe it? Just so she could pound on someone every day. I came in acknowledging how dangerous she could be and fought accordingly - that's all."

Cat Bell vs Vicki Pratt
Posted by simguy on 10/8/2004, 7:34 pm
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: Intriguing contest pitting wildly contrasting styles and abilities against one another. Pratt bringing her explosive, high octane offence to the dance, Bell her ring generalship, height and savvy bag of veteran tricks. Cat rebounding nicely last time out with a crushing first round demolition of haughty Catherine Zeta Jones - is Bell on an upswing? "I sure hope so," grins the former champ. "I like some of the new faces we've seen lately - but we've seen a LOT of them and they need to remember that Cat Bell is still out here. Vicki's a dynamic fighter, but she's all instinct - not a lot of science." Pratt for her part, grinning and rubbing her hands at the dais - she can't wait to dig in. Pratt in tan western motif hide bikini, Cat in white Stuff Mag bikini.
During R1: Cat pumping stick at the open, smashing away at Vicki as she jumps in, channelling and managing the blonde. Bell putting that short right hand together with the jab, leaning in and putting it on Vicki's chin, then smothering the receipt - exactly the formula Bell used to cool Jenny O'Dell's jets in the first. Upon parting, Bell strokes Vicki across the abdomen a long, sliding hook - good muscular stuff from Bell as Pratt goes back to her corner frustrated, slightly scuffed.
R2: Vicki jumping in, getting a little of Cat's chin with chopping right hands - Bell fighting tall, leaning away, pivoting to her left to take the steam off the charge. Cat keeping the jab on Vicki - straight, stiff pokes - Pratt pre-empted, jarred out of her rhythm - she's soon dancing to Cat's tune. Midway through, Cat jabs Vicki into position and leans in close to jam that tidy right hand to jaw - big shower of sweat flies off Vicki's head as her legs give a shimmy. Bell back with a sweeping hook loud off the breadbasket, then leaning in to extend a cross off Vicki's chin - Pratt clattering backwards all glassy-eyed and gumby-legged - she hits the ropes ashambles. Cat Bell beat down: Bell stepping-to, using the left to palm and stabilize Vicki in her shoulder and going body with those murderous, strapping right hands that put Zeta Jones on her knees. Vicki groaning, crossing her arms against her midsection and huddling forward - she's brave, but she takes a big-girl shellacking against the ropes as Bell works her over brawny to the break.
R3: Vicki shaky off her stool - gets worse as ramming jabs pound back her face and drive her ropes. Bell hard-eyed, face impassive as she gets on top, riding her guard into Vicki's shoulders, clouting Vicki hooks, picking her up right uppercuts and checking into that face with chopping, meanspirited rights. Pratt blinking, shellshocked - hands up as she bends forward and back - she's not anticipating well, getting hit with everything. Stroking body shot cuts deep under Vicki's elbows - tight rictus grin as she crumbles to all fours - brunette striding away without a backward glance as blonde struggles to rise. Pratt up but panting, left eye swelling, body throbbing and ON COMES CAT BELL! More systematic shellack doled out - Cat keeping perfect distance with big-girl shoves and palming, licking at the midsection, chopping at the chin - it's all too much. Vicki getting ransacked, soaking up punch after punch after punch and THE REF STEPS IN! Pratt bundled shaking into the man's arms as Cat nods, struts away very businesslike. Cold-blooded TKO3, Cat Bell.
After: The Cat is back - highly touted Pratt brought to heel and swiftly managed into defeat - fight much easier for Bell than ANYONE had anticipated. "I saw a lot on tape that we could do with Vicki," Cat says cooly in postfight, white towel around her neck, water bottle in hand. "You know, she jumps in a lot, she gambles with her speed, but I manage speed pretty well and I was lucky to track her early on and take that away from her. Vicki's all muscle and heart, but to beat good veteran opposition you need some variety - we're all getting good looks at Pratt and she's going to have to develop more than a quick first step to get us out."
