BEFORE:
Brie Larson has definitely been on a roll recently, taking out both Katheryn Winnick and Ginny Gardner just last year, and now going for a third helping at the Dollhouse buffet table by facing off against the alpha Doll herself (arguably), and current JMD champion, Bella Thorne.
“Yeah, Brie’s just riding her Hollywood wave. She took out Katheryn last year, so she must be doing a lot of things right.” Bella says first from the press table. “But at the same time, I know exactly what I'm dealing with after studying her fight-tapes: she’s hella good, but it’s time for her to face the Dollhouse’s final boss.”
Bella smiles as she lets that title sink in with the assembled reporters. “It's time to avenge my girls. There's just no f-ing way Larson's taking down our entire Bantamweight division. I won’t allow it. Let’s dance, b*tch."
Brie definitely scored more than her fair share of wins since getting picked up by Fates Boxing last year, but recently hit a couple of snags herself after meeting the roadblocks that were Evangeline Lilly and Kira Kosarin. Tonight, she’s hoping to jumpstart her career with another win over another Doll.
“Thanks for the compliment, Bella, but we all know the deck’s stacked against you tonight. I’ve beaten some of the best girls your stable’s thrown at me, and I don’t see any reason why that’s about to change tonight. I’m gonna make it 3-0 if I have to, and eventually, either Kira or Evangeline’s gonna give me that rematch they all fear comin’.”
Ladies face-off on-stage, nose-to-nose and hands securely on hips. It’s a battle between redhead and blonde tonight as Bella’s one-inch height advantage isn’t gonna do her much good compared to how much muscle Brie’s packing from her numerous action roles in Hollywood. Still, if any of these girls feel any nervousness, neither of them budging an inch as they hoist their fists to each other’s chin as the cameras capture the tension.
24 hours later, Brie is out of the arena curtains first, waving her hands to the crowds as she parades a red bikini top and white boxing trunks down the ramp. She’s also wearing a pair of black gloves on either hand. Bella out next in her usual black-purple long tights and black sports bra, lifting a glove high to the crowd as she rocks her head to the beat of her own music.
In the ring, referee calls this Bantamweight match to order. No JMD title on the line tonight – all regular business as one girl wants revenge and the other wants to take even more ground from the Dolls. Who wants the win more though? There goes the bell and let’s find out!
ROUND 1:
Bella plenty aggressive at the bell, scoring with quick jabs to Brie’s face in the very first minute. Clearly, she wants to make a statement by not just beating Larson tonight, but toying with her early to show off the fact that the blonde ain’t invulnerable, especially against someone like her. Larson however far from passive herself, a quick combo sent into her face before she BLASTS the Doll back with one of those killer right hooks to her arms. Bella rocked backwards in shock, her eyes wide and early as she narrowly dodges another swing to the head, goes barrelling back desperately trying to maintain control of the exchange. But Larson’s power and poise alarms the Dollhouse “boss”, as Larson charges after, keeps her head low as she plows another glove into Bella’s gut, then almost takes her head off with an uppercut crashing into the Doll’s guard. Thorne gets the f*ck outta there after that, skirting the perimeter for the remaining seconds as she switches gears in the nick of time! Larson walks away with a wide round as a result, neutralising even Bella’s supreme aggression here! And this fight is just getting started!
ROUND 2:
Thorne plays it smart this time, aggressive tactics used hit-and-run style as she stalks Brie from afar, targeting her head, and then the next moment jumping out of the way of one of Larson’s hooks. It works for the first half, Bella actually landing stiff shots straight to the face, making the Hollywood actress grunt repeatedly as she’s denied her quarry. But Larson just keeps on coming, her arms raised low and dangerous, body taking a few more stabs before she lets rip a left-right combo that tears into Thorne’s cheek! Ouch!! Bella left vibrating on the spot, gets rattled a third time as Larson tries again to drop the champion with a lunging hook. Thankfully, the Doll manages to recover just in time, scooting out of range and then falling back further with jabs. Brie wisely doesn’t choose to chase after her this time, conceding this second round by a small margin.
ROUND 3:
It’s a resurgent Thorne, as the Doll starts the round playing possum at first, shimmying her shoulders as she waits for Brie to come into range. Suddenly, Thorne springs forward with a straight hand slipped past the guard and into Brie’s face right on the nose. Brie shakes the shock off and resumes her attack, but that’s exactly what Thorne was waiting for. Bella quickly follows with a third step-in rocker to the cheek, a last ditch attempt to dissuade Larson’s advance. And it finally works! Brie staggers to the side from that last shocker, covering her head as Thorne continues to pepper her from afar. Bella looks like she’s finally in control of this fight, at least for the moment, as she hounds the retreating Larson, trying to rack up as many points as possible before the bell rings.
ROUND 4:
Larson finally realises she needs to do a little more than rely on her power alone. Even if Bella’s punches lack the sting compared to her own, she discovers they quickly add up as well when they’re landing on her face. Larson with a slower start as a result, goading Bella to come at her instead, but the Doll wisely opts to not take the bait. The two ladies circle each other with jabs for a good minute, but Larson quickly pulls ahead soon after, parrying Bella’s jabs before returning fire with a straight hand that crunches up the redhead’s face. Bella lets out a grunt, her follow-up hook left neutralised as Brie ducks low and buries another hook into her stomach. Thorne with no choice but to clinch up with the bigger girl, gets bullied back into the ropes in the final seconds. Brie traps the Doll right where she wants her, folding Bella in half with stuffing shots to her tummy before the referee pulls her off at the bell and saving Thorne from disaster.
ROUND 5:
Thorne looks a little worse for wear as she begins to realise the scale of the battle she’s found herself in. Going up against Captain Marvel herself might be more than what she bargained for as she strives to keep her distance in the first minute, both catching her breath and also preserving her lead. Brie, however, has ideas of her own, slowly advances on the JMD champ like last time – if it ain’t broke, keep targeting the body, she expounds, hounding Thorne with lunges to her head and sides. Thorne still hasn’t found any answer to this oncoming train, lets out another yelp as a glancing hook rattles the side of her head, Bella stumbling into the ropes in rare tatters as Larson buries another uppercut into her belly before a cut-in uppercut SNAPS her chin skywards… AND DOWN BELLA GOES!! Thorne just wrecked into another reality back there, glassy-eyed grunts from her lips as the Dollhouse boss collapses onto her side!! OUCH!!
Definitely NOT the comeback she was looking for! Brie just roaring in early victory, pumping her arm as she waltzes around the fallen Doll’s body on her way to neutral corner. But Thorne’s fans let out a sigh of relief soon after at renewed signs of life: Bella slowly using the ropes to get back up, one foot after one knee, all the while panting hard and trying to suppress the embarrassment deep down inside at having found herself in such a low position. On the other hand, Larson proves her chops once more at this knockdown attempt in minute two!
ROUND 6:
Thorne gets some advice from Carmen Electra in between rounds, and the Doll might be more inclined to listen after getting knocked down and humiliated in the first half of this fight so far. She keeps her distance this time and keeps moving, leveraging on an also tired-out Larson to snap straight jabs into the blonde’s face whenever she has a clean shot. This strategy begins to bear fruit, with Larson already feeling the pinch from the earlier exertion, now struggling to put the JMD champ away for good but her huge swings missing entirely. Bella tiring her out further and further but lets out a grunt of her own when she gets careless in the final seconds after Brie shoots in punches to her body. Other than that misstep, however, Bella’s comeback looks bright if she continues to disrupt Brie’s momentum.
ROUND 7:
But Brie ain’t done yet either! The blonde actress also fired up herself by her corner, comes CHARGIN’ out at the bell hoping to finish this fight! Bella struggles to evade like last time, but takes a combo to her lips and almost gets her head screwed off its hinges from a final hook sent shrieking in. But Thorne also a little wiser of Brie’s tactics, utilises parries and weaves to neutralise the bigger girl’s attacks. There’s a reason why Thorne is still considered one of the alpha girls of her stable, let alone the entire league, as she mixes up her counteroffense with jabs to Brie’s face to disrupt her advance, and occasionally shows off her JMD credentials with stunners to the actress’ breasts. Brie’s early attack falters rapidly as a result, and the final minute has her breathing hard behind locked arms. To be fair, Thorne’s not looking too good either, having been pushed by this foe harder than ever before in her career.
ROUND 8:
Bella exploits the wounded blonde’s exhaustion, stalking her with fists to her face, lighting Brie up with jabs snapping in with efficiency and poise, as Brie’s head tells a beating backwards from those machine-gun-like shots. Brie’s guard just wavering too much, too slow to intercept Bella’s speed, and the big blonde’s back hits the ropes by the end of the first minute, her own return swings barely making contact as Thorne weaves to the side to avoid or simply ducks under and drills more shots into her tummy. Brie grunts as another step-in uppercut CRUNCHES up into her jawline, and suddenly, the actress is on wobbly feet! Larson’s eyes are squeezed shut and she can barely register what the heck’s going on… Bella roars in with another straight fist to the nose and finally, DOWN LARSON GOES!! The blonde girl CRUMPLES down onto her bum, her nose opened up and chest beating rapidly to kingdom come!!
It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Bella Thorne, and it’s the Doll’s turn to raise her hands in self-imposed victory. She breaks into a smile, stumbling back to her corner to catch her breath. But that smirk quickly turns upside down at the sight of Brie Larson STILL not giving up yet, Captain Marvel digging deep and making her way back up one foot at a time! Brie recovers by the count of 9, but hell if this gesture’s just complimentary as the Fates boxer sways dangerously on her feet, barely nods at the referee when he asks if she wants to continue.
Well, there goes the bell again and the audience can tell this fight is drawing to a close soon… Make or break time with a minute left on the clock, and HERE COMES BELLA THORNE! It’s a nasty repeat of the last minute, with Larson barely putting up her arms as her head gets snapped back over the ropes over and over again, Thorne keeping her distance and letting straight hands fly into her face and chest, rinse and repeat, till FINALLY the ref’s since enough! He JUMPS in to save Brie from permanent facial deconstruction! This fight’s OVER!!
Official Decision: Bella Thorne defeats Brie Larson via TKO8!
AFTER:
Another one bites the dust! Bella breaks into a cocky grin as she composes herself by the ropes, stumbling slightly but otherwise still bubbling with excitement at her win. In her mind, this victory was inevitable and a long time coming - sweet revenge for Larson’s earlier offenses against the redhead’s stablemates.
Larson just collapsing back down to the canvas by the ropes, slowly turning over onto her back as her chest continues to rapidly rise and fall – the Fates starlet came up short today but one can’t help but wonder if she just had a bit more stamina in the long run, she could have very well dominated the second half of this fight as well.
Not tonight, of course, as Thorne waltzes over to her fallen adversary and plants a foot square into her heaving belly, drawing a loud groan from Larson’s lips as the last vestiges of strength are drawn out from her lungs. Thorne not giving a crap, however, sticking out her tongue as she flexes both arms for the cameras, and only releasing the hold on Brie after some long seconds.
Content with her victory, Bella high fives her team and exits the ring shortly after, stopping to speak to reporters outside the ring. “Damn. She was actually better than I thought….” Bella admits, chuckling. “It got kinda messy in there. But it didn’t matter. I knocked her the f*ck out just like I always do. Next up, I gotta defend my title. So that’s gonna be interesting. Kosarin? Maybe. I’m not allowed to say yet.” Bella laughs, hinting at another possible champion vs champion showdown at the upcoming Doll Ball before making her way backstage. Stay tuned!
