Wallis Day versus Anna Tatangelo

AFTER: Another surprising upset but a big win for Wallis Day as she manages to catch Anna off guard with a big shot to give her team the lead in the stable war. Wallis going to help Anna up to her feet and for a moment, it looks like the two of them might share a hug. But, then at the last moment, Wallis spins her foe around for a Walk of Shame! Leading her around the ring with a smile across her face, one arm wrapped tightly around her foe’s waist. The other tugging at her hair so she can plant a kiss across her cheek, waving to the crowd at times or flexing a bicep as Wallis clearly relishes the moment with a win over a new rival!

R1: Girls adopting wide stances, setting and punching hard at the open. Elbows in, girls dipping side to side to pull snappy wallop onto each other - good spanking two way fare through the first minute. Midway through, girls punching, ducking, blocking in methodical rhythm - Wallis times an exquisite hook, beating Anna's left to punches, buckling Anna's knees. Tatangelo breathing through pursed lips, collects herself and steps forward dukes at temples but is hesitant to get off: Day helping herself to tanned Tatangelo waistline with snap-snapping rights and lefts - mitts digging tacky into taut flesh.
R2: Similar stuff, neither girl afraid to set her feet wide, twist and pull hard leather onto opposing head and shoulders. Day matched punch for punch from this posture - but Anna separates herself with superior footwork - occasionally stepping around her jab or fading back to change distance on Day. Good hardworking round: Tantagelo’s ring generalship the difference.
R3: Day spearing Tatangelo with hard, first-minute jabs - pre-emptive poke busting past Anna's guard, knocking her head back and leaving her a half-step behind. Day mixing in her body attack - second minute sees her shellack the Tatangelo ribcage and waistline with those strapping, licking rights and lefts, really cramping Tatangelo up. Terrific work leaves Tatangelo paralyzed: she's moping midring, leaning forward behind her mitts, unable to answer as Day systematically reduces the flanks, and looks for short fish-hook left uppercuts to the bell.
R4: Day jabbing up top to stabilize, then dipping in strap thick right/lefts against the Tatangelo paunch: blonde lips parting as she soaks up tummy work, steps out to regroup. Day more obviously assertive this round, walking Anna down, banging her body - Wallis imposing her will through 2 minutes. Down the stretch, Tatangelo grimacing, dug in dukes at temples on ropes: she invites Day in and catches her being too extravagant downstairs with a nipping little counter-hook on the temple. Tatangelo chin tucked, dukes up, strides in, dips down and pulls a clanging right over top onto Day's jaw - Day stunned, earmuffed up as she sags hurt to ropes. Tatangelo RELEASES THE HOUNDS! Blonde tears it up, swinging away from her hips, elbows in as she thrashes lefts and rights up top - poor Wallis Day wilting forward to relieve the pressure. Wallis dazed at the bell, eyes moist, legs shaky - hot glares from Tatangelo as she surveys the hurt.
R5: Comprehensive work being down by Wallis Day - really showing her boxing pride this round. First minute jabs set the tone, bring Tatangelo to heel: she's earmuffed up, crouching forward midring, very tentative. Hard body licks - right/lefts strapped thick across paunch cramp Wallis up, loosen her guard. Tucking, rangy hooks dig PIK! PAK! in behind Anna’s right elbow as Day reaches in off her front foot, then eases back to get jagged left and right uppercuts. Both girls grumpy, worked over - the two of them starting to to creep forward and fall into each other’s arms when fatigued.
R6: Anna gets to Day’s nose with those harsh, uncompromising jabs early, then starts stamping poke to tanned Wallis breadbasket while pivoting to the side. Wallis sullen, busting up, getting outclassed - she's creeping forward, but not releasing. Anna uptempo, but well within herself - she's just painting Day up and down, stroking her numb, turning her midring, walking her into punishment. Bell: Anna flashes a rare smile en route to her corner; Wallis slumps in her corner and looks to recover.
R7: Tatangelo jabs with Day early, unsettling her foe- both girls looking for hard right hands and it's Tatangelo connecting, Day sailing wide over top. Day's knees buckle, eyes water: she's hurt - stepping away to her right with anxious expression as Tatangelo hops in. Tatangelo treats herself to the Day midsection, bending down to strap thick right/lefts on pale tummy meat: Day grimacing, baring her teeth as HER tummy gets put to the test now. Tatangelo coming off the body with short-arm uppercuts - standing up in the stirrups to scrape and brush at Day's guard and face - Day hooks-with, catches 100% Tatangelo chin and ANNA'S HURT! Tatangelo wobbling to her left, eyes forlorn, palms out - Day steps and fetches Anna a lunging straight right sloped to the body, spanking Anna breathless to ropes. Day hops in, sets up off Tatangelo's right shoulder and looks to clip her short right uppercuts - jagged little punches picking Anna up in the breast, right shoulder, face as she tilts forward. Tatangelo's legs shimmy, but she rallies, punching-with and catching Day a tidy little right/left on the mouth to back Day up and HERE COMES Tatangelo! Walking barrage has Day in full retreat - she's backpedalling wildly, then stopping, crouching and RIPPING the right uppercut to catch Tatangelo coming in. DOWN GOES Tatangelo! Anna reckless, rushing in - she crumples to canvas as if shot, reclining prettily to her back with eyes shut, lips pouting in KO'd shock. KO7 Wallis Day.
