Now it's main event time here in the O2 Arena in London, a rematch between two of the great flyweights of the FCBA and BBU clash for the second time in their careers, in 2019 Hayden knocked out Cheryl in seven rounds, can home field advantage help Cheryl get revenge?
Hayden comes into this fight with just one defeat in her last fight fives, compared to two defeats in her last five for Cheryl, the odds say that Hayden should win but the one thing you never doubt about Cole is her ability to overcome.
The fighters in the build up got a chance to come face to face at the press conference, coming on the stage at opposite sides, their pictures hang on banners from the rafters, the fighters stepping to the center of the stage, fists up as they pose for the cameras, eyes piercing through their rivals eyes as they show there is no love here.
Separating to opposite sides of the stage, a podium is placed at the center, with Hayden asked to give her thoughts first on the fight, she steps up to the podium wearing a white dress with matching heels, she shakes her head as she says "I thought I was done with the Geordie power crap, here we are again after I beat her" Cheryl sneering at her, fists clenched as it looks like she wants a piece of Hayden now.
"Since I have to beat her once again then I am pleased it's in England, she can't hide behind any excuses when I knock her out, hopefully this time it sinks in that she just isn't at my level and never will be" adds Hayden as she looks over at Cheryl, as if making sure her point sinks in.
It's Coles turn at the podium wearing a black dress with matching heels, she shakes her head as she replies "I can't believe that you can be such a mouthy cow pet, it's funny how you've went down hill since you left boring old Wlad isn't it?" Hayden looking furious at the comment about her ex husband Wladimir Klitschko.
That sets off Hayden as the heels come off, Cheryl not one to turn down a chance to rip out hair does the same as they charge each other, snarling venomous insults as hair gets yanked, down they go after a trip by Cheryl, coaches Virginia Madsen and Melanie Brown rushing to break them up, struggling as both fighters look ready to settle things now.
Once they are broken apart with a few kicks landing for good measure to their opponent, both are led off the stage as still they scream insults and to be left to fight on the stage, the crowd of journalists all smiling as they have their headline for their publications.
Fight night, out first comes Hayden with Virginia behind her, she gets a mixed response from the fans, she doesn't bat an eyelid to all that as she looks focused on fighting Cheryl, she is wearing a white sports bra with yellow trim, matching trunks and shoes, yellow gloves, while her hair is tied back with a yellow ribbon into a ponytail.
Getting into the ring, Hayden jogs straight to her corner, where she bangs her gloves together as she paces side to side, no need for a pep talk as the mention of her ex is clearly enough motivation for her.
Now out comes Cheryl with Melanie beside her, she gets a loud cheer as she begins to march down the aisle, banging her black gloves together as she heads to the ring, she is wearing an England shirt with her surname then 1 underneath.
Which comes off after she gets into the ring, revealing a black sports bra, black and white striped trunks, black boots with white trim, while her hair is also in a ponytail, she stares right across the ring at Hayden with hands on hips.
Referee brings them to the center, smartly staying between them as the rules are read out, no touch of gloves when asked to, this is a grudge fight pure and simple, once they are in their corners and everything is ready, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.
Round 1:
"Ding!" At the bell both women rush out their corners to the center, trading several stiff shots right away as it is a scruffy affair, heads nearly clashing as they look to show their rival whose the boss in the opening moments of the round, cross punches stinging cheeks as they fight in close range.
An uppercut catches Hayden to push her onto her heels, Cheryl pounding in a follow up one-two combo square into the face of the blonde fighter, who finds herself being herded around the outside of the ring, Cheryl not making much headway through that guard as Panettiere shows off her defensive skills, catching Cole with a counter left after slipping a jab.
After a tense opening minute, Cheryl lands a left across the face of Hayden after leaning out the way of an overhand right, a double jab follows with a straight as the crowd are roaring each time Cheryl is landing flush, Hayden retreating back as Cheryl is looking relentless so far in her pursuit.
Less then a minute to go when Hayden catches Cole with an uppercut to knock her back a step, the Geordie a little too aggressive there, leading to the blonde being able to fire back now, drilling into the body of Cheryl, who gives her a shove to open up the gap between them.
Like the start of the round they go toe to toe as the fans are on their feet, when the bell rings both just about hold back, though they share a look that almost says "try it" before deciding better of it, returning to their corners clearly pumped up for a war tonight.
Round 2:
Coming back out looking to push their opponent back early on, again it is a fiery exchange to kick things off, cheeks already starting to mark up as they land little flurries, then get caught with a cross punch before being smacked back.
Moving back out the way of a left cross, Hayden dips a little to rip in two hooks to the body, a right clips her brow but Panettiere doesn't move too far back as she lands a straight onto the chin of Cole to knock her head back, then an overhand left smacks the brunette to her jaw.
It's Coles turn to be pressed back, Hayden swinging in more hooks to the body then Cheryl did in her position, using little nudges to push back Cheryl so she can't set, annoying the English lass as Cheryl snarls out as she throws back with cross punches.
Less then a minute to go with Cole being hassled around the ring, Cheryl gives Hayden a shove to the face with her left, then slams in a right hook to her jaw to turn her head, the crowd back on its feet as Cheryl begins to put her punches back together, driving back Hayden behind her guard.
When the round ends Cheryl mouths "f**k" as she knows that didn't go so well for her like the opener, Mel telling her to keep relaxed as they chat, Hayden fist bumps Virginia as the coach is happier with her work there.
Round 3:
Back at it they go, almost magnetised to get in close to start, bodying up as they use their shoulders to try to muscle each other back, all the while landing short digging punches to the body, along with some sneaky punches into breasts to make both fighters hiss.
After a minute of this close range brawling, Cheryl uses her left to give a little nudge to Hayden, enough to open up space for a right hook under her left eye, then a clipping left to the ear of the spitfire blonde, who backs off as Cheryl comes firing at her head.
Learning her lesson from the opening round, Cole is mixing it up more, landing some hard digs into the abs of Panettiere, while Hayden is landing single punches out her guard to stop Cheryl completely running right through her.
Final thirty seconds sees Hayden dip down to shove Cheryl back with her left forearm, an overhand right lands on the jaw of Cole to turn her head as Hayden comes to life, pounding her back onto the ropes, a mixture of boos and cheers as Hayden works away on the inside till the bell rings.
There's a shoving contest started by Cheryl looking pissed off at being caught out there, referee stepping in to cool things down as these two women simply hate each other, returning to their corners after a few nasty words, coaches needing to cool them off.
Round 4:
Both women are really going at it to start this round, no real defence as they swing hard shots, ending up clinched up after both miss and fall into each other, nearly tripping up onto the ropes as the referee struggles to break them up, warning them to keep this boxing.
As Cheryl goes to rush Hayden, the smaller woman ducks a wild left as she digs in two short uppercuts to the body, then an overhand left to the ear of Cole to make her stumble back a step, Hayden quick to close the distance to bang away to the body of Cheryl as she presses her into her own corner.
Where Mel is yelling at Cheryl to fight or clinch but not to stay stuck there, Cheryl tries to fight out the situation, problem for her is Hayden can load up more on her punches, causing Cole to hang onto Panettiere to force the referee to break them up, understandably Cheryl looks annoyed to say the least when they are broken up.
When they resume Cheryl lands a double jab as they catch Hayden to her face as she tries to close that gap, the final forty seconds seeing her work on the move as she doesn't want to be caught out again, at the bell both fighters stare each other down before they turn back to their heels.
Round 5:
After a talking to by Melanie as she can see Cheryl is letting her emotions get to her, leading to Cheryl using her jab more as they fight around the center of the ring, catching Hayden onto her nose with a one-two combo to make the blonde have to think about coming forwards.
Hayden manages to slip under a jab to work in three short hooking body shots, making Cheryl groan out as she ends up pressed to the ropes, clinching up with Hayden, there's some dirty boxing with Cheryl landing a few rabbit punches to Hayden's kidney shots, referee giving both a warning when they are broken apart.
Trading stiff straight shots when they resume, Hayden dips down to close the gap, instead she takes a left across her brow as Cheryl times her beautifully, it looks like "Geordie Power" is starting to build up a head of steam as she pounds in another flush jab/straight combo to drive back Hayden, who now has some blood trickling from a cut on the bridge of her nose.
Taking the center of the ring, Cheryl is bashing back Hayden each time the blonde comes at her, several furious exchanges end with Panettiere getting caught across that cut on her nose, Cheryl this time bullying back Hayden onto the ropes with short digging punches to her abs.
At the bell it's a strong round for Cole, who looks deadly serious as she stays standing, the crowd chanting "Geordie Power!" As Hayden looks around miffed before sitting on her stool, Virginia working on stopping the bleeding of her cut.
Round 6:
Hayden comes out digging to the body of Cheryl, with punches slamming across her head, fighting in close as they trade hard shots, both barking and groaning in effort as try to bully each other back.
A shove opens up a gap between them, Cheryl stepping back as Hayden swings in an overhand right, AN UPPERCUT LANDS ON THE CHIN OF HAYDEN TO MAKE HER FALL ONTO HER KNEES!
The crowd are chanting Cheryl's name as she walks to the neutral corner, eyes locked firmly on Hayden, 1...2...3.. Hayden shakes her head as she stares at the canvas, 4...5...6.. Hayden pushing up to her right foot, 7...8.. Getting up to her feet as she bangs her gloves together before lifting them up, showing she is OK.
They fight on with Cheryl going for the kill, Hayden blocking as much as she can, several punches getting through to knock her head back as Cheryl is like a rock em sock em robot, Panettiere hanging onto her to stop the assault she is under, referee needed to pry them apart.
Less then twenty seconds to go, Cheryl misses with a left hook as Hayden sees it coming, an overhand right smacks Cheryl onto her ear, with the actress slamming in two short left hooks to the body as she drives Cole onto the ropes, the bell rings with Hayden getting in two free digs before the referee can pull her off Cheryl, coaches rushing into the ring as they see this is going to break down, Cheryl wanting to get around the referee as she didn't appreciate the punches after the bell, both calming down enough to return to their stools.
Round 7:
Cheryl is looking to end things early this round, landing several good clean punches that reopen the cut on Hayden's nose, she misses with a left cross though as Hayden sidesteps to the right, landing a counter left to the chin of the brunette to show her legs are not gone yet.
A missed right cross by Cole leads to her eating a counter right into her solar plexus, an overhand left slams into her jaw afterwards to send sweat flying as Hayden begins to drive her backwards, crowding Cole into a neutral corner as she looks to pay her back for the last round.
Pushing back Hayden, Cheryl does a good job with using her straight punches into the face of the blonde, opening up more blood from the cut on her nose, making Hayden grit her mouthpiece not to groan out loudly as she looks for openings to land her heavier blows.
At the half way point Hayden feints with a jab, dipping under a left hook as she hammers in two right hooks under the ribs of her opponent, then lands another overhand left to the cheek of Cole, which is starting to swell as Cheryl ends up pinned onto the ropes.
Hayden banging away with short digging punches before going for uppercuts, one lands through the guard of Cheryl to her chin, making her hang onto Panettiere, referee giving them a chance to work out of it, is needed though to split them apart.
The round ends with Hayden making a strong statement that she isn't going away so easily, Cheryl thudding her gloves together as she returns to her corner, annoyed that she hasn't been able to stop her rival by now.
Round 8:
Looking to get back in the hot seat, Cheryl comes out open as she tries to stop Hayden with hooks, A MISSED LEFT HOOK LEADS TO CHERYL GETTING HIT WITH AN OVERHAND RIGHT TO THE BACK OF CHERYL'S EAR, A LEFT HOOK THEN SENDS CHERYL DOWN TO HER BACK!
That has silenced the crowd somewhat as Hayden marches to the neutral corner with eyes full of fire, 1...2...3.. Cheryl looks up shaking her head, trying to clear her vision, 4...5...6.. She gets onto all fours as she turns over her left side, 7...8.. Getting to her feet with a little wobble, Cheryl raises her gloves saying "f**king bring her on" to get the crowd noise back.
On comes Hayden without needing the invite, getting held onto though as she muscles Cheryl onto the ropes, crowd rallying behind Cheryl as she still has half the round to go, referee splitting them up when the rabbit punches fly in.
Once apart Cheryl is starting to catch Hayden out with some counters of her own, then a big turning point as Hayden misses with an overhand left, a counter right lands across her brow, opening a gash that has Hayden crying out, a jab/straight then lands on it as Hayden is backpedaling.
Blood is running into Hayden's eye but she can't wipe it away as Cheryl is like a shark, A RIGHT HOOK WOBBLES BACK HAYDEN AS IT CRASHES ONTO HER CHIN, WITH A FOLLOW UP LEFT UPPERCUT/RIGHT HOOK COMBO LANDING ON THE BUTTON TO SEND HAYDEN'S GUMSHIELD FLYING AS SHE GETS TURNED AROUND AND LANDS FLAT ON HER FACE!
The crowd is going nuts as Cheryl raises her blood stained gloves in the air, staring hatefully at her rival as the referee has to shove her away to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Hayden isn't moving as blood runs to the canvas, 5...6...7.. Her head turns slightly to the right, 8...9...10 but beyond that she is out cold!

What a highlight reel knockout in one of the rounds of the year, Cheryl turns to the crowd with a cocky grin on her face, before she marches over to Hayden, pressing her right hook into the back of the beaten fighter as she yells "maybe you should give Wlad a call to give you boxing lessons again! Lord knows you need them pet!" Grinding her foot in as the referee asks her to leave Hayden alone.
Instead Virginia does it herself with a shove to Cheryl, screaming "get off her you silly little s**t!" Melanie rushing in to hold back Cheryl as she looks ready for another fight, the gloves tossed off by Cole as she yells at Virginia to bring it.
Calmed down by Melanie as she is taken back to her corner, Cheryl tells Mel "I am so ready to win a title here" Melanie beaming at that as she pats her fighter on her back, Cheryl definitely has the fans on board here as they chant "there's only one Cheryl Cole!" Making her laugh as she blows kisses to them.
All the while Panettiere has come around and has been washed down, she shakes her head as she tries to get up herself, stumbling as her legs are like jelly, the ring side doctor helping her to her stool for tests, Hayden still looks buzzed as she tries to claim she is OK.
It's decided it is probably best for Hayden to get her out the ring for further tests, she looks a mess but she fought her heart out and was so close to winning it, emotions looked to get the better of her tonight, never count Hayden out making another run to the top.
Cheryl sees Hayden leaves and waves her away like a bad smell, heading to the center of the ring, Cheryl gets her right hand raised by the referee to the delight of her fans, she goes on a lap of honour afterwards as this is her night.
The former BBU champion steps out of the ring, carrying her gloves knotted together over her right shoulder, smiling as she heads up the ramp, surely she can't be far off the title hunt now after this impressive win, though surely a third go round with Hayden will also be in her future.

The crowd are chanting Cheryl's name as she walks to the neutral corner, eyes locked firmly on Hayden, 1...2...3.. Hayden shakes her head as she stares at the canvas, 4...5...6.. Hayden pushing up to her right foot, 7...8.. Getting up to her feet as she bangs her gloves together before lifting them up, showing she is OK.
They fight on with Cheryl going for the kill, Hayden blocking as much as she can, several punches getting through to knock her head back as Cheryl is like a rock em sock em robot, Panettiere hanging onto her to stop the assault she is under, referee needed to pry them apart.
Less then twenty seconds to go, Cheryl misses with a left hook as Hayden sees it coming, an overhand right smacks Cheryl onto her ear, with the actress slamming in two short left hooks to the body as she drives Cole onto the ropes, the bell rings with Hayden getting in two free digs before the referee can pull her off Cheryl, coaches rushing into the ring as they see this is going to break down, Cheryl wanting to get around the referee as she didn't appreciate the punches after the bell, both calming down enough to return to their stools.
Round 7:
Cheryl is looking to end things early this round, landing several good clean punches that reopen the cut on Hayden's nose, she misses with a left cross though as Hayden sidesteps to the right, landing a counter left to the chin of the brunette to show her legs are not gone yet.
A missed right cross by Cole leads to her eating a counter right into her solar plexus, an overhand left slams into her jaw afterwards to send sweat flying as Hayden begins to drive her backwards, crowding Cole into a neutral corner as she looks to pay her back for the last round.
Pushing back Hayden, Cheryl does a good job with using her straight punches into the face of the blonde, opening up more blood from the cut on her nose, making Hayden grit her mouthpiece not to groan out loudly as she looks for openings to land her heavier blows.
At the half way point Hayden feints with a jab, dipping under a left hook as she hammers in two right hooks under the ribs of her opponent, then lands another overhand left to the cheek of Cole, which is starting to swell as Cheryl ends up pinned onto the ropes.
Hayden banging away with short digging punches before going for uppercuts, one lands through the guard of Cheryl to her chin, making her hang onto Panettiere, referee giving them a chance to work out of it, is needed though to split them apart.
The round ends with Hayden making a strong statement that she isn't going away so easily, Cheryl thudding her gloves together as she returns to her corner, annoyed that she hasn't been able to stop her rival by now.
Round 8:
Looking to get back in the hot seat, Cheryl comes out open as she tries to stop Hayden with hooks, A MISSED LEFT HOOK LEADS TO CHERYL GETTING HIT WITH AN OVERHAND RIGHT TO THE BACK OF CHERYL'S EAR, A LEFT HOOK THEN SENDS CHERYL DOWN TO HER BACK!
That has silenced the crowd somewhat as Hayden marches to the neutral corner with eyes full of fire, 1...2...3.. Cheryl looks up shaking her head, trying to clear her vision, 4...5...6.. She gets onto all fours as she turns over her left side, 7...8.. Getting to her feet with a little wobble, Cheryl raises her gloves saying "f**king bring her on" to get the crowd noise back.
On comes Hayden without needing the invite, getting held onto though as she muscles Cheryl onto the ropes, crowd rallying behind Cheryl as she still has half the round to go, referee splitting them up when the rabbit punches fly in.
Once apart Cheryl is starting to catch Hayden out with some counters of her own, then a big turning point as Hayden misses with an overhand left, a counter right lands across her brow, opening a gash that has Hayden crying out, a jab/straight then lands on it as Hayden is backpedaling.
Blood is running into Hayden's eye but she can't wipe it away as Cheryl is like a shark, A RIGHT HOOK WOBBLES BACK HAYDEN AS IT CRASHES ONTO HER CHIN, WITH A FOLLOW UP LEFT UPPERCUT/RIGHT HOOK COMBO LANDING ON THE BUTTON TO SEND HAYDEN'S GUMSHIELD FLYING AS SHE GETS TURNED AROUND AND LANDS FLAT ON HER FACE!
The crowd is going nuts as Cheryl raises her blood stained gloves in the air, staring hatefully at her rival as the referee has to shove her away to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Hayden isn't moving as blood runs to the canvas, 5...6...7.. Her head turns slightly to the right, 8...9...10 but beyond that she is out cold!

After:
What a highlight reel knockout in one of the rounds of the year, Cheryl turns to the crowd with a cocky grin on her face, before she marches over to Hayden, pressing her right hook into the back of the beaten fighter as she yells "maybe you should give Wlad a call to give you boxing lessons again! Lord knows you need them pet!" Grinding her foot in as the referee asks her to leave Hayden alone.
Instead Virginia does it herself with a shove to Cheryl, screaming "get off her you silly little s**t!" Melanie rushing in to hold back Cheryl as she looks ready for another fight, the gloves tossed off by Cole as she yells at Virginia to bring it.
Calmed down by Melanie as she is taken back to her corner, Cheryl tells Mel "I am so ready to win a title here" Melanie beaming at that as she pats her fighter on her back, Cheryl definitely has the fans on board here as they chant "there's only one Cheryl Cole!" Making her laugh as she blows kisses to them.
All the while Panettiere has come around and has been washed down, she shakes her head as she tries to get up herself, stumbling as her legs are like jelly, the ring side doctor helping her to her stool for tests, Hayden still looks buzzed as she tries to claim she is OK.
It's decided it is probably best for Hayden to get her out the ring for further tests, she looks a mess but she fought her heart out and was so close to winning it, emotions looked to get the better of her tonight, never count Hayden out making another run to the top.
Cheryl sees Hayden leaves and waves her away like a bad smell, heading to the center of the ring, Cheryl gets her right hand raised by the referee to the delight of her fans, she goes on a lap of honour afterwards as this is her night.
The former BBU champion steps out of the ring, carrying her gloves knotted together over her right shoulder, smiling as she heads up the ramp, surely she can't be far off the title hunt now after this impressive win, though surely a third go round with Hayden will also be in her future.
