BEFORE: Both these veterans have fallen on hard times lately but nobody can deny them a competitive edge when presented a golden opportunity to win another of these boxing bouts! Yvonne Strahovski has nothing to prove anymore, her Hall of Fame spot written in stone and she's more than satisfied with watching the progress of Wallis Day, her designated Lookout! Boxing successor.

Things are a little more complicated for Odette Yustman who turns 37 years old next month but she's unwilling to admit the best days are behind her despite the mounting evidence to indicate otherwise! She actually lost to the previously mentioned Wallis Day last year already and the marketing spin from the Lioness entourage claims Yvonne is the inferior fighter to the designated apprentice. Yvonne arrives in Vegas with a "too cool to bother" demeanour which she could yet learn to regret if Odette shows up in vintage form on her stable's anniversary.

Odette Yustman wears a white bikini set & black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Yvonne Strahovski wears a red bikini set & golden gloves. Long blonde hair wrapped in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Yvonne gets off to a better start but her steady jabbing assault becomes too predictable very quickly and Odette is able to spin away from close range forcing the blonde to chase her down around the area. There's not enough burst in the blonde's charge and she falls into a classic counter-punching trap which allows Odette to smack easy response up the middle. She glues Strahovski to the spot in the center of the ring and seems almost bemused by the lack of genuine defense as she keeps piling all the leather and then some. Yvonne bends into spasms and has to clinch the younger opponent before both women fall into a lenghty stalemate on the ropes; Odette probably takes the round close.

Round 2:
Another quick start from Yvonne but she's able to land her punches much better this time and prevents Odette from finding a genuine response. The pounce is on but Yustman realizes she's getting outboxed outright and tries to squeeze in a rare slugging series only for Strahovski to whack her over the top and profit from a solid head-hunting attack. Ugh! Odette's bendy defense has lost its juice in the last several months and she's unable to escape the blonde's heat whatsoever. Yvonne pushes on with the head-hunting blast and signs off a dominant performance with a ruthless left/right combo that sinks Yustman on jelly knees at the bell.

Round 3:
More of the same in the third, Yvonne beats Odette to the opening punch and finds enough success thumping the brunette upstairs she forces her into a mid-range freezer. The Vegas audience hopes to see more aggression from the Lioness fighter but she's getting gradually outworked in this round again and loses her poise when the Aussie woman cuts her up below the left eye. Odette stalls the action from the second minute and tries to trip the blonde onto the canvas but still gets whacked to the body as Yvonne refuses to let her opponent off the hook. She piles a gut-checking series into Odette's exposed stomach and leaves her yelping in pain at the bell.

Round 4:
Odette shows more effort as she tries to match the blonde's intensity which leads into a back & forth tangle in the fourth. Yvonne is happy to stick the head shots on target but gets blasted from the inside as the brunette finds success in close range again. They trade crowd-pleasing jabs and stay in the slugging lane until Strahovski takes one punch on the brow ridge too many and wobbles to her heels. Odette drives in a right hand on the chest and pummels the unstable Aussie onto the ropes where she adds more body shots to drop the older actress behind a rare earmuff. Yvonne abandons the recovery plan and allows Yustman to bash her for bonus value that raises a few eyebrows in the Lookout corner.

Round 5:
Yustman tries to run up the jabbing score early in the fifth but Yvonne isn't exactly hurting here and finds a right-on-right stinger to blast the American on the nose. Odette stays in the exchange and gets vocal as she follows through with several jabs but it's Strahovski who finds the better power supply and smacks a combo on the chin before looping another big shot on the left ear. Odette stumbles to the side and has to soak up another jabbing rally as Yvonne bumps her onto the ropes. A wild hook on the nose makes the brunette gurgle in pain and she fails to react when the Hall of Famer drills her on the solar plexus with her most powerful shot of the night! Ugh! Odette spits out the gumshield and DROPS TO HER KNEES amid some angry cries from the Lioness corner. Uh-oh!! She stays down on all fours during the count and just can't find her breath back. One last effort to rise but to no avail... Odette stays down on one knee when the ref yells "TEN" into her face. KO5 Yvonne Strahovski!!!

AFTER: Yvonne struts back to her corner and tells Elisha Cuthbert she's ready for the LCA after-party: "I hope they serve a good Polish vodka and man oh man, Odette is getting stoned big time!" She then approaches the vanquished brunette and offers her a quick hug: "No hard feelings, hun! You might still win one of these fights soon!". Odette barks in anger and hopes she can finish her career with the LCA stable because the last few months have been ugly results-wise. She's one of the LCA founding members but not immune to fair criticism. Yeah, it's time to drink some vodka any which way!
