Paige Van Zant versus Brenda Song

This flyweight bout was turning out to be a surprise to those watching it and at the ringside. After 3 rounds, Brenda Song was leading the fight. The third round saw her shutout the former MMA star as she punched and worked over the blonde hard. Some fight fans were wondering if PVZ was going to answer the bell for the next round.

VanZant did come out for the fourth round and seemed to be bouncing on her toes. Her jabs and straights were going to Song’s face. Brenda was surprised by these shots and had to defend or duck as her face soon was taking leather. She did not seem fast enough as VanZant went into brawl mode on her. Soon the two were in a hot firefight near the far ropes. Paige seems to take the better of it as her red gloves light up Brenda’s face again. Song goes to answer with shots to VanZant’s body but those head shots have her reeling. Brenda is semi dazed as the round comes to a close. VanZant returns to her corner as she wins the round widely.

The bell for the fifth round found Brenda still wincing from Paige’s punches of the previous round. Song moves winded as the round begins. VanZant comes right away at the brunette as her red gloves go into that face. Brenda is soon taking some hard uppercuts and straights to her face. OHH PAIGE IS TURNING HER HEAD BACK AND FORTH! Song is fading back to the near ropes as VanZant keeps up the barrage of punches. Brenda is fading fast as the round moves on. She tries to clinch but get hard hooks into her midsection from Paige for this move. VanZant gets two more straights to Song’s face AND SONG GOES DOWN! Brenda falls to the canvas on her right side as Paige watches. Soon the blonde shuffles to a neutral corner and smiles wide as she watches the count begin. Song never moves during the entire 10 count. KO R5 – Paige VanZant.

VanZant came from the corner and posed for the fans and cameras. Then she came to middle of the ring and had her right arm raised. Brenda was brought around and cleaned up for the announcement. She quickly left the ring after VanZant hugged her.
