TESS VALMORE
Once again, I present this month’s edition of my much ridiculed predictions. As usual, it is littered with unflattering comments, cheap shots and unjustified criticism. In August, I went 34-16 running my total to 2781-863 or 765% correct
VAUGIER/THERON. I’m barred from Theron fight predictions
D.CAMPBELL/PUGH. Campbell is 5-5 in her last ten. Her losses were to top fighters and her wins were over average opponents. Pugh looks to be an up and coming flyweight. This fight will give us a good idea of how good she is. Other than her win over Winnick who is a bantam, her wins were over average opponents. Pugh is undefeated in five FCBA fights. I’m going to take a chance on Pugh
MORETZ/TEMPLE Moretz has won seven of her last 10. Two of her losses were to Carter and Lavigne. Temple has a combined 6-7 record, but is 1-4 in the FCBA. Moretz will make her FCBA record 1-5 with a knockout win.
CHERYL COLE/E.STONE Cole has won seven of her last ten and is 4-1 for the year, She has wins over Lily Collins and Emma Watson this year. This is a Kamikaze mission for Stone. She has lost her last eleven. Her last win was back in June 2016. This is a walk in the park for Cole, who will win in five.
M.KELLY/HOLLAND Minka is on our Hall Of Fame watch. This will be her 92nd fight. She already has the wins. She just needs this fight and eight more, win or lose. She has won six of seven this year. Holland is having a poor year losing four of five. One of her losses was to Samia Ghadie which would cause many to retire. Kelly in a waltz.
CORRIGAN/D.JOHNSON Corrigan has an 11-4 career record an is 3-1 for the year. Her loss was to Eliza Gonzalez. Johnson has a 4-13 career record and has lost six of her last ten over the last five years. I have no doubt that Corrigan will win.
DECKER/BOCK. Decker is another LCA fighter on the way to the Hall Of Fame. Decker has won ten of her last fourteen going back to the beginning of last year. She is 3-2 this year with one loss being to Upton and the other an upset at the hands of Hoopes. She is ranked at eight by Tractorpull and twelve by Boxing world. Bock doesn’t fight much She has only had nine fight in five years and lost five of those. Boxing World has her ranked at 53. Decker won’t have a problem of disposing of Bock
DORMER/BELLISARIO. Dormer has a 5-5 record going back five years, She is 3-1 for this year with her loss being to Winnick. Bellisario has been fighting for eleven years, has a 36-29 record and is a former bantam champion. She is 2-2 for the year, She has lost her last two, to Scott in a title fight and to Dobrev. She will get back on the winning track by KOing Dormer
HALE/CICCHINO. Hale is another PLP veteran who is a former champion. She has a 36-35 record and has won two of three this year. Her loss was to Megan Fox. Cicchino is a rookie who has quickly won her first seven fights. Hale is actually in a funk right now, but I think with her experience. She will derail Cicchino
RAMIREZ/MERCED Ramirez has a 7-5 career record, but she has wins over Cheryl Cole, Michelle Williams and Lavigne. Earlier this month, she beat Isabela
Moner. Now she fights Isabela Merced. That’s the same person. Using a different name for her opponent isn’t going to change the result Ramirez wins
BECKY G/PANETTIERE Becky G has lost six of her last ten and is 1-3 for the year. Panettiere is a Hall Of Fame member. At the young age of 31 (for a Hall member) she has been fighting below the Hall win requirement for four years although her win ratio is still above 63%. I have to go with Hayden to hand Becky G a loss.
CHOPRA/GILLIES Chopra has won seven of her last ten. She has beaten Ratajkowski, but lost to Minka Kelly, Selena Gomez and Elizabeth Olsen. Gillies has lost seven of her last ten. Two of her last losses were to Alexis Ren, a top lightweight. She beat Ren once, the fights being for the body saddle. This could be a good fight. I will go with Chopra.
CAMERON/McNAMARA Cameron has lost five of her last ten going back to 2018. She is 5-1 for the year and in her last fight she upset Olivia Holt. McNamara has won seven of her last ten and is 2-2 for the year with one of her losses being to Olivia Holt. Despite Cameron’s win and McNamara’s loss to Holt this year, I think McNamara is going to win.
BASSINGER/PORTMAN. Bassinger broke in in 2019 winning all four of her bouts. Since then, things haven’t gone well. She has lost four of five this year. Portman is a Hall Of Fame member. She is eighteen years older than Bassinger but she is not slowing down. She has won six of her last ten. Portman will win
ORRANTIA/E.LIZA TAYLOR. Orrantia is a mediocre fighter, the kind to have around to fill out the under card. She has lost eleven of her last fourteen. Taylor has been around for seven years, but has had only thirteen fights winning eight. She has won her last three against less than impressive opponents. I think this is a 50/50 bout. A flip of the coin goes Taylor for the win
LIMA/UPTON. Let me make this perfectly clear. Kate The Great, the Queen, is a good buddy of mine. Lima isn’t. Of course that can only mean that the Queen will win
B.MADISON/MONREAL Madison is another who is not used much. She has been in the FCBA for four years but has only had eight fights. She is 2-1 for the year. Monreal debuted last year and has had only four fights being 2-2. I have to admit I don’t have any idea who will win. but I have to choose someone, so I choose Monreal
D.R.RUSSELL/SWEETNAM Russell has a 7-7 career record. She lost three of four last year but won of her two bouts this year. This is Sweetnam’s debut. She will lose.
MAISIE WILLIAMS/LESLIE Williams has a winning record in the BBU but is 9-10 in the FCBA. She has lost seven of her last eight FCBA fights. Leslie broke in last year. She has had only three fights but won all of them with wins over Cameron and Bilson. I go with Leslie to remain undefeated.
SCODELARIO/LOTZ. Scodelario is a top bantam with an FBA record of 43-15. She is 4-3 for the year with her losses being to Ratajkowski, Kosarin and Elizabeth Olsen. Lotz has won six of her last ten. Most of her losses were to the same fighters that beat Scodelario. I have to go with Scodelario to win.
LIPA/ALDRIDGE. Lipa is ranked at fourteen in Boxing World, but at eight in Tractorpull's rankings. She is looking for a title fight. She is 4-2 for the year with her losses being to Swift and Huntington-Whiteley. Aldridge has won eight of her last ten and all five of her fights this year. She hasn’t fought nearly the top completion that Lipa has. I have to go with Lipa
RHODA/H.DAVIS. This is not a good time to be fighting Rhoda. She got upset by Megan-Thee-Stallion is the August PPV. Prior to that loss she had won four of her last five with that loss being to Tahnee Atkinson. Davis has lost three of her last four. She is not going to be a push-over, however Rhoda is going to win
LARSON/HEARD A Marvel vs DC bout which means absolutely nothing to me. If you are talking film, I refuse to watch films that depend on CGI. Larson has won six of her last ten with her losses being to top bantams. Larson is listed as a bantam-lightweight however I don’t believe she has ever fought a true lightweight. Heard is a lightweight who occasionally fights bantams. She has a win over Megan Fox this year and Yustman at the end of this year.. I have to go with Heard. Don’t bet on this prediction.
LOVATO/OLSEN. Lovato has won six of her last ten and all four of her bouts this year. Olsen is on a tear. Since the beginning of last year she has won seventeen of twenty-two. She is 7-2 this year beating Dobrev and Bella Thorne among others. These two fought last year with Lovato winning by a TKO7. Olsen will get revenge by KOing Lovato
KYLIE JENNER/CUOCO Jenner is 5-2 for the year losing to DiDonato and her sister Kendall in a title bout that smelled of nepotism. Cuoco is in the Hall Of Fame but at the age of 36 it looks like she is done. Going back to the beginning of 2017 she has lost eleven of fifteen bouts and her win ratio has dropped to 58.4 %. I expect Jenner to win
RIGHETTI/TAILOR. You should know the drill. I never bet against Amanda
NASTI/KRUEK Nasti made her debut in April and already has had eleven fights, winning seven Kreuk is a three time flyweight champion but at the age of 38, she is past her prime. She has lost ten of her last twelve. I doubt her career is going to get any better. Nasti wins
FRADEGRADA/HOSK. Fradegrada lost her first fight and since the she has won nine of ten.. Her only loss to to Eliza Gonzales. Hosk has a 5-9 nine record and has lost her last four although to top opponents. I go with Fradegrada
LEOTTA/ATWELL JMDD
BOUCCIA/McKINNEY JMDD
CAVANIS/RATCHFORD. Cavanis debuted in April and has had seven bouts, winning five. Her wins included two over Barbara Palvin with her losses being to Tahnee Atkinson and Lily Aldridge. Ratchford has been around since 2016 but has only had five fights. The first three were a JDD She has a 2-3 record. In conventional fights she is 1-1 losing to McKinney and beating Goodwin. Cavanis will win.
CHIENG/BEER Chieng made her debut in February. She has had four fights winning three. Her loss was to Dove Cameron. Beer enters this fight with a 9-6 record. As I write this Beer has just lost a bout to Sarah Carter. She has two weeks to get ready for this bout. I think she will be ready and will win.
HSIEH/MATSUGUNE. Hsieh is another newbie. She has had four fights, one at JMD and has won them all. Matsugune has been around since 2011 fighting in the BBU until the end of 2017. She made her debut in the FCBA in 2016. She has had seven fights this year, all against Harumi Nemoto. She lost four. She will lose Hsieh
S.LYNN/PRINSLOO For some reason Sabrina Lynn doesn’t appear in the index
I found her by going to her stable. She has had three fights winning them all. Her opponents were not remarkable, but satisfactory for a newbie. Prinsloo has a 14-14 record and was lost three of her last four, all to top welters. I’m going to take a chance of Prinsloo
BECKINSALE/McCARTHY. If Beckinsale wins this fight she will barely get into the Hall of fame. She beat Wilde in a VIX PPV earlier this month. If she loses she will still be on the outside looking in This is for the best of five and they are tied at two They have alternated wins and this will be a Beckinsale win if the pattern hols true. It will. Beckinsale will win.
SWIFT/PALICKI. This bout is for the best of three. Swift is 9-4 for the year and has won five of her last six. Adrianne is 3-3 for the year but has lost three of her last four. Tractorpull has Swift ranked at two and Palicki at eight. Boxing World has Palicki a four and Swift at six. Palicki is one of my favorite. I want her to win, therefore I think she will. How’s that for analysis
REN/LEITHOLD Ren has a career record of 48-13 and is 4-3 for the year with two of those losses being to Swift. Leithold has had one fight which she lost. Boxing World has Ren at twelve and Leithold at one hundred thirty five.. Now who do you think is going to win this fight? Hint! It won’t be Leithold
LOPILATO/ACCOLA Lopilato has a career record of 36-14 and is 5-3 for the year. Accola has a career record of 14-17. She hasn’t fought in almost four years. Her last fight was in December 2017. The long layoff isn’t going to help her. Lopilato will win in six.
L.COLLINS/RONAN. Collins was the flyweight champ earlier this year, She has won thirteen of her last fifteen. Ronan is making an upward move and has won five of her last six. Collins has the experience and the talent. Collins will win
M.FOX/LAVIGNE. For the Unified Flyweight Title. This will be Fox’s first defense of her title. This will be the first fight between these two. Fox just joined the Hall Of Fame. Lavigne has a good chance of making it also. The trash talking, humiliation loving, multi-colored hair **** has to be stopped. Western civilization is at jeopardy. The reputation of the FCBA is at stake. With all that is at risk, Fox has to win. She will
RATAJKOWSKI/D.ROSE. For the United Bantamweight title. This is a case of not so much who I like, but who I don’t. Actually the number of fighters I don’t like amount to about ten our of several thousand who are in the index. Rose makes the cut. I wish someone would tell me what is so attractive about a butt the size of a Greyhound Bus. Rose beat Ratajkowski on a VIX card earlier this month taking the JMD from her. This is Emily’s chance for revenge. Ratajkowski will make Rose’s title run last one fight.
WINSTEAD/KENDALL JENNER. Jenner just got off vacation from a previous vacation which was probably exhausting from telling paparazzi where she was going to be. Jenner is having a great year being 9-2. She has won her last seven over an impressive list of opponents. Her two losses were to Righetti and Upton who of course, are welters. Winstead has quietly been laboring in the lightweight division for twelve years fighting the best. She is 4-0 for the year. She actually has won more lightweight titles than Jenner. These two have fought six times with each winning three so this is for the best of seven. I actually think this is a 50/50 fight. A coin flip. It comes up Winstead. Don’t bet on my prediction
CORRIN/H.FERGUSON. For the Unified Welterweight Title. This will be Ferguson’s third title defense. She is having a great 7-1 year with her only loss being an upset at the hands of Flair. Since then she has won six straight with two of those wins being rare Unanimous Decision. Corrin made her debut in the January PPV. She has won four of five, but hasn’t nearly fought the schedule that Ferguson has. Corrin simply doesn’t have the experience. Ferguson will retain her title
Once again, I present this month’s edition of my much ridiculed predictions. As usual, it is littered with unflattering comments, cheap shots and unjustified criticism. In August, I went 34-16 running my total to 2781-863 or 765% correct
