Interesting match to open tonight’s continuation of the VIXENs’ international tour, this time broadcasting live from the heart of Dublin, Ireland. Alyssa Lynch battles Georgia May Jagger on her opponent’s home turf, with Jagger of course getting a standing ovation when she struts in to her legendary father’s own Honky Tonk Women.

While Jagger is making her FCBA debut tonight, the British blonde has already won a couple and lost a couple of bouts over in the BBU. But maybe she will have more luck against an American on Irish soil?

“I can’t wait to get in there and face off against Alyssa. She’s had more experience than me, but one thing I’ve learned: never underestimate a home crowd advantage,” Georgia smiles for the cameras.

“I don’t think she stands a chance, frankly,” Alyssa nonchalantly says in her response, grinning slyly as she speaks to reporters backstage. “I’m more than happy to be on this international tour to show the entire world what we Vixens are capable of.”

In the historical National arena in downtown Dublin, Alyssa and Georgia are in the ring and ready to go for ten rounds of Bantamweight action. Lynch is wearing an off-pink sports bra and long tights, brandishing white gloves for this contest. Jagger has gone for a more sensual black bra and briefs set-up, her lips still smeared with red-hot lipstick as she waves red gloves to the crowds.

There’s the wave of the hand and HERE WE GO!

ROUND 1:
Alyssa gets a little cocky to start, a little like the time she fought Samara Weaving: she charges in at the older blonde as soon as the bell rings, thinking she’s got the goods to dominate. But Jagger’s guard is up and firm, and the Brit’s lean frame means she’s as agile as the Vixen. Jagger takes the first strikes to the forearms before giving Alyssa a scare in turn with a sudden swipe towards her face from outta nowhere. Alyssa doesn’t get the memo, however, keeps up the pressure with combo after combo slapping into the arms, not letting up even when the blonde begins to predict the brunette’s rhythm: Jagger times a counter-shot clean to the nose, another left-right number grazing Lynch’s lips, and by the time the first round ends, it’s bad news for Alyssa as she registers some stinging pain in parts of her face. She might have taken this first round wide, but she has a feisty opponent on her hands indeed!

ROUND 2:
Georgia’s early calm and focused demeanour are her best strengths, so far dealing with Lynch like an impatient schoolgirl who deserves a smack across the face. She stays clear of Lynch in the first half, sticking to her counter-attacking strategy, therefore landing punches far more often to the lips and chin, and even mixing in a hook to the side of the body to draw a grunt. Lynch’s punches are landing, meanwhile, but she doesn’t like the fact she’s taking more return firepower than the last round. Georgia switches stance mid-round, giving the Vixen a taste of her own medicine when she BASHES a cross into her face, drawing a low gurgle from busted lips. Jagger rushes in after her target, more jabs chasing Lynch to the bell, to scrape a comeback close round for corner.

ROUND 3:
Georgia dominates the action in the third, flying in with speed to do some damage: she’s throwing fast combos to Alyssa’s guard to show her who’s boss, landing a right hand clean to the Vixen’s nostrils before another hook catches Lynch on the side of her body. Lynch gritting her teeth, growling with vengeance that never comes - she desperately swings back at Jagger’s head but Jagger just ain’t bothered as she slips left and right and around those slower hooks. Jagger lands another grazing shot to the chin, sending Alyssa grunting backwards in the third minute. More damage done to her pride as the Brit fighter earns a hearty cheer from the home crowd, driving forward in terms of points now.

ROUND 4:
Jagger is still moving forth full of confidence, and we haven’t seen this much potential in a rookie since Nell Tiger Free first burst onto the fight scene. She’s busy in the first minute packing punches into Alyssa’s body, taking her time as she wears the brunette down further, priming her for a knockout blow. But Lynch opts to stay far away this time, making it difficult to score another upset with her footwork working in overdrive. Result is Jagger’s punches rarely land too hard on her frame, and towards the last minute, it’s the Vixen’s jabs which are doing much more damage, catching the blonde clean on the lips and nose, and stopping Georgia’s advance at the sound of the bell. Close round goes back to Alyssa as she plants her foot in the sand and keeps it there.

ROUND 5:
Close first minute as Jagger initiates a charge out of the blue, hoping to corner Alyssa with more shock and awe. Alyssa’s partially surprised, fending off some wild punches and covering her body and head up, but gets battered to the side from a hook or two to the head, her tummy then taking another thump as Georgia reaches south for payback. But Lynch’s counterattack catches the singer by surprise: a swift hook lands flush to the cheek before another left hand is shoved hard into the chin. Dazed, Georgia takes a couple steps back before trying to resume her attack. But Alyssa’s NOT done! Not yet! Surly brunette rushes in with a double-pump shotgun to Jagger’s face, and then UP into the chin, and just like that… DOWN JAGGER GOES!! That rapid combination forces her to see stars as Georgia COLLAPSES onto her back! Referee is by the Brit’s side in an instant, performing the 10-count, but Jagger folds over and simply stares up at the stadium lights, barely even moving! He reaches the end of the ten-count and declares this fight OVER!

Official Decision: Alyssa Lynch defeats Georgia May Jagger via KO5!

AFTER:
Congratulations are in order to Ms Lynch, who is slowly clawing her way back into the winning column after yet another failing to clinch the Bantamweight straps from Elizbaeth Olsen.

“One day, that title will be wrapped around my waist. All I need to do is keep fighting and beating girls like Jagger,” Alyssa says proudly in the post-fight interview, confidently raising a hand high as she exits the building.
