The posting of the comment was delayed pending results of the fights that did not go on the PPV as planned
The bantams dominated this PPV due to the number of Princess of The Ice Hotel tournament fights;
There were four welterweight fights plus one top welter beating and old blonde lightweight. To no one’s surprise, Amanda Righetti successfully defend her title. She had to drop down and fight a member of the cannon fodder group, but she little choice. She can’t just fight the other top seven. We said last month it was too early to say Iskra Lawrence to join the top ten. Now we have to see how she does going forward. Unfortunately another former top ten welter continued on her fall to obscurity as Jennifer Lawrence lost her sixth straight and nine of her last ten. Kate Upton, despite her loss to Boccia in the JMDD title fight, could be Amanda’s next title challenge. Kate is the last fighter to beat Amanda and they haven’t fought since December 2020 when Upton won by a KO10.
In the lightweights, Mary Elizabeth Winstead defended her title against a tough Emily DiDonato. Two of the usual suspects won big fights with Kendall Jenner beating Katy Perry and Taylor Swift beating Huntington-Whiteley to gain entrance into the Hall Of Fame. Winstead, however has fought both in the last six month’s. Alexis Ren would be a good choice. She has won seven of her last ten with all three losses being to Taylor Swift. Winstead has fought Ren twice winning both. The last bout was two years ago. Kylie Jenner is long shot choice. She has won four of her last five including a win over her sister. The loss was to Kate Upton. Two up and coming lightweights that need watching are Valentina Fradegrada and Sandra Kubicka, but both need to step up the competition. Regarding Taylor Swift, she will be inducted into the Hall Of Fame on Friday.
Elizabeth Olsen was one of the busy bantams. She bet Di Patrice in the first round of the Princess Of The Ice Hotel tournament and then lost to her arch-enemy, Kira Kosarin in the second round. She then successfully defended her bantam title against Alyssa Lynch. In winning the Ice Hotel title, Priyanka Chopra emerged the top candidate for a title fight. She as won her last six with Taylor-Joy, Kosarin and Larson being among her wins. The two fought in January 2021 with Olsen winning.
Vanessa Hudgens success fully defend her title The flyweight activity was unusually light. Ariel Winter and Cove Cameron had big victories and would be worthy of a title fight. I wouldn’t put it past Hudgens to demand a Winter/Cameron fight, the winner getting the title shot
