Anna Kournakova vs Cat Bell
Posted by simguy on 2/14/2003, 6:46 am
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: Cat Bell sizes up the comp: "Anna's a terrific physical challenge, I mean, she's got it all - youth, fitness, strength at light. But let's face it - the kid isn't seasoned. We've all seen her fold under pressure, but I've also heard about her whining during photoshoots - PHOTOSHOOTS! Really - I seriously question this girl's heart and I mean to test her resolve early and often in this fight." Anna more concerned with her glorious blonde locks during prefight, constantly asks, "Who is Cat Bell?" Cat in electric blue bikini, Anna in white crotchet sport top to a high neck, bare midriff, teal high waist aerobics trunks with fringe skirt to her thighs, white shoes, hair in long battle braid.
During R1: Girls business like to midring and CAT GETS HURT! Anna with a quick shift of her hips, wide stroking left and a jolting straight right on the chin sends Bell reeling back on her heels across the canvas to the ropes. Bell gloves at mouth, eyes wide in shock - Anna marching on her like a heartless cossack. Anna's offensive form superb, right hand tight at her cheek as she digs merciless hooks to Bell's hip and rightside ribs - she dips right to get leverage on snap-scooping right hands hard against the breadbasket, then hammers around the guard up top with biting short left/rights. Bell's strong legs keeping her upright, but she's getting battered - not much head movement as she covers up and lets Anna get off. Bell to bell Kournakova - blonde tireless as she works up and down her sexy brunette, nice crisp punching keeping that braid a-bouncing.
R2: Bell recuperating nicely, chastising herself for getting caught - she changes fight plans midstream. Bell jabbing with Kournakova, then jumping in to clinch - holding and hitting, roughing up on the inside, working out of the wrap - veteran gets after her blonde with meanspirited determination this round. Kournakova bocked to the ropes, struggling with bared teeth against Cat's roughouse tactics in close. Bell keeping her left arm around Anna's shoulders, stuffing hard right hands to tummy in tight, then easing Anna into a headlock, pressing her into the ropes for breaks. Smart punch n' clutch from the savvy vet - Anna flustered and complaining to ref during the break.
R3: Cat getting her body on Anna, constantly drapping one arm or the other around the girl's neck, jamming her ropeside, rubbing a cruel forearm against the mouth or throat in rough clinches. Kornakova straining against the grappling tactics of her foe, but not punching - she's waiting to get distance and Cat's not letting it happen. Bell scrounging for hard-to-score points, landing with cramming rights to the body, slamming short rights to the jaw and carrying through with mean elbows, constantly tying up Anna under her arms or headlocking her. Kournakova burdened with Cat's bodyweight as Bell presses her girl into the ropes - brunette smothering when she's not punishing her foe.
R4: Cat on the attack - Anna trying to create distance, stepping back behind a snapping jab. Bell with the right hand up around her left cheek, left across her body, crouching low and slipping the stick = she's working her way inside, getting her cheek on Anna's shoulder and going to work. Sensational body punching done by Bell - she's hacking right hands down knife-edge onto Anna's left hip and kidney, she's getting thick hooks into Anna's midriff, coming off the abs with a jagged left uppercut. Anna shipping leather, wilting to the ropes - hands up around her face, palms out - she's shutting down. Cat pours it on, giving it to Anna relentlessly in the waist, coming up with either hand with clipping uppercut action to the chin. Anna standing stiff at the ropes, tilting upon impact, not answering back. Ref waits until Kournakova's head starts to loll and roll rather than snap back sharply from punches, then he jumps in to cradle the blonde. Bell turning on her heel with a fierce shout of triumph - TKO4 Cat Bell.
AFter: Anna trembling in defeat, badly used by a harder, older brunette. Bell survives a disasterous opening, caught clean by Anna's short right hand - she'll file that away for future reference. "Anna can definitely punch if you let her," breezes Cat in post fight, "she wants to be an athlete in there, she wants her space, wants her rhythm to be just right. Once I saw that, I just crowded her, roughed her up, made her deal with my body and she just didn't have any answers. Her body's hard, but she doesn't like it in the stomach - I knew I could check her chin after shaking her up downstairs. She's a great Krusher addition: looks good on the scales, sells a lot of posters - when can I have a rematch?" Anna blubbering protestations in post fight, "Look at my back! (lifting left arm, turning to show her flank) Bruises! She was chopping at me with the side of her hand and that is a foul! I have heard that TE fighters are cheats, but I never would have believed it until tonight! Cat Bell is nothing more than a gangster."

Cat Bell vs Ashley Judd
Posted by simguy on 6/21/2003, 9:49 am
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: "She beat me the first time we fought," Cat recalls ruefully, "and said afterwards that she had pushed me to the sidelines and that now we would understand each other. I have to admit, that got to me a little bit. I don't think I've ever forgotten or forgiven Ashley for that, so yes, I feel a little extra motivation anytime we hook up." Judd a little off the radar screen these days, but still confident in her abilities. "Look, I'm not a pundit's darling," says Judd, "I don't pay for rankings the way most of these girls do and I don't kiss ass the way they do. I wasn't in the tournament because a lot of people thought I'd win it and they didn't like that. There isn't an important lightweight in this sport that I haven't beaten and Cat Bell knows that - she knows this is a real fight. Ask Jeri Ryan if Ashley J's to be taken lightly." Judd in red bikini, twist tied top, hipster bottoms - Cat in electric blue bikini.
During R1: Cat hands up, palms out, snapping down with the jab. Ashley dukes up around her temples, stepping forward, bobbing under the stick, jabbing back at Cat's middle to close the distance. Judd doing a good job of solving for range - she's getting inside Cat's reach, investing heavily in the waist with both hands. Ash backing Bell up with a meanspirited overhand right to the heart - really bashing it in there, drawing winces from the classy ex-champ.
R2: More pressure from Ashley - she's getting a lot of what she wants in terms of ring position, distance, coming forward etc. Bell sliding back, trying to negotiate behind her jab, but it's not landing - Judd's getting to her chest and working. Final minute - Bell steps back, right at her chest - she rolls a wide Ashley right, comes back with a bingo right uppercut on the chin - JUDD GOES WOBBLY BUTT! Cat placing a perfect counter on target, steps to the right as Ashley covers up - Bell leans into walloping right hands above the hip and behind the elbow to sink Judd sideways into the ropes. Round-bell saves AJ - she's pained, arching her back as Cat steals a Judd round.
R3: Cat taking over - doubling up the jab from the high guard, backing Judd up - Bell moving her girl to the perimeter, measuring her for chopping rights. Midway through - Ashley ducks under a Bell right, comes back a chin-checking counter hook and BELL GOES DOWN! Thunderclap shot on the chops has Cat on her butt - she tries to push off her rump, plops back down, finally rolling painfully to her feet to beat the count. Judd thick on follow up - extending her left between Cat's gloves to stabilize, then ripping right hands hard to the stomach - Cat cringing, looking shabby at the ropes. Grim war at the ropes, Judd head on Cat's shoulder, palming the taller girl's hips and ribs, jerking in tight lefts and rights - Bell hands around Judd's ears, controlling her head, holding her for little right uppercuts. Phonebooth action to Ashley's liking - she's got Bell giving up her height.
R4: Good solid bell to bell beatdown of classy Cat Bell. Ash jabbing pre-emptively, occupying Cat's guard, then carrying beefy right hands into the waist and ribcage, rattling Bell, shaking her legs. Bell against the ropes, head bowed, covered up - Ash able to work inside, drub the body, scrub jug and she's really committing to these awful overhand right heart punches that have Cat's face tight with pain.
R5: Signs of life from Cat - back to the jab, giving Ash some lateral movement for the first time, showing Judd angles. Cat mixing in right hands to keep Ashley off her - uppercuts, crosses, dropping 'em in, then stepping around, not waiting for the receipt. Bell gets her distance, keeps the fight in the middle of the ring - Judd lumping up around the eyes as she pursues to no avail this round.
R6: Bell using the ring, bookends the round with rangy boxing on the outside, but unfortunately for her, Judd makes merry with Cat's body in the middle minute. Crunching torso assault from Ashley has ringsiders shouting in response - Bell with hands up around Judd's ears, body cringing as Judd turns on thick rights and lefts, getting her hips and shoulders behind bruising blows. Bell sobbing for air - mouth open, eyelashes fluttering in these moments - Judd hammers away for points by landing the most meaningful punches of the round.
R7: Cat shopworn, but determined - she's back to the jab, scarring up Judd's eyes, luring her into counter-right crosses, sidestepping her, turning her at the ropes. Ashley reaching her jab in and trying to bend into that right hand heart punch, but Cat's fading it, stepping out in advance, walking around Judd to move her feet. Good round of boxing from Bell prevents Judd from building on a strong seventh - Ashley upbeat in her corner as trainer tells her she's got this thing in the bag. R8: Best two way action of the fight - Judd tearing her way into Cat, bulling her to the ropes, pushing her head between Bell's gloves and savaging her to the body with relentless lefts and rights. Bell sliding along strands, picking Ash up with uppercuts, controlling the girl's head, giving away the ribs, just trying to minimize the damage. All Judd to the final minute - she's mopping up, walking Cat down when Bell stops, turns on a beautiful hesitation right that claps the mouthpiece off Judd's teeth! Ashley caught up short, stunned, she puts her hands on her temples, wobbling forward as Bell piles on. Cat with room, swings at the midsection of her foe - great crippling, straight arm lefts and rights shaking Ash midring, paralyzing her. Judd with tears in her eyes at the bell, all stiff and hurting --Bell steals another AJ round with late power, doing her veteran thing down the stretch.
R9: Ash with early pressure, but Bell's got her legs back - she retreats, absorbing the momentum, keeping the jab on Judd and finally bringing the fireplug lightweight to heel midring. Rest of the way is methodical Cat Bell outside, jabbing to the face, stepping leisurely to her left, measuring and punishing her foe with choosy right hands. Judd on her heels, hands up to block, bending at the waist, but not coming forward - she's hanging around at the end of Cat's jab where it's just not safe.
R10: Cat aggressively takes midring, weight forward, feinting Ashley, getting her to flinch. Bell jabbing heartlessly, banging away on Judd's eyes, breaking her down - end of the first minute, gorgeous right hand flows off the stick, turning Judd's head and popping that mouthpiece out once again. Bell doesn't press even when Judd's legs give a shimmy - veteran circles right, keeps that merciless jab on her foe, keeps setting down on single right hands that are patiently ruining Ashley Judd. AJ coming alive in the final minute, suddenly aware her sizable lead might be in jeopardy - she walks through the jab to get to Cat's jugs, beating those babies brutally with rolling thunder on the inside. Heartfelt, bitter slugging after the bell as the ref separates seething beauties. Comes back UD10 Cat Bell.
After: Pain, disappointment in Judd's hollow eyes, she hangs her head, staring at the canvas - she carried a lead into the 9th against Cat Bell and couldn't close it out. Cat all beat up in her body and stepping gingerly, left arm cradling battered ribs, but she wears a weary smile: another veteran come-back, Bell scooping the last four rounds to eke this one out in the tenth. "Hard fight," Cat admits in postfight, "it always is against Ashley. She beat me in the body something horrible, but I just stayed with the gameplan, kept boxing her and whittled away at her down the stretch. Hey - Judd might not be ranked, but if you aren't world class, she's going to beat you. She brought out the best in me tonight."

Cat Bell vs Ch Cameron Diaz title bout
Unified Lightweight Title
Posted by simguy on 7/10/2003, 7:33 am
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: Girls size up the comp - Bell on Diaz: "Whew - where to begin? Cameron's the class of the division - no doubt about it - I'd pay to see her shadow box. Offensively, we've never seen a fighter wired like her - she's just a master boxer. She's got that mega star pride which makes her tough to stop, I mean, when Cam goes down, she thinks she's way too big a star to stay down and that pulls her up. And she really knows how to use her celebrity - she had poor Brittany so rattled psychologically, little Daniel just fought scared all night long - it's like extra punches in there. On top of everything else, she's setting down on her shots now - I never thought she'd take Brittany out, but she was CRACKING that kid! But you know, there's things I can do with Cam. People joke about my age and experience, but that's a big help against the superstars - the celebrity doesn't dazzle me the way it does a Brittany Daniel. Cam moves better than Theron, but the principle is the same - take her legs out of the fight, hammer that body and break her heart. I'll go to the chin as she breaks down and we'll see how it goes. Diaz is a great, great fighter, but we've got a plan in place, we've executed it before and we know it works." Diaz on Bell: "Says all the right things don't she? She always tries to soften a girl up with that 'oh gosh, you're SO good' crap, but this is the FCBA Lightweight Title Championship we're talking about - everybody's good baby. We can be friends after the fight, IF you behave yourself. Everyone knows Cat's all butter in prefight and vinegar in the ring - I'm not playing. She's a rough old cougar, I'll give her that, but she's in with the original lion tamer this time. UD10 Diaz!" Diaz in BI battle dress, Cat in dark tinted leopard print bra style bikini (FHM).
During R1: Cat feet wide, hands up high, palms out, chin tucked - she's batting at incoming, parrying, sliding little half-steps out, then inching forward. Diaz showing leg - gliding left or right, hands low, but she's safe outside. Cam shooting an up-jab off her hip, stepping off it, darting a little slashing right up the middle, just trying to break down Cat's defenses with movement and quicks. Bell shooting her jab between Diaz breasts, trying to stabilize her. Tactical stuff - Diaz getting her distance, rhythm, in control - Cat patiently looking to get closer, measuring what's in front of her.
R2: Diaz hands down, stepping to her right, using nice feints to get Bell flinching and Cam drops a sizzling right hand over Bell's left. Cat stumbling, covering up - Diaz quick to her right, blisters a series of batting lefts at the chest and face of her girl - Bell staggering backwards under fire, gets caught a leaping right on the chin that sends her reeling to the ropes. Diaz slashing in, letting her hands go - taut waist twisting as she generates lanky power on rising hooks, chopping right hands, tearing away at Cat's besieged defences and jawlines. Bell weathers the torrent, clinches, walks Diaz to mid ring for a break, but blood from Cat's nose has Cameron's eyes dancing. Rest of the round is classy Cam outside, dabbing her jab at Cat's eyes, dancing, finding place to stop and slide in the right on the mouth - Bell blocking a lot of shots, but occasionally getting caught clean enough to draw impressed hoots from the crowd. Shutout Diaz.
R3: Cam breezy first minute, dancing to a spot, putting punches together off her hips, right hands, lefts hooks, upjabs. Second minute - Bell making her reads, inching closer - she finally pulls the trigger on a well timed right, beating Cam to the punch and tilting her back on her heels. Diaz pulling straight back - Bell stepping with and thrusting out straight lefts and rights tagging champ and driving her ropeside! Cam hitting hard, bending forward covered up - Cat palms the shoulders to stabilize her girl, then REEFS at body! Palm up - hooks around the elbow - palm up, right hands looped under - Diaz trembling, feeling the shock. Cam's turn to clinch and wait for the break, but she can't walk Bell back. Cat doing a nice job hemming her girl in at the ropes, jabbing her to chest to foil the counters, swinging free to the body, palming up to show Cam who's the boss.
R4: Diaz with another boxing first minute - but face concerned, legs a little too hasty - Cat got to her last round. Bell tracks her down after 60 seconds, jabbing to chest, cutting off the ring, gets in range to swing righty at the waist, come back the hook up top - Diaz shook up, backed to the ropes once again. Bell systematic - jabbing to close, banging hard to flanks and midriff, palming and propping, really ruff with Cam in close. Cat working hard, pushing and jostling, riding her left hand/forearm on Diaz, positioning, then SAWING the right uppercut up and down! 1,2,3 short serious shots, Cam all ragdolled and DIAZ GOES DOWN! Diaz on her haunches, falling into Cat's legs - Bell hops back to let a startled champ spread out to all fours. There's that pride: Cam beats the count, wobbly butt at the ropes - she lays back and waves Cat in! Diaz setting up rope-a-dope, hands at her temples, stooped forward, all loose and supple, looking to lean forward, lean into the ropes to slip and blunt punches. Cat climbs aboard, ignoring the head: she's wants that wiry, toned, firm little midsection.
R5: Shutout Cameron Diaz - champ showing gutty superstar resilience, gets her legs back and works around the perimeter. Cam leggy, fading back from Cat's jab, but reversing field so quickly - she's getting that little darting counter right over top. Come-along hooks as Cam steps right, reverses field to drop the right. Pretty sidesteps - Cam with a pushing hand at the elbow or back to turn Bell, get her moving her feet. Not a lot of damage - Cam content to pretty Cat up, show the judges some flash - Bell unable to cut off the ring and put an end to show.
R6: More Diaz boxing - taking away Bell's opportunities. They fight when Diaz says they fight, they move when she doesn't want action - Cam's legs imposing themselves on this fight. Diaz flicking jab starting to mark Cat up around the eyes - right hands off the step to the right have the range on Cat's jaw - Diaz getting some solid looks as she polishes Cat up through 6.
R7: Shutout Cam Diaz. NOW she's mixing in the powerpunching - boxing to a spot, going flat footed and throwing HARD, rigid 3 punch combos, finishing up with her hook. Cat gritting her teeth, hands up at temples, wading through it, but when she gets close, Diaz gets around her, luring her to another spot. End of the round - Diaz with a shoulder shimmy freezes Cat, picks Bell up a little right uppercut, punches a thick straight left into the chest and cracks an overhand right that moves Bell to her right, hands tight at her head as she takes. Syren splashing water on Cat's face, reminding her of the plan - it's classic 'yer blowin' it kid' stuff from the TE trainer.
R8: Bell out with that rigid stick in the chest, then clinching - she's bodying up, muscling Diaz to the ropes, bogging this thing down. Pushing match instead of a boxing match and Bell's making the most of it, mauling Cam along the apron, touse-rubbing the pretty blonde's face, pushing her biceps back, occasionally loading up and batting downstairs. Diaz struggling for hand position, taking her turn with blatant jug mugging, trying to back Cat off with pumping salvos to rack, but brunette smothering keeps blonde on the ropes.
R9: Bell jabbing thick to the chest, driving Cam back, then bodying up - Cat all muscular and heavy as she reaches under Diaz arms, lets her feel the weight. Bell working out of the wrap, riding her left around Diaz shoulders, plundering her body the beefy right hand, smothering up to reset. Diaz in quicksand, writhing and pushing to free herself, but this thing's being fought out in her trunks. Bell claws her way to another ugly, sloppy round - drawing boos - crowd much prefering Diaz' showy, well articulated, extended punches to this stuff.
R10: Too close to call - it's down to the tenth and final. Bell going through her check list: close behind the chest jab, drive Cam to the ropes; bang the body, get Cam stationary, covering up; body up to smother receipts, keep Cam's butt in the ropes, smother and molest her when not punching. Diaz whining, frustration evident, but midway through, Cat gets that sneaky hold n' hit right uppercut on the chin and shuts off blonde legs! Diaz sagging, slumping back into the ropes - Bell helps herself to face with a heartfelt, vigorous course of lefts and rights - Diaz just sitting there, getting her head bashed side to side. Blonde somehow reaching around brunette hips and stops the insanity, but Diaz is hurt, digging in to survive - Bell getting on top and working her hard. Bell gnawing on her girl out of the wrap, preventing Cam from going down, but also preventing Cam from doing anything else - Cat's shutout 10th gives her the fight. UD10 for the winner and NEW lightweight champ - Catherine 'Cat' Bell!
After: How many times have we seen Cat pull out a close fight late with savvy, determination and will? Diaz in battered shock - in control after 7, she drops the last three and watches as her title belts are handed over. "I give Syren a lot of credit tonight," says Cat, arm around her trainer, eyes worn from Cam's vindictive jab, "Diaz was taking me apart a little bit in the middle rounds and Syren steadied the ship. We got back to the body, I roughed her up a little along the ropes, you know, we did what we had to do. The thing with the flashy quick fighters is to keep it close so you don't have to take chances down the stretch. I didn't want to have to open up and try for a knockout - I just wanted to get my body on her and grind her down late and that's what happened." Diaz complaining about Cat's girth in postfight - "Look at her belly - look at her ass, those tits! There's no way she's a lightweight! I was pushing against her with all my strength and couldn't budge her! Inconceivable!"

Ch. Cat Bell vs Jenny O'Dell title bout
(Unified Lightweight Title)
Posted by simguy on 7/26/2003, 6:14 am
(Thanks to FightFan for the repost)
Before: Jessica Biel crashes a prefight conference, calling out Bell, then wanting an O'Dell rematch, then she wants winner - reactions illustrative as Jennifer charges off the dais, being held back by the press while Bell sits shaking her head at tempestuous youths all snarling and writhing. "If Jennifer's honest, she'll admit I gave her a beating the first time we met," says Cat. "I broke her down and took something out of her, but I always knew she had what it took to come back and she's exceeded even my expectations. She's not the rude brawler she was on her first tour - you don't see her taking girls out with one big punch - she's placing her shots, not getting hit - Jen's a real pro now." Pundits guessing with TE management - always hard to time a hot fighter like O'Dell. "You can see the wheels turning at Magnolia," says one BLONDE! magazine scribe, "Is O'Dell ready for a let down? Can she win if she doesn't have that blazing stuff? It's always a risk to fight somebody that's on a slugging roll, but nobody snuffs out young blonde candles better than Bell - it should be good." Neon baby blue bikini Jen, neon lime green with yellow petal pattern Bell ("Heroes" episode of Jag, pics available at most Catherine Bell shrine sites).
During R1: Bell charging to midring against expectations, meets Jenny head on, shoots the jab over O'Dell's right shoulder to block Jen's cross and chops a blunt right hand hard to jaw! O'DELL'S LEGS QUAKE! Jenny pulled forward as Bell pivots, champ riding her left arm loose around blonde neck, bludgeoning away with short rights on the ear, then shoving O'Dell off - JENNY STUMBLES TO HER BUTT! O'Dell sprawled for a second, then scrambling to her feet, chest heaving, eyes foggy - she's screaming "PUSH!" at the ref but the man's giving her 8 at the ropes. Bell tucking her chin, icy eyed - she steps in her jab to ram back Jen's head, driving straight down with a muscular right to those bronzed abs. Bell shoving up and slugging, breaking out the crowbar to beat Jenny in the flanks. O'Dell stiffening up now, punishment seeping in - she's drooping, wilting, sagging into the ropes hands up around her temples. Bell extending her left palm to the shoulder to stabilize, goes midsection with a heartless series of pounding rights and JENNY GOES DOWN! O'Dell sobbing on all fours, mouthing hurt for air as Bell hops away without expression. Final minute mop up - Bell prodding hard jabs as Jenny cowers along the ropes - no bravado in the blonde as she turns desperately to absorb withering wide right hands in her body. Cat favouring Jenny a long hard glare at the bell as if to say "this is my house".
R2: Cat showing a boxing look, jabbing to the chest and forehead, then trying to slide back and catch Jenny counter right hands. O'Dell surprisingly fresh - she's busted up some, but alert, moving her head, keeping her hands up. O'Dell stepping forward cautiously, trying to time her hook against Bell's jab to club those jugs, looking for a shooting right hand straight into the ribs and the hook up top. Jenny more constructive, more active, takes the round, but Bell's got the blonde fighting wary.
R3: Bell calm in the middle of the ring, shooting jabs from a high guard, stepping left, occasionally stepping out and looking her girl over. Once again, O'Dell making the fight, weaving jabs, blocking right hands with a high guard and looking to double off Cat's body for something upstairs. Along the ropes, O'Dell getting good pursuit with chopping overhand delivery from both hands - just a constant hacking attack as Bell slides to the side. Not a lot of sustained contact - O'Dell respecting every Bell feint - Cat not taking advantage, doesn't put anything on Jenny who continues to get her legs back.
R4: Jenny her old fearsome self, barrelling into Cat and backing her up for the first time - Bell up against the ropes, giving away her tummy as Jenny wails away wide. Bashing blows on the flanks have the crowd roaring and then JENNY GOES DOWN! Cat riding out the storm, times a choppy little right off the ropes and catches O'Dell perfectly mid-swing, bunting Jen to her buttocks with a boozy look of disappointment. Jenny up quickly again, but reeling - she takes 8 and doesn't look right as Cat wades on in. Bell jabbing between the mitts, then hooking Jen's flank, hooking her again to bend the blonde's frame - O'Dell's stooping forward hurt. Cat pushing up with her right on Jen's left shoulder, anchoring the blonde for a series of murderous, all-hurt left hooks in the body and side - O'Dell's legs fold her sideways into the ropes, then down to the canvas as Cat backs up, exhaling through pursed lips. Final minute, Cat goes for it, finally pounding away straight rights and left hooks to the head, shredding Jenny's stoic defense AND O'DELL'S DROOPING! Jenny defenceless, head on a bobble, Cat banging away with a muscular rhythm, putting punches right on target and DROPPING JENNY A FOURTH TIME! O'Dell pooling on her side, legs kicking to right herself - somehow she climbs the ropes at the bell! Cat looking to the ceiling in frustration, shaking her head en route to her corner.
R5: Bell patient now, stepping confidently - Jenny's legs are shopworn again after successfully recovering from that devastating first round. Jenny walking on her heels, hands up, she's sluggish, reacting late to the jab on the face, taking it firm on her belly. Jen with a rushed series of lefts and rights at the end of the first minute, just trying to lay into Cat - Bell steps back, places that short right hand square on the jaw, sidesteps to let Jenny careen across the ring in shock. O'Dell hurt, but shaking it off - she comes back with a brawling series of overhand rights, wild lefts to force tactical retreats out of Bell - Cat avoiding serious damage, but once again forced to reassess how much O'Dell has left.
R6: Jenny just willing herself to come forward and pitch leather - Bell giving ground in good order, running blonde onto the stick, turning her at the ropes, slowly sucks the starch out of Jen after the first minute. Second minute - Cat stooping and pumping multiple jabs against Jen's body, then banging it off her mouth and turning into that crashing right on the jaw - shower of sweat and scary head-swivel as O'Dell soaks up another flush blockbuster but keeps her feet. Cat stepping right, goes to work on the jab, banging away on Jen's pretty, dazed face, breaking the blonde down just a bit more. Bell so smart with the left, shooting jabs over Jen's shoulder and roping the blonde into clinches whenever O'Dell looks like she might charge - brunette in control through 6.
R7: BLONDE! staffers ringside cringing - Cat Bell puts a boxing clinic on a hurt, flustered, weary blonde battler this round. Heartless jabs bang away at the body, tits and eyes - Jenny can't get out of the way of the stick and she's coming back woozy from it. Bell stepping right and leaning into blunt right hands on the jaw, crowding to smother the receipt, bodying up and walking Jenny tuff to the ropes, pinning her down. Bell putting hooks on the body off long right hands up top - Jenny suffering through it, but this stuff is gruesome to take all night long. Final minute, Cat finally shakes Jen's legs with one of those punch and grab right hands, holding the blonde close around her elbows as Jenny goes wobbly butt.
R8: Jenny muscles up in the first minute, wading through Cat's jab to hurl overhand rights high to the shoulders and head - Bell forced to step out, circle, but eventually quelling the riot. Steady diet of jabs, right crosses and body-spank hooks from outside as Bell circles, just consistently applying the hurt. Cat lovingly applying punch and clutch - nailing right hands, grabbing her blonde around the elbows and tieing her up for breaks, walking her around. Bell backing Jenny up all night long - O'Dell not the same fighter in reverse.
R9: Jenny still punching - bodying up on Bell and walking her to the ropes, pressing the action early. Cat standing back-to-ropes, chin tucked, blocking and rolling - she's looking for that chopping little counter to take advantage of O'Dell's wideness. Jenny keeping her face close, slathering to the body, then smothering - she's learned a thing or to in this fight. Holding Cat around the waist with an anchoring left - O'Dell able to stuff some tuff, tight right hands to jug, prompting anxious clinches from the champ. Pretty even round till late - Cat gets a subtle little shoulder-bump, backing Jen off a step and HOOKS JENNY'S CHIN while the blonde's resetting. O'Dell hurt AGAIN, staggering backwards, then babystepping forwards and walking into another of those banging short right hands as Cat gobbles her up in a clinch at the bell.
R10: Cat Bell closes the show. O'Dell walking forward, then pounded straight back into her corner by a brace of bashing Bell jabs in the face - Jenny just wide eyed, staring as Cat steps in a jolting right on the chin to drape O'Dell stunned all over again. Cat just unleashing a steady, brutalizing beat down on Jennifer - baseball bat hooks in the side and liver, brawny palming on the shoulders, digging right hands in the sternum, drifting rights across the face. O'Dell out on her feet, but refusing to go down - all she has left is denying Bell the satisfaction of stopping her inside the distance. Cat periodically waving the ref in to do his duty - she's mauling this girl at this point, but the man won't move. Final minute one of the hardest to watch on record as O'Dell is beaten unrecognizable by the unflappable Cat who stays on tits and face with humming power shots to the end. Immediately upon the bell, Catherine cradles Jennifer, holding her up, praising the blonde in an exhausted hush as they huddle in together head to head.
After: Emotional aftermath, girls spend several moments together in mutual respect for one of the gutsiest, most brutal bouts ever to occur in an FCBA ring. Cat Bell executing one of her best, most clinical fights - backing Jenny up, boxing her, hurting her, beating her body, holding her, frustrating her - it's a mesmerizing display of no-frills professional prize fighting excellence. And O'Dell's heart! Hammered to the canvas twice in the first, she somehow goes the distance despite soaking up Bell's hardest blows in almost every round of this fight. After 4, Jenny's legs were gone, only a knockout would have won this thing for her and she never once stopped trying. "I'm in awe of Jenny O'Dell," says a gracious champion, "I thought she'd quit on her stool after the first, I mean, I actually started to relax and then I realized she was going to continue. I think I lost the next two rounds just getting my focus back and realizing this thing wasn't over. You know, we wanted to steal her thunder early, back her up and do some power punching and it was the right call. You're not going to get Jenny's respect by being cute - you've got to take it to her as hard as you can." O'Dell classy enough to acknowledge her conqueress. "Cat was awesome tonight," Jen mumbles through swollen lips, "just awesome. She's just the best there is and she proved it. I know I'm better than I showed tonight, and I'm better than when I first met her, but I have no problem admitting she was the better woman tonight. She kicked every square inch of my ass in that fight and I just have to hand it to her." A lot of girls get on the receiving end of a Cat Bell beat down and whine about it - Jenny's made of sterner stuff. Once again, a TE stopper throws a wrench into the best laid BSE plans. Interesting.

Ch Cat Bell vs Cameron Diaz title bout
Unified Lightweight Title)

(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: "I've got to hurt her," says Cat Bell in prefight. "I've got to land hard punches, ugly things up on the inside, make it a 3:00 AM Hooters-Hostess Parking Lot Brawl. I'd love to box with Cameron, I really would, but I'd come in second more often than not. This is a fight where I have to be prepared mentally to get a girl in trouble and keep there." Diaz responding to well-intended criticism from BLONDE! and other editorials: "People used to say the same thing about Charlize - that she was too strong for me, that I'd never be able to finesse her. All that crap stopped when I beat the living daylights out of her and stretched her out cold. I'm no creampuff. Girls don't just shake off my punches. I'm sick and tired of hearing of how Cat Bell is going to walk right through me - she tries to make this thing a donnybrook and I'm going to slice her up." BLONDE! giving Charlize Theron a press credential - Cat subjected to a stream of "Ms. Bell? Charlize Theron for BlONDE! One last question..." Cat keeping her cool despite the obvious co-ordinated psyche job. Bell in dark tinted leopard print bra and panties, Diaz in BI battle dress (wet black leather sports bra; wet black leather mini-trunks with wet black leather mini-skirt and gold tassle fringe; and wet black leather boxing boots).
During R1: Diaz timing Cat to the millisecond, dips inside the Bell jab, lands a simultaneous loose limbed hook on the jaw, pivots to the left. Again - Cam dipping inside, fitting the hook to Cat's chin, easing to the left - blonde's hands down, loose as she scores and glides. Bell hunching down and spearing the jab - Cam slipping past it, lifting her left square to the tits, pivoting to the left, patting the jab off the face and DROPPING THE RIGHT HAND! Bell cuffed, then stung, legs give a shimmy - Diaz carrying into Cat off the right hand, shoving the champ back, slapping a limber hook across the chops to get brunette backpedalling. Diaz hopping forward, feathering Cat the jab, slicing right hand, looking for walloping wide come-back hooks as Bell hits the ropes in a fog. Tidy flurry to the midsection as Diaz lets her hands go, then drops hands to her side, leans back on her hips to evade a Bell counter hook. Cat lunging forward to clinch - Diaz sidesteps, hand pretty at Cat's back to turn and guide her face first into the adjacent set of ropes. Diaz back in with another slicing combination - wailing lefts and rights scoring harsh against the face, then that supple lean away as Bell droops at the waist. Second minute - Diaz keeping up a limber-limbed lather, stepping with a shellacked Cat Bell, slashing and hacking at her with whippy overhand rights, drilling rights between the eyes, slapping hooks, rising hooks, open-palm hooks, backhand jabs, all while easing in and out of range to avoid the receipts. Bell's face bears the brunt of it - she's hurt, can't get out of the way, Diaz just helping herself. Final minute - Cam breathing hard, backs off, lures Cat to midring - blonde flat footed, weight forward, stepping left and spearing a heartless jab to Cat's eyebrows - Bell just turning, facing into the blows en route to a stunning 10-8 shutout against without the knockdown. Diaz with that million watt smile as the girls pass en route to corners - she's never had a better 3 minutes against Catherine.
R2: Bell answers. Cat doubling up the jab and aiming it to chest, throwing right hands that miss but coming back with ropey left hooks across the ribcage - she's got Cam bailing out and looking leggy early. Diaz keeping her distance, but she's constantly forced to the ropes and bodied up - Bell not getting a lot of leather on Diaz, but she's getting stomach on her, wrestling her into the ropes and changing the complexion of things. Cat gets the ugly she was looking for in a sloppy second.
R3: Shutout Cam Diaz! Diaz hard-eyed as she goes about her business, stepping left around a staccato, spitting jab, keeping this thing in the center of the ring. Cameron able to jump in slicing little rights, carry into Cat, shove her off balance, then get a clawing cat's paw hook across the breasts snik-snik while sliding to the right. Lot's of pretty 2 beat punching - quick left/rights on the face - Diaz bending into the follow through, weaving receipts, sidestepping with a guiding hand on Cat's hip or back.
R4: Shutout Cat Bell. Bell driving her jab to the body and chest, plowing right hands from outside that don't land, but the effect is to stampede Diaz to the ropes. Brawny muscle-up from Bell - getting her head in there, using her shoulders and elbows to jostle and push up on Diaz, then yanking her hands free to plunge to the gut. Good, tough work being done - Diaz bent over, suffering - Cat up tall, bracing blonde on the shoulder with the right hand and reefing gorgeous hooks in under the right side. Bell to bell drubbing handed out, leaves a moist how-could-you look in Cameron's blue eyes.
R5: Drawn round - both girls accurately assessing the other's gameplan, taking steps to nullify it. Diaz doing well when she can get the lead right hand, step to the right while clawing hooks, turning Cat midring. Bell having her moments when she gets Cameron ropeside and covering up - breaking out the baseball bat to long blonde flanks.
R6: Cameron leggy early, pretty on her toes as she swivels left, dabbing out the jab, feinting and turning on sneaky rights. Bell not as quick, but using timing to close the gap - midway through she finally slips under Diaz's right, Cam falls in, has to step back out to get her hook, but Cat's is already on the way. POPPING clap to Diaz jaw, pleasing head-spin - blonde reels back on shaky stems as Bell marches forward. Diaz floundering hurt along the perimeter - Cat hopping left and hooking wide to corral the challenger, then getting muscular as Cam sits into the ropes. Brutal shove and slug - Bell pushing one hand or the other into Diaz' shoulder to anchor, bludgeoning the other side with hamhanded authority - Cameron's face blank as she soaks up a systematic beating to her taut body to the break.
R7: Diaz with a discouraged look, running more than boxing - Cat Bell stalking, hands up, strong, confident strides as she whittles the ring down. Cameron doing a nice job with sexy spin-moves off the ropes - she's not giving up sustained beat down opportunities to Bell, but she's not putting anything on the champ either. Cat the aggressor, bags the points, keeps the pressure on, looks to be imposing her will down the stretch.
R8: Cameron drawing oohs and aahs for her ability to make Cat miss - blonde wheeling away from punches, ducking low and shouldering into Bell, sidestepping and turning - but it's not swaying the judges. Bell doing all the punching - jab still pounding the upperchest of the slender blonde, hard right hands wide to the hip and ribs, the occasional digging hook in behind the elbow. Cat still frustrated at the escapability of her challenger - Diaz flurrying off the ropes, getting herself out of jams with slick little dekes - Bell can't finish what she can't go to work on.
R9: Cameron Diaz makes a stand. Midring, flat footed, she punches with Cat, getting that cute slip-and-hook to tits and mouth inside Cat's jab, getting a chopping right over Cat's left shoulder. Bell consistently beaten to punches as Diaz gambles, uses pure reflexes to pin-ball Bell toe to toe and midway through - Diaz left uppercut inside a Bell hook puts wobble in leopard print trunks. Bell backing out, takes a jamming hook on her chin, then another as Diaz hops in close and gets her shoulder tight behind it. Bell drooping to clinch - Diaz stepping back in good order, working over those world-class jugs with a slashing shoeshine, drawing a breathy moan from the champ. Cat stepping out and trying to regroup - she's pestered to the ropes under a dusting of Diaz jabs, blonde keeping a constant pat-down on Bell, occasionally stinging her with something hard at odd intervals. Bell earmuffing up and riding it out - Diaz able to limber up, stroke her girl's flanks, poke-poke-poke up the middle with loose, rising action, just weaving her torso back and forth for defence as Bell coughs up the shutout.
R10: More of it - Diaz proving a fighter in the championship rounds, determined to stand and take this thing from the champion. Bell jabbing, taking something off the straight right to make contact - eyes intense with concentration as she looks to time her quicker foe. Diaz hands down, leaning in and out front foot to back, licking and slapping the left off her thigh to Cat's bulging bra and swollen face, occasionally chopping in a blinding right hand off the left that's spanking back face. Even trade till late - Bell finally poking the little right hand on the mouth to spoil Diaz' slashing right, then turning over the hook before Cameron's whip-left can uncoil and DIAZ IS HURT! Cat IMMEDIATELY with a shoving right to the sternum, crippling Cameron, stooping her forward - Bell steps right to shuck the clinch and arches her back into a gruesome hook up underneath to the rigid ribcage of her foe. Diaz all locked up, stepping wearily forward, hands on her face - Bell stepping back in good order, hands on Cam's shoulders to measure, pulling her gently forward into ruinous abuse to the body. Bell retreats to ropes, gathers Cam up under the arms and muscles her into the strands, shoves up and goes to work. Bell pouring it on late, shoving and slugging, occasionally going to Cameron's chin with a short, drifting right hand inside, but staying on the body with relentless focus. Diaz washes ashore at the bell, fried expression - Cat Bell beats out a UD10 duke.
After: Bell with a masterful home-stretch yet again, takes the boxer apart, gets enough spots to elbow her way onto the cards - just another complete, professional performance from the lightweight champ. Diaz punished and desolate in her corner, racked with regrets - she had Cat badly hurt in the first. She had the early lead. She outboxed Cat for stretches and even outfought her at times, shoving crow down her critic's throats, but in the end, Cat Bell just a solid, solid champion.

Jeri Ryan vs Cat Bell
Lightweight Unification Title Bout Posted by simguy on 12/6/2003, 9:21 am
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: Jeri's in another superfight - media and promoters taking notice as big blonde makes big events. "It's nice to finally get some recognition," says Jeri in prefight, "but I'm not just showing up for this fight. Cat Bell's the last obstacle for me - I think this division boils down to her and me and I just have to take those belts. We've got a strategy, I've trained my ass off, but it's all about desire at this point. All I know is, I want to see Cat humbled, I want to see the recognition in her eyes that there is a new queen at lightweight and I want her to personally hand over those belts after I beat her. Cat's defeat means more to me than my own victory, and that's my edge against her." Bell courteous as always, but not fawning in her comments. "Jeri's the best out there, the best combination of toughness and power and skill, but mentally, I think I've separated myself from her. I know that if it's close, she'll start to doubt herself, especially in a big event like this. She folded against Landry, she's lost big fights to me before and it's not because I was physically superior, it's because deep down, Jeri doesn't truly believe she belongs in there with me. That's why she's such a devastating KO artist: because she lacks the confidence to be consistent and win the minutes; she actually PUTS herself in a position where she needs the whack." Ryan GLARING across the dais as Cat goes on - either because the rhetoric is so blatantly false...or a little too true for comfort. Time to find out. Jeri in red bikini, Cat in electric blue, hair wet, short.
During R1: Bell strong across the ring, attacking Jeri in her corner, throwing hard right hands over Ryan's jab and JERI'S HURT! Jeri stunned as Cat throws caution to the wind - Ryan staggering to her right, left hand extended - Cat POURING over top it with rights to the jaw and RYAN'S DOWN! Jeri clubbed to her knees, eyes wide, body trembling - she takes a woozy 8 with a hungry Cat stalking the neutral corner. Bell thumbs her nose, walks back in, jabs face, HURLS right hand to gut and sets down inside to work Jeri over. Ryan's legs not back - left hand extended half way around Cat's back - Bell hustling lefts and rights inside and outside Jeri's extended limb to overhaul that gut, those ribs. Groggy Ryan swaying, issuing clumsy clinches - ref's break, frequent warnings to Cat as she's heeling Ryan's ribcage in her haste to break the blonde down. Bell keeps pushing her way in, bodying Ryan against the ropes, separating her hips and pulsing in the punishment downstairs. Bell to bell, Cat - Ryan all a quiver, vibrating with the beating as Bell storms back to her corner, PUMPED!
R2: Cat a non-believer in Ryan's body, goes there every chance she gets this round. Little bit of jab-fencing as the the two jockey for position, but Cat's getting her cheek on Jeri's shoulder, rotating her shoulders and fitting mitt to rib in thumping bursts. Jeri's not meekly accepting her fate - she's digging in, holding her ground, slugging back - both girls soaking it up amidships as ribs and bellies get a shellacking. Girls taking turns, they're punching, laying in, walking each other back, but neither wants to step out - long limbed beauties tightening up the strokes, gnashing their teeth and pumping away at close quarters. Bell the stronger down the stretch, once again has Jeri's back to the ropes, working inside and out that left arm to take in tummy, left flank.
R3: Jeri up on her toes, showing Cat a little lateral movement - role reversal as Bell's the stalker/puncher, Jeri the boxer. Ryan looking good, feinting Cat back, jabbing her while stepping lively. When Cat muscles inside - Jeri accepts her onto her chest and wraps her up tight - allowing Bell to walk her into the ropes for breaks. Ryan on the board with a crafty round of punch n' clutch, giving the ol' mongoose a taste of her own medicine.
R4: Cat doing a better job of cutting off the ring - girls adjusting, counter-adjusting like pros as they negotiate with each other, outfox each other. Bell putting a stiff jab between Jeri's breasts - Ryan doesn't like it, starts raking her hook across Cat's hulking jugs - crowd roars as girls go flat footed, lean towards one another and POUND AWAY TO RACK! Girls keeping it compact, following through with plenty of forearm/elbow on scraping hooks - both know exactly how to hurt the other the most in borderline cheap trade. Down the stretch, Cat backs out behind her jab, luring Jeri forward and lights her up a GORGEOUS right uppercut, walking Ryan's chin onto the clout. Ryan stepping in fence post holes, reaching forlorn to tie up - Cat pushing the arms away and slugging hard to that gut - lashing rights across Ryan's ribs just below the breast line as Jeri tumbles forward. Ryan shook up, hanging on at the bell - Cat's getting to her through 4.
R5: Jeri with a first minute of don't-hurt-me boxing - she's been caught hard tonight, looking a little hinky - Cat doesn't spare the lash. Bell walking her girl down, jabbing her upperchest, steering her to the ropes, then systematically attacking in waves with the ref looking on. Bell throwing that sidearm, clubbing right against the ribs, gets her close, then she's snuggle-punching Jeri to death, resting left cheek on Ryan's left shoulder, hustling punches up into pale breadbasket as Jeri wraps up to slow the beating. Ryan open mouthed, watery-eyed - Cat taking it TO her in relentless fashion: body, body, body after every scorching power shot to the chin.
R6: Cat sticking with the plan - walking Jeri down, taking away blonde jab outside, sliding in, then outworking Ryan in the trenches. Jeri bodied strong to the ropes - she's ashen-faced, tieing up around Cat's head, reaching around her waist, getting ref's breaks. Bell pushing her way back in after the separation, wrestling for position, then digging a satisfying right to the body, fitting the left in, chugging both hands for a moment until Ryan can wrap her up. Cat just applying patient, consistent punishment - bell sounds - brunette forces eye contact, trying to see what's left.
R7: Ryan's had enough - girls body up brawny midring, legs dig in, backsides straining and it's Jeri walking CAT back to the ropes for the first time tonight. Jeri rough with her head, rubbing either Bell jawline, palming the arms back, going to the waistline with robust pumping action. Bell's butt in the ropes - she's getting bullied, worked over and can't back Jeri off. Down the stretch - JUG MUGGING! Ryan drawing a line in the canvas and crossing it, going to Cat's bulging rack with glorious, rising lefts and rights - Bell shocked into momentary stupor as blonde tears it up to the bell. Seething, hurt glares all around - ref takes a hand - Jeri's not collapsing after all. R8: Now CAT wants to box, jabbing, stepping to her left - Ryan trading stick, but following up with humming rights over Cat's left shoulder - brunette forced to backtrack to the ropes once again. Ryan breaking out the baseball bat, taking her turn at Cat's glossy flanks with shivering, straight-arm rights and lefts - concussive blasts have Bell stooping forward, dukes at her temples, taking. Ryan applies a cold-hearted beat down - palming Cat's shoulders, opening her up, digging combos to belly meat, using her left shoulder to stack Cat up. Ryan PANCAKING Cat's kegs, turning into tight punches, smearing 'em side to side. Bell open mouthed, looking shabby - she'll ship a right across her melons, groggily drape her left across Ryan's shoulders as she turns with the punch, then she'll ship a left as Jeri keeps her hands free. Bell to bell, tremendous punishment meted out, Jeri taking a moment at the break to drink in the sight of aching Cat. Bell badly wobbly-butt en route to her corner, blinking back tears.
R9: HAMMER AND TONGS! Cat sees her lead slipping away, sees an opponent who's supposed to be faltering down the stretch actually firming up. They jab just to measure, then it's crosses and hooks, girls throwing hard, extending on punches midring. Ryan dipping in and down with her right, then straightening and pulling the hook into Cat's body - blonde's head movement giving her the edge as she gets the extra connect in any sequence. Raw slugging seems to have Cat weary - she's missing the mark more often, not recovering quick enough to defend herself, getting caught clean, chin and ribs.
R10: HAMMER AND TONGS - THE SEQUEL! Jeri's got Cat fighting the Ryan fight: midring, long right hands, short, crunching hooks, basically toe to toe. Ryan getting tagged, but she's shaking off Cat's right on the chin, nailing brunette back in kind, getting a little leg shimmy from Bell as Cat starts to give ground. Second half the round all Jeri - she's REAMING Cat right hands over the left shoulder, raking body the hook, belting Bell ropeside then HAVING AT HER! Jeri hard-eyed as she palms up and welts Cat's throbbing midsection and flanks - strong lefts and rights roping away - Bell just sitting in the strands and soaking it up to the bell. Jeri still mauling - ref tackles her back - this thing's going to the cards. After a long delay, comes back UD10 for the winner, by a single point...and STILL LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMP: CATHERINE 'CAT' BELL!
After: Cat taking a rare moment to indulge and crush a defeated opponent's spirit: she takes the belts over to Ryan's corner, shaking her head in a sombre 'no' as Ryan seethes - officials intercede before tempers can really flare. Jeri full of defiance in post fight, "look, Cat squeaked by me tonight - that's what TE fighters do and I'll give her credit. But I beat her butt during the so-called Cat Bell rounds - ripped her for 4 straight down the stretch, and if any one was giving in late, it was her. My body stood up to her pounding - she thought she could bully me and I just pushed it back on her. I was the stronger, fresher woman at the end - she's the one who was struggling at the finish line." Bell's been aggressive with dangerous punching blondes all year long - coming out strong, trying to be the boss early - and she did that tonight. "I wanted to dictate to her, shake her confidence and knocking her down early was definitely in the playbook," says the champ. "I went to the body as much as I could and it really drained her - by the time she got her right hand on track, she didn't really have KO snap in her fists anymore and that's 'cause I pounded it out of her. She can say her body held up, but I think the two of us know better - she did NOT like what I was doing to her down there." Ryan unable to land the A right hand until the 8th - Cat taking the blonde's best attribute off the table, dominating the power punch stats - brunette just executing brilliantly to once again turn back a determined, rugged opponent.

Cat Bell vs Catherine Zeta Jones Posted by simguy on 3/15/2003, 6:33 am
(Thanks to FightFan for this repost)
Before: CZJ unrelenting in her harassment of Cat - referring to Bell as "that television personality", not even deigning to call her an actress. Comes to a head during a prefight conference, girls posing for photos on the dais - Jones can't help herself, sucker-slapping Cat a full-bodied right hand across the chops. Instant mayhem - Bell brawling back, misses CZJ and clocks Janet Gretzky instead. Theron charges in from the audience, get tackled by Farrel - PR guys and lawyers making up the respective entourages pair up in a head-on collision of rival clans. Jones emerges unscathed from the far side, smiling malevolently at the ensuing carnage. "Anybody who thought this rivalry was dormant," writes one scribe, dinged up in the melee, "needs to think again." Needless to say, girls don't touch gloves during ring instructions. Electric blue bikini Cat, red bikini CZJ. During R1,2: Jones aggressive, looking to angle in and hook her girl to the body, but Cat's composure dminates both rounds. Bell calm, calculating behind a rigid jab, intercepting Jones, banging her to a halt and stranding her in no-man's land. Bell frugal but effective with choosy right hands: slinging it flat to Jones' onrushing belly or picking her up the uppercut as CZJ comes in. R3: Scuffed up Jones not discouraged, owns the first two minutes. Sliding inside Bell's jab, Cat's hooking the belly with jagged licks, turning it over to rub-a-dub Bell's breasts. All CZJ to the final minute - Bell hanging back, timing the rushes, finally gets it right. Bell fades back, catches Jones' jaw a hook as CZJ tries for the gut and Zeta J's wobbly butt! Jones reaching to clinch and Cat lights her up a gorgeous right uppercut. CZJ swoons, looks like she might collapse, but wilts sideways to the ropes. Brutal follow up from Bell, brawny shove and slug on a helpless foe - Jones pride all that keeps her from going down. Cat steals a Krusher round - CZJ shopworn, falling behind early. R4: Jones gambling to make up the deficit - exactly what Bell was hoping for. Cat cruel and composed, dragging her front foot as she slides back, running Zeta J onto that heartless jab. Jones groggy, face glowing with a glossy patina of pain - Bell starts to spot right hands as her foe breaks down. Cat getting the extended right cross over Jones' left hand, getting the right uppercut. Catherine groggy, busted up, shutout through 4. R5: Jones doubling up her jab, gets Cat leaning back - CZJ hurling a desperate right hand chaser but falling in to Cat's tactical clinches. Bell's jab the decisive punch in this fight - bouncing it off Jones' skull and face, leaving her exposed to accurate, hurtful rights. Cat takes her 5th straight from Jones - CZJ hollow eyed, slightly staggery en route to her stool. R6: Again Jones sucks it up, refuses to despair and has some promising moments. CZJ outjabbing Cat, dipping inside and gouging the hook off Bell's lean midriff. Cat covering up, bending forward - Jones getting off to the flanks, curling up underneath to clout those prize Cat Bell jugs. All falls apart final minute - Jones outworking her girl, steps right, thinks she's out of range and gets CLOCKED a lunging right cross over her left shoulder. CZJ stepping in fence post holes and she is GUTTED a murderous lanky hook across her tummy! CZJ sobbing aloud, buckling midring - Bell looms overtop and lathers away to the break. Jones shabby, swooning - Bell sunny, prancing back to her corner, knowing she's stolen yet another CZJ round. R7: Syren bubbling in the corner: "I don't think she's won a round yet!" Cat agrees - "I know! I'm LOVING this!" More Bell execution, more Jones defiant effort, but Cat's the boss. Cat able to work behind her jab, place her right hand to the body and head - she's got Jones at the right distance. Catherine getting to the ribcage on occasion, but can't sustain anything - outside, she's getting banged up - inside she'll score, but Cat's tieing up or angling away very effectively. R8: Bell takes a round off - Jones breaks up the no-hitter. Catherine double-jabbing her girl to the ropes - gets to Bell's chest and digs in. Cat concentrating, hands up around her girl's ears - she's controlling Jones head, but letting Cat piles up points downstairs. CZJ busy, but methodical, landing both mitts in Bell's waist with leverage, using a brawny left shoulder and elbow to nudge for room. Bell content to jerk in the odd counter-uppercut, but she's outhustled - Jones on the board, knows she needs the KO to win. R9: Bell rejects an early Jones advance with a punishing straight one-two, steps right, jabs and nails Jones another right between the eyes to back her off again. CZJ looking over the defence, circling, then crouching to force her way inside. Bell eats her up with jabs on the way in, forcing Jones to cover up, then she SHOCKS CZJ a pumping right hand to the belly! Jones mincing backward, ashen faced - Cat jabs at her eyes, then leans in to DRILL a splashing right overhand into the solar plexus. Cat groaning on impact, rolls to her back, legs curled in the air and SHE WON'T BEAT THE COUNT! Jones hugging herself, rolling side to side gives it up sweet to Cat Bell via KO9. After: Syren trying to hold her back, but Cat pushes her way past, hauls a shellshocked CZJ off her stool for a heartless walk of shame. Halfway 'round the circuit - right in front of Daniel, Theron, Kim, Ginny - other Krusher notables - Bell shoves Jones chest first to the ropes and starts shouting angry taunts. Krushers standing up, red faced, ready to charge the ring. Quick thinking officials intercede before another bench clearing brawl can erupt, but Bell throws down the gauntlet big time. "It's the only thing the Krushers understand," Bell says of her post fight humiliation of Jones. "You think they're going to stop abusing their opponents because we've asked them too? They needed to see CZJ battered in the ring, then shown up big time for it to sink in. Maybe now they'll think twice about trying that crap." Jones bitter, unforgiving in post fight, "Cat Bell shall pay dearly for what she's done tonight. She may claim she did it to discourage other girls from the practice, but I don't believe it. That was definitely a personal message from her to me, and she will answer for it." Lost in the post fight shenanigans - a near perfect fight from Bell: getting the lead, taking advantage of Jones' increasing desperation, breaking her down and taking her out late after systematic punishment.
