Kate's first crack at the Ice Hotel, and she came VERY close to taking her first title as a 19 year old. (Seriously, Sim messed up his math and awarded her a 1-point decision, and had to send me the 11th round later that night)

No middle ground when JKO and O&E collide. Matchups evenly divided between epic Fight-of-Year nominees and one-sided blowouts. The Ice Hotel was a jewel in the JKO crown for 4 years until Adriana snatched it away with a last minute KO of Kelly Brook.
Kate’s reward for a stellar 2012 is the chance to reclaim this prestige post. "Not only has she only taken the title thanks to some very questionable officiating, but she doesn't even know what to do with the title while she has it. Seriously, what kind of an Ice Hotel Queen wears grey? Everybody knows the Queen wears white. Fortunately, that lets us all see who the real Queen is!" punctuating this last with a twirl, doffing her cape to reveal what looks suspiciously like Kelly Brook’s trademark white fur bikini. Is this a symbolic passing of the torch at JKO?
Adriana Lima basking in the glory of her history making second reign as Queen of the Ice Hotel. The Brazilian erupted out of the “just another model” flock last year, losing the “creampuff” stigma in a mix of grueling endurance battles and spectacular knockouts on beaches and arenas the world over. "I've seen what this girl can do. She has no surprises either for me, or for those watching. She was knocked out when we first fought, she will be again." Adriana coming in bigger than in previous fights. Ice Hotel bouts are explicitly catchweight, but nobody is surprised when both fighters turned out to be in the welter range. Adriana’s trademark grey chinchilla bikini straining to contain the extra slugging mass, is this the source of her confidence, or a sign of misgivings?

Upton’s able to avoid getting caught up in the ropes, doing more pushing than punching in the final minute to keep from getting trapped along the strands as Adriana tries to put the cherry on top of a dominant round.
R3: Adriana once again overcoming size differential with sheer ferocity, squaring up, coming out to assert will behind a heavy snapping jab. Kate turning, hands at her chest, staring, getting her face spanked back almost at will by a smirking Adriana. Lima fresh with the punch, spotting it around Upton's torso and tummy, feinting the right hand to get her blonde flinching, then stepping in strong with the left hook. Kate’s backing up, trying to remember how to fight off the back foot as she undergoes her first back-to-back drubbing in over a year.
R4: Kate’s no longer retreating, coming at Adriana with right/lefts in rapid, regular bursts. Lima grimaces as the occasional left hand punch lands clean against her ribs, but most of the challenger’s shots bash against the Queen’s forearms and shoulders. Adriana backpedals from bell to bell, content to try and walk Kate into harm, willing to stand and trade when she sees the opportunity. Both fighters put a stutter in each other’s steps as heavy hooks find homes in each other’s ribs, but Upton keeps coming forward as she finally begins to match Lima‘s volume.
R5: Sharp clocking rights on the jaw, ripping hooks to the ribs have Kate floundering early, she reaches for Adriana, Lima does a pretty little sidestep and sends Upton spilling forward into the ropes. The Queen pounces, digging her way into Kate's body with chugging rights and lefts, stooping her blonde forward. Adriana savoring the moment, relentless body work as poor Kate leans forward and takes it. Kate bends right to haul a desperation left onto Adriana’s ear, bends left into a swinging right and LIMA'S SWEPT TO HER BACKSIDE AT THE ROPES! Lariat punchs from Upton landed flush, sees the Queen coming up for a shaky 8. Rejuvenated Kate comes bounding out of the neutral corner, splashing Adriana into the ropes, then plugging away righty as she grinds her left shoulder into the Brazilian’s breasts until the bell.
R6: Adriana’s showing veteran craft and guile in negotiating Kate's power. Pokey jab from high guard chipping away at Upton's cheeks, startling her a little, brunette's able to duck in close, come up chugging and beat her blonde’s breasts right-left-right. Kate retreating early, having trouble finding punching-stance, Lima's volume pressure once again disorganizing her blonde.
R7: Adriana digs in to accept yet another bull rush from Kate. Upton driving in with her head and shoulders, pressing Lima into the ropes, romping amidships with glorious, digging lefts and rights, thrusting into Adriana, fighting through the clinches. Blonde just plowing full steam ahead with reckless ferocity. Adriana on her heels, trying to find an opening, Kate trading with and catches a disastrous whipsawing left hook on her chin as the Queen puts everything into an all-or-nothing punch and UPTON TAKES A KNEE! Kate scrambles up quickly, squares off with Adriana coming out of the corner. Round ends with each fighter taking turns swiveling her hips and hauling leather into meat with great thumping authority to the flanks. Could be a critical round for both fighters in a close fight, as Lima steals an Upton round, but only 10-9.
R8: Endurance starting to become a factor in high energy struggle, Kate’s never been this far before. Patient stalking, girls stepping-to behind heavy jabs, then punishing each other in turns, neither taking any big risks. Upton slowly punched to the perimeter, Lima with initiative, pummeling at her blonde’s prepared defences. Adriana’s jabbing Kate's left breast & shoulder as the challenger slides to her right, keeping up the pressure, releasing shorter, clubbing rights and lefts when she sees an opening. Upton bludgeoned about her head and shoulders, answering back only occasional, chopping shots off the ropes. Thudding war of attrition continues as Lima pulls slightly ahead going into the championship rounds.
R9: Kate stops the bleeding, forcing Adriana backwards in long-bodied push-and-punch. Upton working Lima along ropes, blonde pushing the Queen's guard sideways, then belting away sloppy, falling in after heartfelt slugging, then pushing/wrestling for position again. R10: Kate more persistent, sweatier, getting on Adriana but working hard enough that the ref isn't quick to break. Upton nuzzling Lima's neck & cheek, pushing on biceps, then wedging in mitts on meat. Adriana is hard-pressed, riding an arm around Kate’s head or reaching under her arms, trying to muscle her around to reverse positions at the ropes. Blonde just gnawing on her foe, rubbing her, smearing her, good thick body work being done in the pocket when she frees up both mitts, strong shoulder-bump exposing her to short inside rights, clubbing lefts. Adriana exploiting a good short right uppercut as challenger opens up to slug, but Kate shrugging it off, she won't be backed off. Good beefy finale goes Upton's way, close fight goes to the cards. AND IT’S A DRAW! Adriana’s counter-punching in the first, Kate’s early dominance in the 7th both looming large, as Ice Hotel rules do not allow for draws. Steam visibly rising from both corners as both fighters prepare for their first experience of overtime.
R11: Kate forcing Adriana into another midring scrum, pushing in, working tummy, spreading their legs as they concentrate on forcing the other woman back to ropes. All even for a couple of minutes but a thick left - right to Lima's paunch bunches her up in gutshock. Upton hooks tits, pushing forward as the Queen's backing out, then hooks Adriana's chin. Lima hits ropes in a fog, forms weary earmuff, sitting in ropes as Upton steps-to. Kate dragging that right hook in behind Adriana’s elbow as Lima droops. Upton stepping back, left hand measuring Adriana as she sets up for the coup de grace, AND KATE’S DOWN! That full-body whipsawing Lima left hook finds an opening and swivels Upton’s head, sending her sprawling onto all fours. Kate climbs the ropes to beat the count, bares her teeth as she hurls herself at a snarling Adriana coming out of the neutral corner. Fighters wrap around each other; hissing in each other’s ears as they wind up cheek-to-cheek; furry mitts slapping ineffectually at lats, deltoids, and glutes; trying to body each other back but unable to mount an effective offense before the bell as Lima steals an Upton round. AND THE FIGHT! Two out of three judges score the round 10-8 for the winner by split decision and STILL Queen of the Ice Hotel, Adriana Lima!
After: JKO corner erupts in protests, as Adriana’s back is turned acknowledging the ovation, Kate slips through the ropes and stalks out of the ballroom, her glare parting the onlookers like a tuxedoed Red Sea. Turning around to see her prey escaping, the Queen dashes after her, leaving both the Body Saddle and the broadcast crew in her wake. Both fur-clad beauties exit the ballroom, and the crush of followers at the door leaves them out of sight and hearing for a few critical moments.
The camera crew makes it into the lobby first, but the boom-mike is still fighting its way through the press. All it can do is drink in the sight of the rivals arguing animatedly. Both bodies are beaten pink with punishment, and the bikinis that were snug beforehand are now soaked with eleven hard-working rounds of perspiration and have molded themselves to the ravishing forms beneath them, leaving little to the imagination.
The content of their heated argument is forever lost to history as the mic finally gets in range just in time to catch all of the resounding slap delivered by Kate Upton’s still-taped hand. Adriana brings her hand to her cheek, before charging forward, lacing her fingers into Upton’s sweaty blonde locks, with a keening “Meretriz!” Locked together, they spin into the revolving door.
The frosted glass portals disgorge the battlers into the courtyard, scrabbling for control. Nearing the snow bank, Adriana tries to sweep Kate’s legs from under her; but being neither in shock like Kelly Brook nor thoroughly cowed like Blake Lively, she anticipates the takedown. She tries a hip-toss of her own, but the two are entangled too tightly to avoid tumbling together into the powdery drift. Leggy beauties thrash wildly, trading the dominant position as their hands vainly seek purchase on flesh, fur, hair or snow. Things finally resolve with Upton on top with her hands laced behind Lima‘s head, trying to pull the Queen’s face into her breast smother.
