TESS VALMORE
RODRIGO/ORA. Olivia Rodrigo is making her debut. My question is why. Are we short of flyweights? Not hardly. She is facing Rita Ora, who has a combined BBU/FCBA record of 10-8 and a FCBA record of 4-6. When facing an unknown, I always go with the known. Ora will win
SWANEPOEL/CORRIGAN Swanepoel comes into this bout with a career record of 18-38-1. Her career has not gone well. Over the last five years she has lost nine of her last ten and become a go to for a win fighter. Corrigan enters this bout with a 9-4 win. Her competition generally has been on the light side, but she does has a win over Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I have to go with Corrigan to dispose of Swanepoel in five
G.ATKINSON/KLOSS. Two welters on the way to nowhere. This could actually be the fight of the night. Atkinson has a career record of 19-28. She has had only one fight this year which she lost to Charlotte McKinney. She was close to the top ten in 2016 when she beat beat Law, Freeman, Govich and Nolin in a row. I have never figured out what happened to Kloss. She burst on the scene on 2016 winning all six of her fights and and fourteen of her first 20. She as in the top ten for a short period and then in 2019 her career turned North. (Remember turning South is good, North not so much) Since then she’s has lost twelve of fourteen. Kloss is younger and has a two inch height advantage. The two have fought twice before with each having a win. Kloss will win the best of three
CHOPRA/RATAJKOWSKI Chopra comes into this bout with a 21-18 record and is 4-3 for this year. Ratajkowski is a 45-16 record and is on an eight fight win steak including wins over Bella Thorne, Scodelario and Lamborghini. She is ranked at two in the bantams by Boxing World with Chopra coming in at fourteen. Boxing Worlds opinion is accurate. Ratajkowski will be the winner
LOWNDES/V.HUDGENS Hudgens is a member of the Hall Of Fame. Lowndes is likely member of the Hall. The two have fought eight times and the series has not gone well for Lowndes as Hudgens has won five of the eight with her last win being last Christmas. Lowndes last win was in December 2017. Boxing World has Hudgens ranked at thirteen in the flyweights while Lowndes holds down the twenty spot. Hudgens will be favored, but I am going to go with Lowndes to upset Hudgens
