TESS VALMORE
This is this quarter’s pound for pound rankings. As usual with my top ten lightweight and welter rankings, I don’t pay as much attention to won and loss records as I do too who they fought and who they beat. Competition is the key for me. I am using the same pound for pound ranking format that is used in the BBU The rankings are based on the period from January 31, 2019 to January 31, 2021. Statistics were generously supplied by Girls Friday
1. KATE UPTON 20-5
2. ALEXIS REN 25-7
3. BELLA THORNE 16-4
4. LILY COLLINS 20-7
5. AMANDA RIGHETTI 21-4
6. EMMA WATSON 20-6
7. EMILY DIDONATO 22-6
8. TAYLOR SWIFT 28-9
9. KIRA KOSARIN 15-4
10 EMILY RATAJKOWSKI. 16-4
Flyweights 2 Bantamweights 3 Lightweights 3 Welterweights 2

Food for thought! Surely you would think that the reigning two-division light and welter champ could pinch a spot in the top ten P4P rankings, right? I certainly think she should. I'm surprised about Kendall Jenner missing...she's supposedly one of the fighters "you never bet against", but she's not good enough to make this ranking? Worthy of a discussion. I also think Bella Thorne's iron grip on the bantam title should leap her by the (momentarily) titleless (division titles, I mean) Upton and Ren. I'm ready to admit freely that seeing Lily Collins ranked ahead of Amanda R. in this sort of ranking startled me...but maybe I have an anti-flyweight bias? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Remember these ranking are done over a two year period for consistency. Champions over a two year period come and go. I like Palicki a lot, but her win was in the last two days of the period..I think you put too much emphasis on being champion. As is our top ten lightweights and welters we do not start with the champion. It's not the champion and the next ten. lt's the top ten. Often the champ is not the number one fighter in the division. Lawrence was the champion, but she was and is clearly not the best welterweight. I favor the lightweights and welters, but you have to consider how good or dominate fighters are in their divisions. Obviously Collins wouldn't have a chance against Amanda but she does quite well in her size group.. Jenner like Amanda is a fighter I don't like to bet against, but she did not have all that good of year when compared to Ren or DiDonato. Yes, some of my predictions go the way a expected

Yeah, Kendall missing from Top 10 p4p is totally strange - since she doesn't do JMD fights that are always the negative kicker for all what TP does.

No complaints for me. The top ten pound for pound is pretty exclusive and though things have been going great lately, no one knows more than me that I went through a dry spell too. Tess Valmore has always been supportive and fair to me, so as I said, even holding two belts - no issues form this girl. I DO hope that Tess can find a way to squeeze me into the welterweight top ten this time though (and yes, I KNOW you admitted it was an oversight but I get to be a little sassy, right?). ![](https://www.headcount.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/adrianne-palicki.png)

Yes, some of my predictions go the way a expected I know what you mean, of course. All of these girls are well deserving of a spot in the top ten, whatever their specific ranking. (For what it's worth, I don't think the points you make about a two-year span mattering and (recent) titles being less important turn that argument in Lily Collins' favour...)
