Intro:
The penultimate fight of the night sees two elite bantamweights fight it out, Selena Gomez has adapted to the division like a duck to water, Troian has always been one of the premier markers in the division, who will come out on top here in the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.
Form wise Selena has slightly the better results over this year, getting big wins over the likes of Kylie Jenner and Luisana Lopilato, Troian has wins over Vicky Pattison and Anya Chalotra to show she is still a force to be reckoned with on her day.
Coming into the fight, Alicia Atout got word from the fighters as they stepped into the arena from the red carpet outside, first inside was Selena wearing a red dress with black heels, along with coach Eva Mendes wearing a white dress with a denim blue jacket, both smiling as they give Alicia a nod.
Talking about this fight, Selena tells Alicia "tonight is about furthering my title ambitions, I've beaten some great fighters at this weight already, adding Troian to that list would be big for my career at this stage" Eva puts her right arm around Selena's shoulder as Selena speaks.
Eva then jumps in to say "I hope other bantamweights are starting to see the woman who is cutting through them, if they continue to sleep on Selena's progress then they might find themselves taking a nap on her way to the title" Selena all smiles hearing that, thanking Eva for her praise as the two Latinas seem to have formed a deeper bond since Selena moved up into the heavier division.
Shrugging her shoulders, Selena says "what more can I say?" With a laugh from all the women, both Lionesses give Alicia a hand shake before they head to their locker room to prepare for the fight.
Troian soon follows inside with her coach Nia Peeples, Troian is wearing a black figure hugging dress to go along with her heels, Nia wearing a navy blue dress with matching heels as the two Pretty Little Punchers are decked out to the nines for the red carpet.
After giving Alicia a hug, Troian tells her "it is great to be here in Thailand, I always love new experiences and getting to show all these fans my skills is such a rush, if I could I'd tell Selena to come back with a pair of gloves so we can box on the carpet" laughing as she looks in a great mood, Nia shakes her head with a beaming smile.
Asked how she is feeling fighting Selena, Troian replies "honestly I've had Selena on a list of opponents I'd love to fight for awhile, she is skillful and all action type of fighter, I know I am better then her but boy will this be a tough fight for me, I never hide from anyone" Nia nods in agreement at that.
Before Nia adds "as Troian says she wants the best, so once Selena is out the way, we hope some of those camping further up the rankings afraid to fight her will come to us, we are not hard to fight" Troian hugging Nia before the head off to their locker room.
Fighting time, out first comes Selena with Eva beside her, Selena is wearing a green bikini top, green shorts with white stripes up the sides, white gloves, bare foot, while her hair is tied into a ponytail, she looks serious as she heads down the aisle tapping her gloves together.
Once inside the ring she bows to each side to show her appreciation for the crowds cheers, settling into her corner not long after as she shadow boxes while Eva is giving her a pep talk that this is her night to shine.
Out comes Troian now with Nia beside her, she is wearing a white bikini top, white shorts with red stripes, red gloves, bare foot, her hair is in a ponytail too with a white ribbon, she looks a little more jovial of the fighters as she waves to the fans.
Climbing into the ring, Troian blows a few kisses to the crowd before going to her corner, banging her gloves together before she gets to warming up while Nia is telling her to put Selena's dreams of being a title contender out to pasture.
The fighters come to the ring center, both look respectful of the other as they stand listening to the instructions, bouncing on their toes as they nod along to the referee, the coaches are the ones who seem to be having a personal stare down, pride of their fighters and their own coaching abilities on their minds it seems.
When they are told to touch gloves, the fighters do so without incident as Troian even wishes Selena good luck, once they are back in their corners, the referee gets the notice that they are ready, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.
Round 1:
Stepping out their corners with a nod to each other, they start off by feeling each others defenses out, throwing single punches as they circle around the center, heads moving as both have a similar look to their stance.
The first to seemingly see a gap is Selena, who throws a jab into the body of her opponent, just missing with an uppercut as Troian steps back in time, countering with her own straight into the face of the Lioness Club fighter.
The opening minute is pretty much a stalemate as neither seems able to break down the others defences with any real big punches, mostly single punches at the route that is paying the most dividends.
Selena again tries to be the aggressor as she doesn't seem to have the patience of the former champion, darting forwards with a straight Troian slips before clubbing the side of Gomez's head with a left hook, an uppercut to the body makes Selena retreat back.
This time though Troian doesn't let her retreat so easily, banging in three punches to the face of her smaller opponent, she backs up Selena towards the ropes, where Selena is forced to cover up as Troian tries to smack her head off.
The remaining minute of the round sees Selena only able to fire a few punches back, she is firmly being outworked by Bellasario, up till the bell rings with Troian looking relaxed as she returns to her corner, showing how quickly she can capitalise on any mistake Selena makes.
Round 2:
Bumping fists with her coach Eva as she stands up, Selena is looking more aggressive from the off, more her normal style as she forces Troian into heated exchanges around the ring, Troian not looking too adverse to letting her hands go.
An overhand left smacks Troian on her cheek, with Selena getting right into her face with a well drilled body attack to drive the taller fighter into a corner, where Troian is groaning with each clean hit till she can shove Selena back to escape her predicament.
Keeping hunting down Troian, Selena is trying to keep the pressure on, problem is Troian picks her off with straight punches into her head, knocking it back and keeping her to the outside as the crowd is appreciating the faster action this round.
Before Bellasario can get too comfortable, she takes a jab to her abs then a right hook to the ribs, she hisses out as she backs off again, doubling up her jab to keep Selena from bullying her backwards.
The ropes though are stuck behind Troian as she tries moving side to side, Selena not being easily dissuaded to keep away, with more hooks flying in off both fighters, Gomez landing a beautiful left hook/uppercut combo to knock Troian onto the ropes.
Soon the round comes to a close with Selena walking to her corner with a little more swagger to her step, Eva pleased with her increased output as she was too docile in the first round for the coaches liking.
Round 3:
Throwing more jabs to try to keep the range more then the last round, Troian is staring hard at Selena, both women slapping in cross punches when they do edge into mid range, before Troian dances back with a double jab into the face of her opponent.
It looks like Bellasario is doing a great job at controlling the tempo more through the opening minute, though Selena is getting in some good combos when she can storm through the hailstorm of jabs coming at her head.
Ducking under a mistimed straight, Selena bangs in two quick fire hooks to the body, AS TROIAN TAKES A STEP BACK, SELENA THROWS AN UPPERCUT THAT SNAPS HER HEAD BACK, DOWN GOES TROIAN TO HER BACK!
The Gomez fans go wild as she pounds her chest with her right glove while heading to the neutral corner, 1...2...3... Troian sits up as she doesn't look too badly hurt, 4...5...6.. Pushing to a knee with a pissed off look that she got caught out like that, 7...8.. She stands up with fists raised to show she is OK to fight on.
The crowd roars as Selena goes for the knockout shot, Troian slipping her big hooks before countering with punches straight into the face of the aggressive Selena, proving it was a flash knockdown.
At the bell though Selena has the crowd on it's feet applauding her as she raises her arms in the air with a grin, Eva warning her not to focus on the crowd but on the tough fighter in her path, who is staring hard at her from across the ring.
Round 4:
Coming out her corner still on a high, Selena is stalking Troian around the ring, eyes like a predator hunting it's prey, Selena isn't rushing in as she is too experienced for that, especially as Troian has a mean jab that is still peppering the beautiful face of Selena.
Who manages to slip a jab to bang in an overhand left to the jaw of Bellasario, Selena is now on the inside bashing back Troian to the ropes with four clean punches that make the actress cry out as sweat flies off her, making Troian clinch up with her.
Once apart Troian does manage to knock back a charging Selena with a jab/straight to her face, moving away from the ropes so she isn't such an easy target, Troian doesn't look so comfortable in the ring right now though, the knockdown still lingering on her mind.
Which just ends up causing her to lose focus, Gomez making her pay with an straight into her mouth, followed by two chopping cross punches that turn her head side to side, Selena bullies back her opponent into a corner after with more of her body punching prowess.
Troian is trying to fight back but can't get out the corner, Nia yelling at her as they can only watch her get beaten back when she does start to get some momentum going, the bell rings to end the round with Selena all smiles as she is putting rounds together nicely here.
While back on her stool Troian is getting yelled at by Nia, whose wondering where her spirit has gone, Troian firmly nods as she thuds her gloves together after taking a deep breath to calm herself down, refocus herself for this battle.
Round 5:
This time Troian is taking a more proactive approach to the fight, both let their hands go as they throw quick fire combos into each others faces, sweat flies as they both grunt and groan out with each punch.
Troian lands a double jab to the nose of Selena to back her off, the singer covers up as now Bellasario is the one pushing the pace, trying to drive back Gomez around the outside, keeping her herded near the ropes as she takes the center.
It isn't easy to subdue Selena as she slips a jab to bang in a right to the body, an overhand left clips the jaw of Troian as she takes a step back, before Selena can get too comfortable on the inside, Troian lands two clubbing rights to the side of her head to back her off.
The action becomes a little more back and forth, Troian doing a good job of control the distance between them, Selena though isn't going to relinquish her momentum so easily after being on top the past few rounds.
Near the end of the round, Troian dances back out the way of a left hook to the body, hammering a straight to the left brow of her opponent, Troian then lands a left hook that turns Selena's head, with Bellasario slamming another three punch combo to her face to knock Selena back into a corner.
The bell rings with Troian coming out on top this round, staring hard at Selena to show her she ain't going away without a fight, the temperature between the fighters is definitely heating up as that competitive nature of both is showing itself by the looks they exchange from their stools.
Round 6:
Not looking worried as she dances out her corner, Selena is throwing a few more jabs to try to find new angles to strike from, knowing she let Troian off the hook the last round and back into this fight.
If Selena thought it was going to be easy to control Troian she finds out it isn't, getting pegged back each time she gets in closer, a right hook under the left eye of Selena makes her wince, with good reason as a small gash opens under it.
Troian seeing it begins to pepper that side of Selena's face with punches, both letting their hands go again at the center while planting their feet, the issue for Selena is that cut is like a bullseye that stings each time it is hit cleanly.
A right cross catches the cut to open a little more, Selena's guard dips as she hisses out, A LEFT HOOK TO HER JAW SENDS SELENA DOWN TO HER BACK! THE CROWD GOING NUTS AS THEY CAN'T BELIEVE THE TURN AROUND!
Troian doesn't celebrate as she heads to the neutral corner, eyes focused firmly on Selena as she keeps her fists up, 1...2...3...4.. Selena turns to all four with drops of blood dripping from that cut, 5...6...7... Selena pushes up to a knee with a hint of worry in her expression, 8... Getting to her feet with fists up, telling the referee "let me at her" showing bravado that might not be warranted.
On comes Troian as Selena is on her bike, Selena tries to catch Troian with an overhand right that finds air, instead the actress lands two punches in her face for her troubles, knocking back Gomez to the ropes.
When the bell rings the Lioness Club breath a sigh of relief, Selena gets that cut worked over by Eva, while Troian has her blood stained gloves on the top ropes, standing instead of sitting to show Selena whose the stronger now, the Troian fans in full voice now.
Round 7:
What a fight so far as Troian is now the predator, throwing jabs and straights as she tries to cut off the ring with her movement, Selena isn't in as trigger happy mood herself as she boxes more defensively.
When Troian does land clean with a double jab, it allows her to back up her opponent onto the ropes, Selena shielding her face so Troian smartly switches to the body with crunching body shots till she is pulled into a clinch.
The glistening fighters grind bodies in the grind, Troian trying to wear down Selena on the ropes, the referee needed to split them apart, give Selena a chance to get into space, where Troian is quick to keep the pressure on.
It's almost like Selena is afraid of her shadow at the moment, not wanting to open up in case that cut on her face gets worse, in case she gets put down again, her strategy is failing as Troian simply isn't letting her off the hook so easily.
Leading to Selena to keep clinging onto Troian, buying time to think of a way back into this fight after being so strong in the early going, Eva looking furious in her corner as she watches this unfold.
As the round ends Eva is quickly into the ring, pointing at Selena as she asks "where's the fighter I know?!" As she works on patching Selena up as her left eye is starting to swell, Eva is giving her a piece of her mind for being so passive.
Across the ring again Troian stays standing, Nia telling her how wonderful she is doing, she seems to be on top in every way, Troian nodding but looking focused on Selena, almost licking her lips at the thought of what she is going to do to Selena this coming round.
Round 8:
Nodding to Eva before she steps out her corner, Selena at least looks to have her fighting spirit back, next problem is kicking Troian's arse, a task not easily done as she is still taking some good clean punches to her while.
Backed up after a jab/straight combo, Selena retreats back as Bellasario hunts her down, ducking under a left cross to hammer in a right to the body of Troian, Selena then clubs her to the side of her head with an overhand left.
The fight moves back to the ring center as sweat and a little blood goes flying into the air, Troian doesn't seem able to shake off Selena, even missing with a right hook that earns her an uppercut to the body, which is reddening up.
A left hook catches Troian flush to the chin as she tries to step in, WITH AN UPPERCUT LANDING ON TROIAN'S CHIN TO ROCK THE HEAD BACK, A LEFT HOOK SMACKS DOWN TROIAN TO HER LEFT SIDE!
Walking to the neutral corner with a small grin, Selena gets a thumbs up from Eva, 1...2...3....4... Troian looks in bad shape as she rolls to her back, 5...6...7.. Staring at the ceiling with a glassy look on her face, 8...9...10 that's it for Bellasario!
Winner Selena Gomez KO Round 8
After:
A hell of a Topsy-Turvy fight, Selena looked like she had thrown this fight away after a strong start, finally she gets the knockout she craved, taking a knee as she feels this fight, Eva rushing in to help the victor to her feet.
Nia rushes in to check on Troian, helping her sit up as Troian blinks to clear her head, once her head is clear then Troian looks to the ceiling wondering what went wrong, she had taken the fight into her hands but dropped it at the most crucial time.
Getting cleaned up in their corners as they sit on their stools, both get round of applause from the crowd, showing their respect to the fighters after a hard fight that they'll be feeling for the weekend at least.
When they come to the ring center, both women embrace as they show no hints of malice, plenty of respect it seems garnered between them tonight as they joke about how they look after the fight, Selena gets her left hand raised as Troian gives her a clap to show her sportsmanship.
Heading out the ring, Troian has to be wondering what she needed to do to win this one, she needs to stamp out the mistakes that led to this loss before she this becomes a bad habit.
The winner meanwhile doesn't look much one with her swollen left eye and cut, she is beaming though as she smiles at the cameras while posing with her hands on her hips, another great win for the fast rising bantamweight.
She makes sure to give Eva a big hug for giving her some tough love that helped spur her on, admitting "if I didn't have you there when I down then I'd have lost for sure" Eva laughs as she replies "just doing my joke" to smiles from Selena.
The Lioness crew leaves the ring, all excited for Selena's future as the move up to bantamweight has been a success so far, how far can she go as she seeks a maiden title in a career of massive fights.

The action becomes a little more back and forth, Troian doing a good job of control the distance between them, Selena though isn't going to relinquish her momentum so easily after being on top the past few rounds.
Near the end of the round, Troian dances back out the way of a left hook to the body, hammering a straight to the left brow of her opponent, Troian then lands a left hook that turns Selena's head, with Bellasario slamming another three punch combo to her face to knock Selena back into a corner.
The bell rings with Troian coming out on top this round, staring hard at Selena to show her she ain't going away without a fight, the temperature between the fighters is definitely heating up as that competitive nature of both is showing itself by the looks they exchange from their stools.
Round 6:
Not looking worried as she dances out her corner, Selena is throwing a few more jabs to try to find new angles to strike from, knowing she let Troian off the hook the last round and back into this fight.
If Selena thought it was going to be easy to control Troian she finds out it isn't, getting pegged back each time she gets in closer, a right hook under the left eye of Selena makes her wince, with good reason as a small gash opens under it.
Troian seeing it begins to pepper that side of Selena's face with punches, both letting their hands go again at the center while planting their feet, the issue for Selena is that cut is like a bullseye that stings each time it is hit cleanly.
A right cross catches the cut to open a little more, Selena's guard dips as she hisses out, A LEFT HOOK TO HER JAW SENDS SELENA DOWN TO HER BACK! THE CROWD GOING NUTS AS THEY CAN'T BELIEVE THE TURN AROUND!
Troian doesn't celebrate as she heads to the neutral corner, eyes focused firmly on Selena as she keeps her fists up, 1...2...3...4.. Selena turns to all four with drops of blood dripping from that cut, 5...6...7... Selena pushes up to a knee with a hint of worry in her expression, 8... Getting to her feet with fists up, telling the referee "let me at her" showing bravado that might not be warranted.
On comes Troian as Selena is on her bike, Selena tries to catch Troian with an overhand right that finds air, instead the actress lands two punches in her face for her troubles, knocking back Gomez to the ropes.
When the bell rings the Lioness Club breath a sigh of relief, Selena gets that cut worked over by Eva, while Troian has her blood stained gloves on the top ropes, standing instead of sitting to show Selena whose the stronger now, the Troian fans in full voice now.
Round 7:
What a fight so far as Troian is now the predator, throwing jabs and straights as she tries to cut off the ring with her movement, Selena isn't in as trigger happy mood herself as she boxes more defensively.
When Troian does land clean with a double jab, it allows her to back up her opponent onto the ropes, Selena shielding her face so Troian smartly switches to the body with crunching body shots till she is pulled into a clinch.
The glistening fighters grind bodies in the grind, Troian trying to wear down Selena on the ropes, the referee needed to split them apart, give Selena a chance to get into space, where Troian is quick to keep the pressure on.
It's almost like Selena is afraid of her shadow at the moment, not wanting to open up in case that cut on her face gets worse, in case she gets put down again, her strategy is failing as Troian simply isn't letting her off the hook so easily.
Leading to Selena to keep clinging onto Troian, buying time to think of a way back into this fight after being so strong in the early going, Eva looking furious in her corner as she watches this unfold.
As the round ends Eva is quickly into the ring, pointing at Selena as she asks "where's the fighter I know?!" As she works on patching Selena up as her left eye is starting to swell, Eva is giving her a piece of her mind for being so passive.
Across the ring again Troian stays standing, Nia telling her how wonderful she is doing, she seems to be on top in every way, Troian nodding but looking focused on Selena, almost licking her lips at the thought of what she is going to do to Selena this coming round.
Round 8:
Nodding to Eva before she steps out her corner, Selena at least looks to have her fighting spirit back, next problem is kicking Troian's arse, a task not easily done as she is still taking some good clean punches to her while.
Backed up after a jab/straight combo, Selena retreats back as Bellasario hunts her down, ducking under a left cross to hammer in a right to the body of Troian, Selena then clubs her to the side of her head with an overhand left.
The fight moves back to the ring center as sweat and a little blood goes flying into the air, Troian doesn't seem able to shake off Selena, even missing with a right hook that earns her an uppercut to the body, which is reddening up.
A left hook catches Troian flush to the chin as she tries to step in, WITH AN UPPERCUT LANDING ON TROIAN'S CHIN TO ROCK THE HEAD BACK, A LEFT HOOK SMACKS DOWN TROIAN TO HER LEFT SIDE!
Walking to the neutral corner with a small grin, Selena gets a thumbs up from Eva, 1...2...3....4... Troian looks in bad shape as she rolls to her back, 5...6...7.. Staring at the ceiling with a glassy look on her face, 8...9...10 that's it for Bellasario!
Winner Selena Gomez KO Round 8
After:
A hell of a Topsy-Turvy fight, Selena looked like she had thrown this fight away after a strong start, finally she gets the knockout she craved, taking a knee as she feels this fight, Eva rushing in to help the victor to her feet.
Nia rushes in to check on Troian, helping her sit up as Troian blinks to clear her head, once her head is clear then Troian looks to the ceiling wondering what went wrong, she had taken the fight into her hands but dropped it at the most crucial time.
Getting cleaned up in their corners as they sit on their stools, both get round of applause from the crowd, showing their respect to the fighters after a hard fight that they'll be feeling for the weekend at least.
When they come to the ring center, both women embrace as they show no hints of malice, plenty of respect it seems garnered between them tonight as they joke about how they look after the fight, Selena gets her left hand raised as Troian gives her a clap to show her sportsmanship.
Heading out the ring, Troian has to be wondering what she needed to do to win this one, she needs to stamp out the mistakes that led to this loss before she this becomes a bad habit.
The winner meanwhile doesn't look much one with her swollen left eye and cut, she is beaming though as she smiles at the cameras while posing with her hands on her hips, another great win for the fast rising bantamweight.
She makes sure to give Eva a big hug for giving her some tough love that helped spur her on, admitting "if I didn't have you there when I down then I'd have lost for sure" Eva laughs as she replies "just doing my joke" to smiles from Selena.
The Lioness crew leaves the ring, all excited for Selena's future as the move up to bantamweight has been a success so far, how far can she go as she seeks a maiden title in a career of massive fights.
