Saoirse is, however, shaking her head at the other end of the table at the constant mispronunciation of her name. The Irish-American actress hasn’t seen much action these past few years but when she has, it’s been spectacular, making us wonder why and how she hasn’t been signed to a stable just yet.
“I have the same kind words to say about Emma - she’s a talented actress and honestly, someone I aspired to be when I was just starting out in my own career. Now that we’re facing off on opposite sides in the ring, I’m as eager to test my abilities against her. Regardless of who wins, I’d bet it’s gonna be one hell of a fight!”

Saorise makes a stand in the very first round, blocking most of Emma’s jabs and then firing back with stiff but swift jabs of her own that catch Emma clean on her face. The Vixen’s getting surprised in there early tonight as her punches bounce off the arms and guard, and before she knows it, she’s getting more leather stuffed into her lips as Saoirse effectively counter-punches her right back. A taste of Watson’s own medicine as once upon a time, Watson herself was known as a wiley counter-fighter before she got a taste of her own aggression. Last minute and Emma’s forced back into a pattern of trading- abs as she finally scores a couple of shots to Saoirse’s face, but the damage from earlier has been done, giving the Irish actress the first lead wide.
ROUND 2:
When Emma shows a little more focus on her attacks, however, they start to bear fruit: Saoirse’s grunting as her cheek gets bunched up a couple of times, as Emma parries her shots from afar before using her own impressive reach to snug some leather up close, an uppercut dinging the chin in the midst of the chaos even, which sends Ronan stumbling back in a daze. Smirk of approval from Watson as the Brit continues to harry her foe for the rest of the round, some overconfidence shown there but it’s enough of a show for Saoirse to retreat and retract for the rest of the round, holding her head up in a hole behind whole arms as she suffers the onslaught till the bell. Wide round swings right back to Watson, who manages to even the odds.
ROUND 3:
Saoirse makes her power known early on, however, as she counter WHAPS a hook into the side of Emma’s head, which sends her reeling. Emma had tries to block it with a raised arm, but that Irish slugging power is on full display as Saorise throws more big haymakers out of the blue, which scare Watson off after the first minute of exchanges. Watson trying to salvage the operation with more defensive jabbing to the face, but Ronan not taking any of this insolence this time, keeping her guard up high as she rushes in repeatedly to bang hooks off the Brit’s pale tummy, before rocking her hard with a lasting swipe across the arms. Bell rings and both girls are breathing hard, but it’s Ronan’s turn to win it close with that epic gamble from earlier.
ROUND 4:
Back-and-forth we go and this time, Watson keeps herself far and away, flinching at the first sign of Ronan-aggression and flicking her jabs at her head. Saoirse tries a couple of rushes again but they’re not as effective when your opponent is now anticipating them. Here, Watson manages to squeeze off a couple of stiff punches that crunch into the Irish actress’ nose and lips, another one-two combo sent straight into the body mid-round that further frustrates Saoirse’s plans to bully. The Irish fighter has no choice but to fall back into a defensive pattern, trading jabs with her counterpart from afar as the round winds back down in the Vixen’s favour.
ROUND 5:
So far, this fight has been a balanced affair, with both ladies having scored on each other, and continued to one-up their foe’s tactics. Ronan looks for an opening early, arms loose and bouncing, ready to strike like a white-haired serpent. Watson doing the same here, and the first minute sees punches traded both ways as both ladies score to the face, snapping each other’s heads back before blocking fast and whipping out counter-swings. Neither girl wants to fully commit, however, and the round winds down to an effective draw, with Emma and Saoirse left circling each other for the majority of the rest of the round. These two might be more similar than they realise, and even though Emma usually fights at Flyweight, she’s doing much better than expected in this move up the weight ladder.
ROUND 6:
Emma storms in early in the sixth, probably at the advice of her corner to try and finish Saoirse off. It works at the start, with Ronan forced into an unexpected retreat as she fends off wild and plentiful blows that are raining down upon her. Emma lets out a shout of triumph as she connects with a straight combo aimed at the head, another smacking into the body, just pouring in the abuse, before she wobbles Saoirse late with a hook slammed into the side of her head. But each time, Ronan stays focused and recovers rapidly. And down to the last minute, it’s Watson who has run out of breath as she struggles to maintain her momentum. Slowly but surely, Ronan’s fighting back, returning a hook of her own that’s swiped across the Vixen’s face, drawing a loud gurgle and gasp. The Irishwoman ducks under another wide swing that’s sent over her head before Ronan PACKS a glove right into the base of Emma’s chin, and DOWN THE BRIT GOES!! Wow-zer!! Watson gets LAID OUT on the canvas, eyes blinking rapidly in shock upwards at the ceiling lights, as Saoirse scores the first KNOCKDOWN of the evening! Pain in the eyes of the VIX corner as they realise their former champion isn’t getting off her back this time - the referee’s doing his diligence as he finally hits the count of 10! It’s all OVER in upset KO6 fashion!

Tears of joy from Ronan’s corner as she arguably scores the biggest win of her career thus far! The platinum blonde throws up her hands, a big smile breaking over her face as she runs back to her corner in elation, flying into the arms of her trainers and teammates. A BIG win indeed for Saoirse as she proves to the naysayers that she still has what it takes to win, even as a Free Agent. Meanwhile, Emma looks crestfallen by the ropes, her chest still heaving, dirty blonde hair disheveled around her face, and her dreams of making a comeback title run lying dashed with this upset loss.
“She thought I would be a walk-over,” Saoirse beams to reporters later by ring-side. “That’s what Emma thought, but she assumed wrong. C’mon, boys and girls - who’s brave enough to sign me up to make some waves? I knocked out Emma, and I bet your arse I can do the same to any other girl.”
