TESS VALMORE
Once again, I present this month’s of my much ridiculed predictions. As usual it is littered with unflattering comments, cheap shots and unjustified criticism. In the November predictions, I went 42-14 running my total to 2,901-860 or 77% correct.
STEINFELD/PANABAKER. Steinfeld has a career record of 11-7 and has won five of her last six. Panabaker has been in the FCBA for ten years and has had only eight fights winning three. She is 0-1-0 for the year with that loss being to Steinfeld will repeat her win.
GERBER/FRADEGRADA. Gerber has a 12-6 career record, but has a 2-3 record for the year with her losses being to being to Lipa, Winstead and Kendall Jenner. Fradegrada has an 11-3 which includes one fight in the BBU. Although she beat Daddario who beat Gerber, Gerber has fought the better schedule by far. It will serve her well. Gerber will win’
KEEGAN/D.R.RUSSELL. Keegan has been in over one hundred fights and has a combined record of 47-54 with an FCBA record of 23-30. She has lost her last ten with six of those losses being in the FCBA and she has lost fifteen of her last sixteen. Russell comes on with a 8-7 record and is 3-0 for the year and has won six of her last ten. She has fought basically mediocre opponents. Height is not a factor, but Russell is 12 years younger than Keegan. I don’t have a strong feeling about this bout, but I will go with Russell because of youth.
CAMERON/C.MENDES. While Cameron has a career record of 12-14 she has come along quite well this yea winning eight of ten beating McNamara, Carter and Olivia Holt among others. Mendes has the better career record being 4-3 for the year and has won six of her last ten. Mendes has fought the better opponents by far. Mendes will win even if she is not blonde which Cameron is.
M.WILLIAMS/CICCHINO Williams is a member of the Hall Of Fame she had 217 fights second only to Theron for active fighters. She is 41 years old and looks to be past her prime being 1-5 for the year. Cicchino broke into the FCBA this year and already has a 15-2 record. Cicchino is twenty-one years younger, but Williams is two inches taller. I’m a little tired of Cicchino’s mouth and Williams is blonde so I will go with the veteran Williams.
HSIEH/CARMELLA. Since debuting in the FCBA this year Hsieh has done quite well to say the least. Going into this bout is 7-1. Carmella has been in the FCBA for four years, has had four fights and won a grand total of none. They are the same height, but Hsieh is nine years younger. Hsieh will win
CHENG/HANAI. Cheng made her debut earlier this year and has a 3-3 record with two of her losses being to Beer and Cameron. Hanai broke into the BBU in 2017. During that time she has had five fights and is 0-3 in the FCBA. Cheng is 5’1” but she is two inches taller than Hanai. Cheng in six.
N.LEE/NATSUME. Lee made her debut in October beating Hsieh. Natsume is another who broke into the BBU in 2017. She has a 3-2 record and has lost her only FCBA fight. Natsume is not only fourteen years older, she is almost six inches shorter than Lee. That’s a tough road for Natsume. She won’t make it.Lee notches a win.
OZAWA/LAYLA. Ozawa has a combined record of 12-6 with her FCBA record being 1-1. I thought Layla was a song by Eric Clapton. Other than that I have no idea who she is. I’m going to have to pass
RATAJKOWSKI/OLSEN. Once again Demi Rose has ducked both Olsen and Kelly for a title fight. Now Olsen has to face Ratajkowski in the biggest bantam fight of the night. Emily has a 49-19 record and is 10-3 for the year with two of those losses coming to Rose. Olsen is 11-2 for the year with her losses being to Larson and Kosarin. Rose is probably praying for Ratajkowski to win and she well could, but I have to go with Olsen
SCODELARIO/LILLY. Another top bantam fight. Scodelario has a FCBA career record of 43-17 but is having a rough year being 4-5 fighting good competition. Lilly is in the Hall Of Fame and is a seven time Unified Bantam champ. Like all fighters over forty, she seems to be past her prime. She has lost her last six although all the losses were to top bantams and a top ten lightweight. The two have fought five time with Scodelario winning three. I think she will make it four of six.
DAY/DIDONATO. Day has a 13-5 career record and is having a good year being 6-1. That one loss was to Lipa in the November PPV. DiDonato is 9-5 for the year, but has lost her last three. Two of her five losses this year were to Kendall Jenner, one in a title fight and another to Kate Upton. While Day is promising she is no Jenner or Upton. DiDonato wins her last fight of the year.
UPTON/KYLIE JENNER. This is an inter-stable bout, Kate is a good friend of mine. She is also blonde. I’ve about has it with the Kardashian/Jenner clan and their constant play to the paparazzi
Does that tell you how I think this bout is going to go? I know that Jenner beat Kate the last time they fought. Not this time. Upton in five.
BLALOCK/THERON. Speaking of good friends, Charlize has gone a little off the deep end. She is obsessed with getting 300 wins before she retires. This will be bout number thirty for the year. That’s insane, especially for someone her age. Eventually all these fights are going to be her downfall. This is a catchweight fight at 121. Blalock is two time Unified Bantam champ. They have never fought before. I’m barred from predicting Theron fights.
S.MITCHELL/LOTZ. Mitchell is a former Unified Bantam champ. She has a career record of 35-32 and is 3-3 for the year. She has become somewhat unpredictable this year beating Bella Throne and Naomi Scott but losing to Ronan and Chopra. Lotz has a 19-13 career record and is 3-0 for the year with a win over Scodelario. The two fought once before, six years ago, with Mitchell winning. I’m going with Mitchell to win, but I don’t have a lot of confidence in this prediction.
BENSON/FISHER. Benson has been having a rough time recently. She is 1-3 for the year and has lost ten of her last fourteen. This is Fisher’s debut. She is 21 years old and stand 5’7” She is supposed to be a “Social Media Personality’ whatever that is. Am I supposed to be impressed? I am not on any social media. How low are we going to go in the definition of “celebrity”? I never bet an a newbie. Benson will win.
KRSMANOVIC/LEOTTA. Krsmanovic has a combined 30-25 combined record and is 21-23 in the FCBA. She’s 5-6 for the year fighting a tough welter schedule Of the top ten welters, she has fought five this year. Leotta made her debut this year and has a good 9-3 record. She hasn’t fought the schedule Bo has. Krsmanovic in five.
RAMIREZ/HALE. Ramirez is a 500 fighter. In her two years she has gone even in each year being 3-3 last year and 5-5 this year. The bout will break that pattern
She has fought a good schedule this year and has wins over Michelle Williams, Lavigne and Cicchino, Hale is a veteran with a 36-36 FCBA record and is a former Unified Flyweight champ. She is 2-2 for the year with a win over Portman, but has lost six of her last ten. I’m going to go with Hale.
S.TURNER/CAVANIS. Turner is 3-2 for the year and has lost six of her last ten fighting a tough schedule. Her big win during that period was over Dua Lipa
Cavanis made her debut this year and is 6-3. She simply hasn’t fought the kind of competition that Turner has. Turner in seven
McADAMS/PAUSINI. McAdams is a four time Unified Bantam champ with a
With a 56-46 record. I have to ask why is Pausini continued to be allowed to fight in the FCBA. She has fought 25 times and has yet to win one. She serves as an easy win. In six fights this year she has failed to last four. Why is McAdams who is now 43, fighting Pausini. My guess is that she has a very remote chance of getting into the Hall Of Fame. A string of easy fights could put her there, but the committee is watching. McAdams of course.
DIPATRIZI/B.MADISON. DiPatrizi made her debut in April and has already had sixteen bouts, winning nine. She has basically beaten below average to average fighters and lost to good ones. Madison fits the bill as one that DiPatrizi can beat. She has a 3-7 career record and is 2-3 for the year. DiPatrizi will win
WILLEMS/VAYNTRUB. Willems has a 9-11 career record. She got new management in September and has won 2 of 3 since. Vayntrub has a 2-10 record. Not much more to say about her. Willems wins
BRESLIN/BROSNAHAN. Breslin is a stablemate of Willems and joined Free Punchers at the same time. She has a 8-3 record and since joining her stable she was won both her fights beating Madison Beer in the October PPV. Brosnahan has a combined record of 4-0 with three of those wins being in the FCBA. She has had one fight this year beating Kate Mara which is not exactly an earth shattering win. I go win Breslin to give the Free Punchers another win
HARRIER/Z.COLEMAN. Harrier made her debut in October and has beaten Jenny McCarthy and Alyson Michalka and lost to Sophie Turner. Coleman has a career record of 7-9. She recently beat Odette Yustman on the FNL card. She also has wins over Gibbs and Wallis Day. This could be a fine fight. I have to go with Coleman based on her win over Yustman
I.LAWRENCE/LYNN. Lawrence made her debut in October and has beaten Utgaard and Ashley Graham. Lynn made her debut in April and already has an 8-1 record with wins over Gemma Atkinson, Prinsloo and Barros. Her one loss was to Lawrence, Jennifer not Isra. To me this is a 50/50 bout. I will go with Lynn
MORETZ/DOUGLAS. Moretz has a 18-17 record and is 4-3 for the year. She has basically fought average fighters in her career although this year she did beat Jenna Louise Coleman and lost to Bassinger. Douglas is another recent newcomer. She has had one fight which she lost to Nell Tiger Free. I have to go with experience. Moretz in four
CORRIGAN/BARNES Corrigan has a 13-4 career record and is 5-1 for the year and has wins over Kelly Gale, Swanepoel and Dakota Johnson. Barnes has had four FCBA fights and lost them all. She is also ten years older than Corrigan. Corrigan will increase her record for the year to 6-1
ALDRIDGE/MENGHIA Aldridge has a 17-11 career record and is 5-2 for the year.
Her wins this year were over average to below average opponents. In her last two bouts were up the pecking order and she lost to Dua Lipa and Nina Agdal both in five. Menghia Is making her debut in this fight. As I have said previously, I never bet on a newbie. Aldridge wins
ROHRBACH/WOZNIACKI. Rohrbach has a 29-18 career record and I having a reasonably good year being 4-2 with her losses being to Swift and DiDonato. Wozniacki has a 6-7 record and is 1-1 for the year. She is a tennis player. Except for Krsmanovic who beat her, her opponents have been unremarkable
Rohrbach in five
SCHIFFER/EVERHART.
A cougar bout. Schiffer is now fifty-one years old and has a 3-3 record. She broke into the FCBA in 1999, had one fight and then didn’t fight again until 2020. She currently the head trainer at LCA. Everhart is 52 and has fight off and on since 1999 and has a record of 6-18 and has lost her last thirteen bouts. Her last win was in 2006 when she beat Hall Of Fame member Ali Landry. Her losing streak will continue.
M.TAN/MATSUGANE. Tan made her debut in June and has a 2-2 record. Matsugane has a 3-6 FCBA record. She is two inches taller than Tan but she is 11years older. I admit I know much about Asian fighters, but I will go with Tan.

MAISIE WILLIAMS/HARA. Williams has a 12-12 FCBA and is 3-4 for the year
This is Hara’s FCBA debut. She has a 16-5 record in the BBU The two have fought similar competition. I will go with Hara’s BBU record and say she will win
LIPA/L.JAMES. Lipa Is having a good 6-3 year. Her Losses were to Swift, Huntington-Whitely and Kylie Jenner. She is currently ranked at nine in the lightweights. James is 5-0 for the year, but her competition has been on the light side. Boxing World has her ranked at forty. She is not ready for Lipa who will win
KENDALL JENNER/SAGRA. Kendall is having a fine year. Well what’s new? Boxing World has her ranked at four in the lightweights. She is 12-4 for the year. Sagra bust on the scene and quickly rose to the top ten lightweights by going 11-2 in 2017-18, Since then she has fallen out of the top ten and is now ranked at twenty. She has a 10-11 record since 2018. I have little doubt that Kendall will win again
O.HOLT/LOWNDES. Holt is 6-2 for the year and held the Unified Flyweight Title for four months this year. She has a 6-2 2021 record. Lowndes has a 51-30 record, has been a Unified Flyweight champion and has an excellent chance of getting into the Hall Of Fame. The last two years have been not the best as she was 5-4 last year and is 5-4 this year. The two have fought once before with Holt winning. She will repeat.
TAYLOR-JOY/ROBBIE Taylor Joy made her debut in 2017 and has been sensational with a 13-1 record and wins over Dobrev and Scodelario. I like Robbie. She is one of Theron’s corner. She has a 28-25 record. but is 1-3 for the year and has lost four of her last five. I have to go with Taylor-Joy.
WILLERTON/HERRINGTON. Willerton has a combined 9-6 record, but is 5-1 in the FCBA I her last three fights she has beaten Kubicka, Kloss and Barros. Herrington is 4-5 for the year with six of her bouts being in the Diamond Boxing Tournament where she beat Regan, Utgaard and Krsmanovic. This should be a good fight. I will go with Willerton.
MUNN/BECKINSALE. Munn is now 41. She used to a top bantam and a one time bantam champ, but age caught up. Between 2018-20 she lost twelve straight. Sceej picked her up in January and she has had 3-2 record. Beckinsale has a 65-42 career record and was admitted into the Hall Of Fame. She is unique as she is the only member of the Hall Of Fame never to have held a title. At age of 48, she is having an 8-3 record. She will make that 9-3
LAWLEY/MEGAN-THEE-STALLION. Lawley, better known as the Godzilla of the FCBA has a 15-13 record, She has gone for 0-6 last year to 4-1 this year. Megan made her debut this year and is 4-0. She has a big win over Rhoda. Lawley has a big win over Tahnee Atkinson. This should be a good fight. I will go with Godzilla
SASHA GHADIE/MERCED Ghadie made her debut last month beating Dyvenor

LYNCH/LOSERFRUIT. Lynch is ranked at sixteen the Boxing World bantam rankings. She is 8-3 for the year. Loserfruit is 3-0 for the year with two of her wins being over Alesha Dixon. I note she is a “gamer-streamer”. That’s brought the term “Celebrity” to a new low, The term “Celebrity” used to mean something. Now is meaningless. I will have more to say on this later.Loserfruit is ranked at 154 in the bantams That should tell you how this is going to go. It “ain’t going Loserfruit’s’ way
E.WATSON/F.ALLAN. Watson has a 7-5 for the year and has lost her last three to Lavigne, Tiger Free and McNamara. Allan has had three fights and won them all.
She won’t win this one.
H.FERGUSON/LIVELY. I’m getting down to the end of the scheduled list and I find Lively fighting Ferguson. Now I have a problem because Lively is already fighting Tatangelo. Obviously one of these fights isn’t going to go To save me time, I will just say that if this fight goes Ferguson will be the winner
HUDGENS/L.COLLINS. For the Unified Flyweight title. Hudgens is 10-3 for the year and this will be her first defense of this title. Collins is 9-3 The two have fought five times with Collins winning three. Hudgens will even up the score
WINSTEAD/TELES For the Unified Lightweight title. Winstead is 7-2 for the year with both her losses being to Taylor Swift. Teles has a 3-1 record for the year. Winstead will repeat
RIGHETTI/RHODA. Should be a great bout, but you know the drill. I never beat against Righetti winning until she doesn’t

Merced has a 14-8 career record and is 4-4 for the year. In the November PPV She beat Samia Ghadie, her aunt. Sasha is not gong to have any better luck than her aunt. Merced wins.
The loss was to Kendall Jenner in a title fight so this is her second title fight in three bouts. She’s beaten Strahovski, Swift and Gonzalez. The two fought once before with Winstead winning. Winstead will repeat
RIGHETTI/RHODA. Should be a great bout, but you know the drill. I never beat against Righetti winning until she doesn’t
