Tess Valmore
I present this month’s edition of my ridiculed predictions. As usual it is littered with unflattering comments, cheap shots and unjustified criticism In the last month’s predictions I went 39-10 running my total to 2543-783 or 77% correct.
ALLAN/A.BURKE. Allan has had three fights thus far winning them all against mediocre competition, which is OK since she is a newbie. Burke is making her FCBA debut. She has been fighting in the BBU for eleven years and has a 3-17 record. She has lost her last eight with her last win being in March 2012. This is a bout designed for Allan to win. I think she will
K.HAYWARD/HERBERT Hayward made her FCBA debut last month losing to Sidney Sweeney. This is Herbert’s FCBA debut. She has had one fight which was a tag team fight in the BBU which she lost. I have to go with Hayward
ISEMAN/EDWARDS. Iseman has had three fights winning them all against newcomer competition. Edwards is making her FCBA debut after fighting in the BBU for eight years not very successfully. She has a 4-10 record and has lost six of her last seven. Iseman will make it seven losses out of the last eight.
BLOODGOOD/THERON. I am prohibited from predicting Theron fights.
SWEENEY/A.DIXON. Sweeney won her first fight of the year and now has a 5-1 record with a win over Lovato and a loss to Demi Rose, who she beat in a return match. Dixon is now 42. She has a 41-33 record in the BBU. Her FCBA record can only be termed as a disaster. Her record in the US is 5-30. She has lost eight of her last ten. Sweeney will win
DYER/RAMIREZ. Dyer has a 7-6 record and was 5-4 last year, She has fought some good competition in Emma Watson, Lily Collins and Jessica Lowndes, bouts that she lost. Ramirez has a 4-3 record. In her first fight of the year she pulled a big upset beating Michelle Willians. I have to go with Ramirez based on her performance against Williams
J,KING/BECKY G. Joey King has a 6-4 record with average competition. She lost her last two bouts of last year to Benson and Bassinger. Becky G has a 7-6 record, She lost her first fight of this year to Cheryl Cole. This seems to be a good matchup, however King has a 3 1/2 inch height advantage. I going to have to go with height.
MICHELLE WILLIAMS/V.HUDGENS. This is one of the best rivalries going at present The two have fought eleven times with Williams holding a 6-5 lead. Hudgens has won six of her last ten. Williams is won seven of her last ten. Hudgens is eight years younger, but Williams is two inches taller. Both are in the Hall Of Fame. I’m going to have to go with Williams.
PORTMAN/MONER. Portman is a member of the Hall Of Fame and at the age of 39, is still going strong. She has won seven of her last ten after losing to McNamara in her first bout of the year. Moner is an up and coming flyweight, who has won six of her last ten with her losses being to Michelle Williams, Vanessa Hudgens, Lily Collins and Olivia Holt. She twenty years younger than Portman but is three inches smaller. I’m going to go with Portman ,but won’t be surprised is Moner wins
CHOPRA/LIND. Lind has a 17-10 career record, but eleven of her bouts have seen at JMD. Her record is much better in JMD fights than conventional bouts. Chopra has a 17-16 record and has lost five of her last ten. I think she has been a disappointment. She is now 38, just one year younger than her stablemate Portman and 2 years younger than Williams and she is seventeen years older than her opponent. She really needs to win this fight. I think she will.
R.B.SMITH/MCMANN. THIS IS A MISMATCH. Smith has a 2-8 record. McMann has 8-1 record, is nine years younger and two inches taller. If I am not mistaken I think Smith is the one who wanted this bout. She will regret it
BARNES/DEL TORO. Barnes is an American who started out in the BBU. She has had three FCBA bouts losing all three. She’s a lightweight, but two of her losses were to bantams. Del Toro has had eight fights winning all eight with seven of her wins coming before the end of the fifth. She has fought only one fighter with a winning record. Despite her poor opposition, I will go with McMann
M.MOORE/CORRIN Moore is a veteran with a 31-40 record. She is a three time United Welterweight champion. She seems to be slowing down and has lost seven of her last ten. Corrin has had only one fight which she won beating Rossum, who has a losing record. Corrin is a little too ambitious. Moore will win
S.CARTER/MORETZ Carter is a member of the Hall Of Fame and a three time flyweight champion. She is now 40 and age may be beginning to take its toll. She has lost five of her last six, although to good fighters Moretz had a good year last year going 5-2 against average fighters. Moretz is twenty-three years younger than Carter. I’m going to take a chance on youth. Moretz hands Carter another loss
BENSON/MONREAL. Benson was 3-3 last year with two of those wins being over Joey King. She has lost seven of her last ten Monreal broke in last year having one fight, which she won. Benson is an average fighter with lots of experience. I like the experience factor. Benson will win
D.CAMPBELL/VANZANT. Campbell didn’t have a good year last year losing four of six bouts and she 5-5 in her last ten. VanZant is moving up the food chain after having four fights and winning them all. She’s a blond also. I going to say VanZant will win
BELLISARIO/QUALLEY Bellisario won her first bout of the year beating Winnick. She was 3-4 last year and was 5-5 in her last ten This will be Qualley’s debut. She is going against a former champion and a veteran fighter. Chalk it up to a learning experience. Bellisario wins
LAWLEY/KHLOE KARDASHIAN. Lawley is the biggest fighter in the FCBA standing 6’2”/. That has not translated into a winning record. She is 11-12 for her career and has lost her last six. Kardashian is four inches shorter and has a 4-8 career record. She has lost five of her last six. I’m going to take a chance on Lawley
MCCARTHY/BECKINSALE. This is the third bout in a series of five. The two have split the first two. This will be Beckinsale’s 101st fight. She is short of wins. Beckinsale needs to win this fight in the worst way. Beckinsale has won eight of her last ten. This will be McCarthy’s 140th fight which is more fights than some in the Hall Of Fame. Unfortunately she has lost 68 and she has lost six of her last ten. I think I will risk Mac’s anger and predict that Beckinsale will win
PAUSINi/MUNN. Munn was recently signed by Sceej. This is reclamation project. She is 40 years old, In her early years she was a top bantam and held the Unified Bantam title in 2013. In 2017 her career suddenly collapsed..She lost her next fourteen. She broke in losing streak in January beating Frege. Despite losing fourteen straight she has a 32-31 record. Pausini is now 46. She has had 19 fights in the FCBA and lost them all. If Munn loses this fight I would have to say she has no further future in the FCBA and should retire. I go with Munn to win solely because I want her to stay around for awhile
BEER/JUSTICE. Justice is an average fighter on her way to nowhere. She has a 16-22 record and has lost seven of her last ten. Beer is twenty-one years old and has a career record of 7-3. Two of her losses were to Lavigne. Her wins were over average to below average fighters. I’ll take a chance on Beer. Don’t ask why? I don’t know
STRAHOVSKI/TELES. Strahovski isis in the Hall Of Fame. She has a 70-35 record and a five time lightweight champion. She had a 5-5 record last year losing two to Kendall Jenner. Teles broke in last year and had a 6-2 losing to DiDonato and Winstead She had wins over Peregrym and Lipa. This could be a good fight .I go with Strahovski. She’s blonde
GONZALES/LIVELY. Gonzales didn’t have a good year last year losing four of five. She has fought a tough schedule. Her losses last year were all to top ten lightweights. Lively also had a poor year going 3-4. All but one of her opponents was either a top ten lightweight or welter. The two have fought once before with Lively winning. She will repeat
WEAVING/LOTZ. Weaving is a refugee from the BBU ,who had a full first year in 2020. She had eight fights, winning four. She has been somewhat erratic beating Lynch and Kosarin,a but losing to Gardner and Cowan. Lotz has a 16-13 record and was 3-4 last year with her losses being to Olsen, Chopra and Kosarin I have to go with Weaving
ORRANTIA/VIKANDER. The last two years have been rough for Orrantia. She has lost eight of her last ten. Vikander has done a little better only losing six of her last ten. She has fought the better competition. It will serve her well. Vikander wins.
OLSEN/DOBREV. Olsen comes had a great year last year going 10-3 and won her first bout in 2021. Boxing World has her ranked at four in the bantams. She beat Lilly, Kosarin and Ratajkowski to name a few of her opponents. Her losses were to Bella Thorne, Demi Lovato and Mitchell. This will be Dobrev’s eightieth fight. She has a good chance of getting into the Hall Of Fame since she only needs to win 51% of her remaining twenty-one. She was 3-3 last year losing to Bella Thorne, Chopra and Scodelario. She needs to step it up in the amount of fights and competition. I think Olsen will be victorious
SWIFT/LIPA Tractorpull has Swift ranked at six in the lightweights and Lipa at nine. Swift was 15-8 last year while Lipa was 6-5. Lipa won her first bout of the year while Swift lost her first bout. Swift has a 53-26 record while Lipa comes in at 13-8 Lipa is twenty-five while Swift is thirty-one. Swift is three inches taller than her opponent.. I will go with Swift based on height and experience
DIDONATO/KENDALL JENNER. I have DiDonato ranked at four and Jenner at five in the lightweights. DiDonato was 12-5 last year and won her first bout of 2021. Jenner was 11-5 in 2020 and also won her first bout of this year. The two fought twice last year with DiDonato winning. Mr V will point out that I have said I never bet against Jenner. Well, times have changed. I have to go with DiDonato. but I well may regret betting against Jenner. DiDonato winning is far from a slam dunk
AGDAL/K.GALE. This is Gale’s FCBA debut. She is 13-4 in the BBU which once again tells me very little. She did beat Huntington-Whiteley in her BBU debut five years ago. Agdal had a so-so year winning seven against five losses. One of her losses was to Huntington-Whitley although it doesn’t mean much since the bout was five years after the Gale bout. Since I don’t know much about Gale, I will go with Agdal
E.WATSON/LOHAN Watson is ranked at five in the flyweights by Boxing World
Lohan is ranked at sixty-one which is probably too high. Lohan has lost thirteen of her last fourteen bouts. Does that give you an idea of how this bout is going to go. Lohan will not be the winner
GILLIES/REN (Body Saddle II) Gillies has a career record of 8-9 and has lost four of her last five. Ren has a record of 44-11 and has won eleven of her last thirteen. One of those losses happened to be in Body Saddle 1, at the hands of Gillies who knocked her out in the fifth. Can Gillies do it again. I don’t think so
Ren evens the count at one each going into the final between the two
KOSARIN/SCODELARIO. Scodelario has a 39-13 record and has won eight of her last twelve. Kosarin has a career record of 31-13. The two have fought twice before with Kosarin winning both. I see no reason to think that Kosarin would not win this fight. She will
RIGHETTI/LAWRENCE. Righetti is losing more than she used to but that doesn’t change my mind. I usually don’t bet against Righetti. She has fought and beat Lawrence twice. She will make it three
L.COLLINS/O.HOLT. For the flyweight title. This will be Collins fifth defense of the bantam crown. She’s on a seven fight winning streak. Holt has held the title once and has won eight of her last ten. She has fought Collins once before and beat her. I think she will end Collins reign and gain her second flyweight title
PALICKI/UPTON. For the welter title No need to say much about this bout. I have nothing against Upton, I like her but I really want to see Palicki win so I will predict she will..
