A battle of experience vs youth as former FCBA flyweight champion Hayden Panettiere faces off with future title contender Florence Pugh, both women are looking for a win to get the spotlight on them, what better place to do it then the Las Vegas Raiders Allegiant Stadium.
Before the bout took place both women were interviewed separately on the FCBA Network set by Lucy Liu, the Hall of Famer sitting in a red seat wearing a white dress with a floral pattern on, smiling as she first welcomes onto the set Hayden, who is wearing a red dress and black heels, the two sharing a hug before Hayden sits in her own seat facing Lucy.
Asked about her recent form, Hayden replies "it has been a rough period I'll admit, losing three fights in a row is never fun but I am still high in the rankings, I've been doing this too long to get worried about things like this" shrugging her shoulders to prove her point.
The subject then turns to Florence, Hayden grins as she tells Lucy "she is the new flavour of the month, I remember Dove Cameron being one, Madison Beer is another, it seems like if you can score two wins back to back and be young that you will be a champion, the fact is the media's praise means nothing till you have a title to go along with it, I have proven for more then a decade that I am the real deal in this sport, once I knock out Florence the media will move on to their next flavour and Florence can sit sulking for all I care" definitely not showing any respect to her opponent, Lucy has a rye smile as she nods along, maybe she had the same feelings about Hayden when she was sitting in the blondes position many moons ago.
After Hayden is done, Florence comes on the set wearing a white vest, blue denim jeans and black sneakers, she looks excited to meet Lucy, hugging the host as Lucy smiles while Florence tells her how much of an honour it is to meet her, both sit down with Florence grinning as she sits back in the chair.
She is asked about how she feels about fighting a former champion, Florence nods before she answers "a few butterflies, I have been waiting for a fight of this caliber since I joined the FCBA, Hayden is a legend of celebrity boxing" tapping her toes as if Christmas has come early for her.
Lucy asks if she will be too star struck to beat Hayden, Florence laughs before she replies "oh trust me I won't be a giddy fan girl in the ring, once that bell rings I will be all over her, after I win I might ask for an autograph though" winking as Lucy laughs, telling Florence good luck for the fight.
Fighting time, first through the curtain comes Hayden, she has her coach Virginia Madsen following her down the aisle as her supporters chant "let's go Hayden!" To show their love, Hayden steps into the ring wearing an emerald green sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, gold coloured gloves as her hair is tied into a ponytail, giving the crowd a quick wave and a nod, Hayden shadow boxes as she goes through her warm up routine.
Now here comes Florence with her coach Gillian Anderson, her fans chant her name as clearly she has her large fan base too, her attire tonight consists of a white sports bra with black trim, matching trunks and shoes, white gloves, her hair is tied into a braid as she steps into the ring, she bounces on her toes as she looks at the crowd with her arms in the air, taking in the amazing atmosphere, she fist bumps Gillian as she is told to show the world why she is a future champion tonight.
Both fighters come to the center of the ring, Hayden grinning at Florence as she sees the hard stare coming from the younger woman, the veteran asking "sure you can handle the pressure?" Playing mind games, Florence doesn't reply, instead giving Hayden's gloves a hard tap when they bump fists, back to their corners they go as the crowd has a duelling chant going, once everything is ready the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1:
At the bell both women jog out their corners, throwing single punches to get the range, Hayden dips under a jab to bang in a right to the body of Florence, followed by a left hook into her opponent's ribs, Florence dancing back with a jab into the top of the smaller fighters head as she looks to create space.
As they box around the ring, Hayden is finding gaps in the guard of Florence, creating openings with her footwork as she works the body and over the top to the face of Florence, who while the Marvel star is driving in some nice crisp punches in the face of Hayden, she is being outworked by the former champion, Florence looking a little tense.
Pushing back Hayden as she gets two hooks to the body, Florence starts to open up more, maybe realising she can't let Hayden keep getting inside so easily, whacking in some crisp left crosses along with straight punches, looking better in the final minute as they work around the ring, the bell rings with Hayden tapping her gloves together with a smile, Florence getting her arms massaged as Gillian tells her to take a breath, she does so to release some tension.
Round 2:
Florence is more mobile then she was the first, stabbing in her punches around the top of Hayden's head, Hayden is still landing several good body shots, Florence though is starting to landing the better shots as she keeps Panettiere on the outside.
Giving the veteran more of a headache, the Pugh fans are cheering her on as she starts to open up more, landing two punch combos square into the face of Panettiere, past the halfway stage Hayden times her attack better, deflecting a jab to step in with a short left cross on the cheek of Florence, with two short body shots coming in.
Hayden tries to push Florence back to the ropes, things getting more scruffy as Florence pulls Hayden into a front headlock, they are broken up and Hayden looks annoyed as her cheeks are being peppered again by the punches of her younger foe, when the bell rings Hayden isn't looking as cocky now, jogging back to her corner scowling at Florence.
Round 3:
Back out they come with Florence again starting off landing the crisper punches, dancing on her toes as Gillian bangs the ring apron in support of her fighter, Hayden calling on her experience, using more feints with head movement, then catching Florence with an overhand right on the chin, a left hook rocks back Pugh as she stumbles back.
Suddenly Florence is looking worried, not as aggressive as Hayden now comes at her, with several hooks to the body of the younger fighter, getting held on by Florence, referee splits them apart with Hayden looking like a terrier, not letting her foe breath as she stays on the inside.
Needing to push off Hayden, Florence trying to box off the back foot, again Hayden slips her way to the inside, landing another left hook to the chin of Florence, forcing her to cover up as Hayden has her pinned into her corner, Gillian yelling at Florence to hold onto Hayden, the bell rings to end a disaster of a round for Pugh, she sits on her stood with a little pink hue around her sides, Gillian needing to try to help her mentally with a rallying speech, Hayden meanwhile stays standing as she stares at Florence like she is her prey.
Round 4:
Hayden straight across at Florence, looking to keep the pressure on her after such a dominate last round, Florence looks a little more assured as she is landing several crisp punches into the face of Hayden, with several cross punches catching Florence over the top, both women opening up on each other as they box around the center.
A straight pushes back Florence as she is smacked on the lips, a left cross catches Florence as it looks like Hayden has her opening, driving back the Marvel star to the ropes, Florence smothers her in another clinch, both grappling as Florence tries to turn them around, legs nearly getting tangled as the referee splits them up.
After a strong second minute for Hayden, she gets caught with a counter right across her face after she misses with a jab to the body, a left hook slams into her jaw as Florence has her now on the retreat, Florence laying in more combos straight through the mitts of her opponent, making Panettiere now have the ropes struck behind her, with Florence forcing the issue till the bell rings, a hard fought round ends with Hayden looking at Florence with a hard glare, Florence taking a breath as she sits down, Gillian telling her fighter that she can turn this around.
Round 5:
Trading stiff single punches, Florence is dancing side to side, she sidesteps Hayden as the veteran tries to step in, a right hook lands on the temple of Hayden, that buckles the legs of the former champion, A LEFT HOOK THEN LANDS FLUSH ON THE JAW OF HAYDEN, SHE STUMBLES OVER ONTO HER LEFT SIDE!
Florence with the turnaround as she yells "yes!" As her fans scream in joy, getting to the neutral corner, Florence bounces on her toes watching the count, 1...2...3...4.. Hayden groans as she turns to her front, 5....6... Getting to all fours, 7...8.. She grabs the middle rope in front of her, 9.. Just about beating the count, raising her gloves as the referee checks her over.
Hayden is allowed to continue but it isn't long till she is in trouble again, punches drilling through her mitts right into her face, a right hook sends Hayden into a neutral corner, more punches pound into the face of Panettiere as she is not throwing anything back, IN COMES THE TOWEL FROM THE FOXFIRE CORNER, REFEREE SEES IT AND STEPS IN TO STOP THE FIGHT AS HAYDEN LOOKS OUT ON HER FEET!

The biggest victory so far of Florence's career, she jumps up and down with a big beaming smile, jogging to her corner to hug Gillian as she can be heard saying "oh my God!" Repeatedly, Gillian telling her "I told you that you could beat her" looking proud of her protégé for coming back from being under pressure from the former champion.
Who needs helped by Virginia back over to her stool, Hayden is blinking as she looks buzzed, Virginia needing to work on pulling her around, the ringside doctor checking on the beaten fighter, who after a few moments seems OK, nodding to the referee that she will be alright.
Over comes Florence as she shows her class, checking on Hayden as they have a quick chat, Hayden doesn't look too keen to speak, telling Florence she will be OK, then she turns to look at Virginia, Florence looks a little surprised by the lack of respect but shrugs her shoulders as she returns to her corner, maybe assuming that Hayden is just simply in a bad mood.
Out the ring with help steps Hayden, that's another defeat this year for her, she carries her gloves in her right hand with a pissed off look, that should put some fear in her future opponent's as it shows the fire is well and truly is burning bright inside her, don't write her off righting this situation.
In the ring Florence gets her right hand raised, beaming as she waves to her supporters with her left hand, posing with her arms flexed for the cameras as she stares at it with an ice cold expression, then winking as her playful nature shows through, Gillian can only chuckle and shake her head at the sight.
The LMW crew step out the ring together, smiling as they head to the back, Florence is starting to show that talent is the real deal people said she had, if she keeps this run up she might find herself in the title discussion by the end of the year, tonight she showed the toughness physically and mentally of a champion.
