TESS VALMORE (I’m too humble to use the term “Queen of the FCBA Press,” even if it is true)
There were five fights on this Set for Summer PPV, but I bet not many spectators remember but one. It was the mammoth. “Best of Seven” bout between Kate Upton and Taylor Swift. A spectacular thirteen round fight to a knockout. It’s hard to believe that this fight went nine rounds without a knockdown and this was a real fight, not a ‘you tap me light and I will do the same” type of fight. Swift scored the first knockdown in the tenth. Upton came back to put Taylor on her back in the eleventh. Upton went down again in the twelfth and Swift was close to the win, but it was not to be. Upton beat the count. In the thirteenth, Upton caught Swift with a Thunderous uppercut and the fight was over and Upton was declared the “Alpha Blonde” Some will say, “true, Kate is the Alpha Blonde of this generation, but the true Alpha Blonde, is Charlize Theron, The greatest blonde of all time”. I doubt it’s an argument that many will pursue
Oh Yeah, there were four other fights. Katherine McNamara took care of Anna Kendrick in five. It’s a good win for Katherine although I doubt it will be much help in the rankings where she is already ranked at eight.
Emily DiDonato took longer than I expected to get rid of Palvin. She got the KO in the seventh. This was nothing more than a warm up for Emily’s big title fight against Kendall Jenner in the upcoming PPV
Hannah Davis knocked out Lucy Pinder in the sixth to no one’s surprise. I actually thought I had predicted the bouts on this card, but the board shows that I did not. Good intentions shot to hell.
I thought Brie Larson’s win over Elizabeth Olsen was an upset. Olsen was the number one bantam per Boxing World and Larson was ranked at eleven. This loss will cost Olsen a title match and my well give Larson one instead.
