One By One
Chapter One: Agent Green
By: Celebff
Starring:
Liu Tai Yang as Ms. Mauler
Jessica Biel as Agent Green
The life of a field agent includes cheap motels, hours in a car, and usually nobody to watch your back. For Agent Green this had been her life for the last twenty years. Every so often SPA would set her up in a fancy hotel suite when she had to play an affluent party crasher. But for the most part espionage included keeping the lowest profile possible. It also included keeping herself in the top shape possible. When she was younger she could take a few weeks off. The visits back to SPA’s headquarters provided her with every training necessity she could ever want. But as age crept in so did rust. If she didn’t find a place to keep her body at its best possible physical condition it made her vulnerable.
So, Green would take to forging applications to local gym memberships to get a free pass for a week or so. It wasn’t ideal, but she had to do what she had to do to keep herself fit. Twenty-four hour gyms were best and on her most recent mission she found one in an otherwise abandoned strip mall.
She had been tailing a Crux Co. truck for the last few days, trying to find the distribution center. She knew they were dealing some dirty goods under SPA’s nose for a while. It was just about finding how much of the pot had been contaminated. The truck pulled off at a rest station for the night, and Green took this opportunity to get a quick workout in. She lucked with the gym she found. It had a boxing ring and a small collection of other boxing equipment. Better yet, the gym was empty except for the front desk worker. Green had been taken aback by the size of her. If she had to guess she was about six feet tall and looked closer to 200lbs than 150. Green couldn’t help it. After two decades of field work she eyed pretty much anyone who looked like a possible physical threat.
Green was just in the warmup stage of her workout when she noticed the front desk girl making her way towards her. Green put the jump rope down and made eye contact with her. The girl had changed clothing. Before she was wearing a polo with the gym’s logo on it and a pair of slacks. Now, she was in a black sports bra and matching yoga pants. Green wore a similar outfit, though her sports bra covered her entire cleavage. The other woman’s did not. Not by a long shot. With every step towards the agent her breasts jiggled back and forth. Green tensed up a bit, sensing something was off.
“Hello,” Green said. “Can I help you?”
The woman stopped a few meters from her and answered, “Agent Green of SPA, yes?”
Green’s blood went cold. She should have known. Nobody with those dimensions would ever be a simple gym secretary. No, she was something else. How long had she been following her? How did she get to the gym beforehand? How did she KNOW she would even go to this specific gym? Green tried to rack her brain for answers, but they came up blank.
“Who are you?” replied Green.
“My name is unimportant,” the woman replied. “But for convenience sake you may call me Ms. Mauler.”
Agent Green rolled her eyes. They always had to have a nickname. Assassins were so vain. And frankly, unoriginal.
“Right,” Green said. “Well, if you don’t mind I’m just trying to get a quick workout in…”
“I see that,” Mauler replied. “You are very impressive looking. It is a shame what I must do to you.”
“And what is that?” asked Green.
“Break you,” she replied, then she gestured to the boxing ring. “It seems a shame to make a mess of this room. We are both warriors. Should we not engage in the area designated for combat?”
There was something unsettling about the calmness of this woman. Cockiness in an opponent didn’t set off any alarms. Most people are cocky in this line of work. Most of them know who Green is and jump at the opportunity to take down someone of her stature. So they usually come with threats and promises of humiliation. Whether it be sheer confidence or false bravado, Green had gotten used to that sort of attitude. This woman though… she seemed unbothered, as if she was doing something as simple as choosing a snack from the vending machine. This felt worse than normal.
“Well I hate to break it to you, but a lot of girls have tried to kill me,” replied Green. “As you can see, none have succeeded.”
The smaller agent began to make her way to the ring. She slid under the bottom rope and with her eyes trained on Ms. Mauler the entire time, backed into the far corner. Ms. Mauler followed suit, taking the opposite corner as she ducked under the top rope and swung her leg over the middle one.
“I do not mean for there to be confusion,” Ms. Mauler said. “I am not here to kill you. Rather, to break you and take you captive.”
“Oh how sweet,” replied Green. “And who may I ask so lovingly wants me as their own personal Han Solo in carbonite?”
The large woman blinked at Green, clearly not understanding the reference. She tilted her head a bit as if trying to process the words.
“Han Solo?” she asked.
“It’s…” Green started, but then shook her head. “Nothing. Forget it. Just… why don’t you tell me who sent you after me?”
“Oh, well that’s not possible,” replied Ms. Mauler. “I am genuinely sorry about that. But in my line of work discretion is a key component.”
“I see,” said Green. “Which is why you’ve done your best to scrub that accent when you speak English. Where in Hunan were you born?”
Ms. Mauler’s blank façade gave way for a moment. It seemed she had been slightly disarmed. However, the calmness quickly overtook her beautiful face once more. She gave a nod of the head to Agent Green.
“I was told you are quite capable,” Ms. Mauler said. “Beyond that, I knew nothing. How surprising it is to know you have a mind behind those pretty features. For this I will grant you this piece of knowledge: I was born in Hengyang.”
“And let me guess,” started Green as she rolled her neck, “Integrated into the Chinese government at a young age. Trained up to become some sort of ultimate badass. And now you use your talents all around the world to tip the balance of power in countries, take out threats to your government’s interests, and all to get patted on the head for being a good little girl.”
“I will tell you no more of myself,” she replied. “I will say though, that I am surprised to see you living in motel rooms and cars chasing down tractor trailers. I was told you are someone of renown. Is this how your country treats those who protect its interests?”
Agent Green’s nostrils flared. Her jaw clenched. She had been following her for a while. How long? Days? Weeks? Why was she striking now and not when she was in the shower or staking out the truck in her car? Someone clearly wanted to prove a point. And they planned to do it with this emotionless attack dog.
Green shrugged, “I suppose I’m not in it for being renowned. Keeping people safe is good enough for me.”
Ms. Mauler nodded, “That is a noble sacrifice. Especially considering how unsafe you are about to become on behalf of others.”
There was the sh*t talk. Agent Green for the first time felt a flicker of confidence. The big girl did have feelings. If she could feel things… she could get hurt. And as Green raised her fists, she planned on doing a lot of hurting.
The two women settled into their fighting stances and slowly moved towards each other. They met in the center of the ring and began to circle a bit. Green knew she was at a severe reach and power disadvantage, but she was banking on her experience in various fighting styles to carry her.
Green threw the first punch, a jab to test her opponent’s quickness. Ms. Mauler dipped her head to the side as the fist hit nothing but air. That calm look stayed plastered on her face. Green tried to throw a few more jabs, then mix in her right hand. Every single punch was dodged. Mauler responded with a jab of her own, which Green skillfully dodged. But then another one came back even quicker and tagged her on the chin.
It stung. No, scratch that. It HURT. A simple jab. Green had taken a million of them throughout the years. She hadn’t ever felt one like that before, though. Green tried to mix in her legs, she threw a left kick to the body, which her bigger foe simply swatted away as she stepped back. This spun Green around a bit and almost instantly she felt hands clamp around the front of her waist. Then, she felt the tight body of the large woman on her back.
Ms. Mauler gave a tight tug, and then lifted Green clean off of her feet. She tilted her own body back, bringing Green at least three feet up in the air before crashing her body back down onto the canvas. Mauler came down to the ground with her, keeping her body in tight as she squeezed Green’s midsection. The veteran agent let out a loud groan, but wasn’t determined to let herself get pinned under such a large opponent. She quickly worked her feet into the inside of the raven haired woman’s ankles, trying to keep her legs from getting a firm plant. Then, she fired off an elbow with her right arm while using her left hand to try to peel at the bigger woman’s fingers.
The elbow didn’t land, and it didn’t seem as if the fingers were peeling off, but Ms. Mauler finally relented her hold. However, she did plant her feet in Green’s back and use her like a springboard as she slid across the canvas towards the ropes. Green’s body launched forward and she too found herself sliding to the ropes. The agent grabbed the bottom one and began to hoist herself up onto her feet. She turned to locate the other fighter, who was casually leaning against the ropes.
“You are an impressive specimen,” Ms. Mauler said.
“Just wait until I land a punch,” Green replied.
“That would put you on a very short list of people in the world,” Mauler responded as she pushed herself off of the ropes and darted at Agent Green.
The bigger woman’s speed took Green off guard. Only a few strides and she was on her. Green’s guard was down so she ate a brutal left-right hook combo that sent the agent stumbling. Once again though, before she could react Mauler was on her. She took Green by the front of her hair and brought her head down, meeting it with a rising knee. The blow was violent enough to take Green from an upright position to her back in an instant.
The agent shook her head and blinked as the overhead lights gleaned in her eyes. Then, she felt her arm tugged down and a pair of thighs clamp around her bicep. She felt the weight of Mauler’s legs on her chest. Soon the pain shot through her arm. It was all she could do not to scream out in agony. She calmed herself and was able to brace herself well enough and move the pressure off of the elbow and onto the forearm. Green had enough experience to know how to redistribute pressure on an armbar. And yet… while she never had her forearm broken she felt like at this moment it was possible. It was the worst pain she had ever felt in her arm. Twenty years of fighting, and this was by far the worst.
The only thing she could do is plant her feet and try to roll towards the hold. It worked and she was able to slip her body between Ms. Mauler’s legs. But, Mauler simply pushed Green’s wrist up and let the agent’s body slide into her. The legs clamped around Green’s ribcage and the ankles locked. Then… Agent Green finally screamed.
Ms. Mauler took Green’s other wrist in her other hand and lifted it up as well. With Green’s hands out of the way, the bigger woman easily shifted her weight and brought the agent down on her side. Her legs, thick and hefty, tried their damndest to cave in Green’s ribcage. The veteran SPA agent had never felt a body scissor like this. All of the big bruisers she had fought, and there was never a scissors that crushed her body as succinctly as this. There was an efficiency to it. No pumping. No using it to toss her body around. This was simply unrelenting pressure. Consistent and unwavering pressure.
Agent Green’s body shook. She couldn’t even begin to fathom where her arms and legs were. She honestly probably couldn’t even remember her name or where she was. The only thought her brain could muster was torment. Slowly, the strength left Green’s body. Ms. Mauler could feel it in her grip around the anguished woman’s wrists. Most likely, she had already won the fight. That was not the task set out for her, though. She had to break this Agent Green. And break her she would.
The scissors released and Green’s felt her body swiftly hoisted to its feet. She started to come to her senses and realized she hadn’t in fact passed out from the pain. She looked over her head and saw her wrists firmly in her massive opponent’s hands. Then, she felt herself suddenly flung to the right. The air whipped by her ears and the only thing that stopped her from going any further was the collision with the corner post. She hit it hard. Hard enough to shake the entire ring. She turned towards it and began to push herself off of it, but soon realized she needed the grip for support.
Ms. Mauler on the other hand raced towards the agent. She lowered her shoulder and slammed it into the small of Green’s back. Again, the woman screamed out in anguish. As she began to slide down the corner, Mauler grabbed her by her bun and straightened her up. Then, she brought Green’s head back and began to slam it repeatedly into the padded corner. Sure, the padding helped a bit, but the full-force blunt hammering continued to chip away at Green’s consciousness.
Throughout her years in the field, Agent Green could tell when she was getting toyed with. It hadn’t happened in years. Most of her opponents knew who she was. The woman who defeated Loni Striker. She was a threat to everyone in the room at all times. Even friendly sparring matches with Agents Yellow or Blue carried a level of understanding that she was to be taken seriously. But this… beast of a woman. She didn’t see her as a threat. Maybe because she didn’t know any better. Maybe because she was currently bashing her head into silly puddy. Whatever the case, there was no inkling of fear or hesitation resonating from the so-called Ms. Mauler.
Green felt her body pulled from the corner and then the arms of Ms. Mauler wrap her up. Her feet once more left the canvas. Mauler pivoted and slammed Green with brutality. Then, she peeled the agent off of the canvas, wrapped her arms around her, lifted her, pivoted, and slammed her again. Over and over, Green’s body took the full weight of Ms. Mauler’s. There were no breaks. Mauler did not show any sign of fatigue. She slammed her with the same amount of force and took the same amount of time to do it every time. Agent Green lost count of how many times she had been slammed. All she knew was her spine was incredibly fragile. Her arms and legs didn’t work. And she had been sobbing uncontrollably for the last seven slams.
“Please…” Green gasped out. “No more… no more.”
Agent Green begged. Her voice cracked as she pleaded with her tormenter to stop. But Ms. Mauler didn’t say a word. She didn’t even look at her. There was a complete coldness to it, a complete disregard. It was as if she was simply playing with a dog… or a doll. Green didn’t even seem to register on Ms. Mauler’s radar as a person anymore.
Still, she slammed her. She slammed her until Agent Green’s tear ducts ran dry. She slammed her until the only motion coming from the agent’s body was involuntary trembling. Her eyelids fluttered. Her jaw hung low. And still… Ms. Mauler slammed Agent Green into the canvas.
The SPA agent just wanted it to stop. She would do anything. She would say anything. She would give up any information Ms. Mauler wanted. She would sell out informants. She would sell out colleagues. She would sell out dear dear friends.
And still Ms. Mauler slammed her.
She didn’t ask for information. She didn’t ask for names. She didn’t ask for informants. She didn’t ask for colleague locations. She didn’t ask for the names of friends. There was nothing she wanted from Agent Green. There was nothing she could offer her. Nothing she could do to make her stop. The slams were going to stop when Ms. Mauler chose to stop.
Eventually, she chose to stop them. She stopped them well after Agent Green had slipped out of consciousness. In fact, one of the slams even woke Green up and the next one put her out again. She unceremoniously hoisted the limp body of Agent Green over her shoulder as if she weighed only a couple of pounds. There was no mocking. No flexing. No foot planting. Ms. Mauler did not even crack a smile. She simply slung her victim over her shoulder and left the gym.
Ms. Mauler had accomplished what she’d set out to do. She had broken Agent Green. Now, it was onto the next name on her list…

Love the premise, and the first chapter! Characters that are more a force of nature than a person really intrigue me. Excited to Agent Yellow in action finally! My mind is filled with potential stories for Miss Mauler, what if she and Tilda tag teamed a pair of agents, Can you imagine the power in a dual bearhug? I can see her taking out Green and Blue at the same time with a headscissors if SPA decides a numbers advantage is a way to go.

oh all that was meant to be in One by One series, I was just spitballing ideas. Obviously Mauler throws the regular canon out of whack.
