Nell Tiger Free vs Debby Ryan

BEFORE:
Trouble befalling the former Global Boxing Syndicate alumni as Debby Ryan got dumped by her former stable right before Nell Tiger Free offered this month’s challenge on the PPV.
“Hmm. It’s a shame, but I don’t think that makes Debby any less of a fighter,” Nell says first from the press table, giving the older blonde a courtesy nod. “She did quite well against Madison Beer and Emma Roberts just last year, so I’m eager to see how I’ll fare against someone with a lot more experience than I do.”
Debby Ryan may have fallen on hard times indeed, with her only victory last year over fellow rookie Aimee Lou Wood before losing representation of a stable. Still, the American isn’t allowing that setback to bother her.
“I’ve been a part of three stables spanning a total of ten years. Sure, my official record hasn’t been stellar, but I still command over a decade of fighting experience, whereas Nell has only been in the ring a couple of months. I’m excited to see what she brings to the table later, though it’ll also be my pleasure to show her the ropes.”
Both blondes are the same height when they meet later at the podium, but the similarities sort of stop there, with Ryan packing more bulk in her stature and both women coming in almost six years apart. They face off on stage and it’s a cordial, standard affair, with both girls smirking in each other’s face before turning to the reporters to get their fair share of photographs.
Later, in the ring, Nell’s wearing a leather brown sports bra and white boxing trunks. She’s strapped on blue gloves with white stripes for tonight’s contest. In the other corner, Debby Ryan has gone for a red bikini top, dark denim hot shorts, fixing white gloves on either hand and awaiting the bell. Referee rings to start and HERE WE GO with ten rounds of Flyweight action!
ROUND 1:
Nell skirts in fast, hoping to surprise and disrupt the action early. It works, with Debby looking shocked as the first couple of punches streak in towards her face. Nell being younger could be the reason for her high energy, high octane assault, this early, as she lands a couple of combos to Debby’s mouth and nose to snap her head back, before Ryan manages to get away and cover up with her arms. Ryan’s on the defensive for the rest of this round, suddenly looking concerned by the youngster’s spirited offence and ability to hurt her. Nell in control, confident forays sent forwards as she bashes more lefts and rights into the arms, headhunting most of the time, but also succeeding in landing leather off the American’s body. Debby finds her own heart in the final minute, returns with one or two stiff shots to Nell’s own face, drawing even more fire in her direction. Overall, it’s a good round for Nell Tiger Free!
ROUND 2:
Debby finds her footing in the second, moving a little more wary as both her gloves hover over her chin. Nell wants to extend her lead, but her jabs aren’t making as much headway as before, as Debby keeps a good distance and absorbs most of the early combos with her arms. Instead, Ryan is blasting the newcomer back with stiff blows to her own guard, squeezing those straight hands in and clearly aiming for her vulnerable face. Nell winces as a particularly nasty cross catches her on the nose, which gives her further pause going forward. Middle minute and both blondes exchange fire across the line, shooting hands into each other’s chins at the same time in the center of the ring. Nell is doing everything she can to stop Debby from taking the lead this round, but fails when she’s knocked to the side by another of Debby’s hooks sailing into the side of the head. For now, Ryan shows us how experience matters more, and takes the round close!
ROUND 3:
Ladies continue to feel each other out from afar, jabbing combos and circling like they’re sparring partners back in the gym. Both fighters have the same reach advantage though, so for the first minute or so, neither girl really has the advantage, as they take turns landing shots to the arms, body and face. Nell, however, realises that this strategy ain’t gonna fly in the long run, and she opts to scoot backwards in the second half, lead Debby forward with her lead right hand stuck out and moving. Ryan takes the bait at first, chasing Nell down and assuming she’s hurt and ready to go down. Not really, no! Ryan instead wincing as Nell’s jabs find their mark on her cheek, disrupting her charge and at the same time, allowing the Brit to scatter when Debby tries to end this fight with a sudden overhand or swung hook to the head. Round 3 swings back to Nell’s corner, but it’s clear that the youngster is being pushed to her limit.
ROUND 4:
Debby comes back with her own aggression, probably being told by her corner to charge in and finish the rookie off before she can find her groove. For the first minute, the play is effective, as Nell lets out a shout of pain as she’s hammered by fast combos to her arms and then shock hooks landed to her body. Debby’s face is screwed up in abject focus, her fists blitzing in with malice like she’ll be damned if she’s going to fall to this newcomer. Nell looks like she’s in trouble for a while, her body rocked by low hooks sent in and leather pasting her stomach, but a minute later, the Vixen has slipped out of the pin and is barreling back out to the ring at speed. She’s breathing hard, but the important thing is she’s still standing! Rest of the round sees Nell hold back and try to prevent a shutout round, stopping Debby from charging her down again with jabs to her face. Ryan, not adapting, clearly not getting the memo, taking punches to her face each time she tries to rush in and finish Nell off, and the two girls circle each other to end the round still close in Ryan’s favour.
ROUND 5:
Ryan’s early push has left her slightly winded, and the first minute sees Nell making a resurgent push towards her. Debby’s turn to wince and grunt as the younger fighter’s punches begin to hurt, Nell showing off time in the gym as she speedbags those arms with flurry after flurry, then gets out of the way of a return hook from the former GBS starlet. Ryan takes another hook to the chin all of a sudden, to send her reeling! It’s Nell’s turn to try and knock down the veteran, as she rushes in and goes to work all over her frame! Debby’s grunting, arms faltering, her back pushed to the ropes as Tiger Free rocks an uppercut to the stomach, another and another just battering at those arms, trying to end this! Ryan’s getting thrown left and right, groaning with her face hidden behind closed doors, till a hook to the head sends her SPINNING! AND DOWN SHE GOES! Debby losing her balance completely and falling down to all fours! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Nell Tiger Free! Ryan’s dead weight, panting hard before collapsing onto her back, her head rolling from side to side! It’s clear OVER!
Official Decision: Nell Tiger Free defeats Debby Ryan via KO4!
AFTER:
Tiger Free making her debut on the official PPV, and doing so in spectacular fashion! She throws her arms into the air and flashes a big smile, immediately circling back to her corner to celebrate with her fight team. Debby Ryan is still getting tended to by the medics but it’s clear she’s in no position to sit up or give comments to the press.
“Great fight! Great opponent!” Nell later exclaims to the press by ringside. “Ryan put up a fight, which we expected, but I’m proud of myself for staying calm. I’m already looking forward to my next fight!”
