TESS VALMORE
Once again, I present this month edition of my much ridiculed predictions. As usual, it is littered with unflattering comments, cheap shots and unjustified criticism. Last month was not a great month predicting. I went 27-10 running my total to 2086-623 still 77% correct'
BELLISARIO/PATTISON Bellisario went 3-2 last year with wins over VanCamp, Robbie and Olsen. Her loss was to Kosarin and Scodelario. Pattison comes over from the BBU where she has a 7-2 record. I know nothing about her opponents. I have to go with the known. Bellisario will make Pattison’s FCBA debut painful.
KYLIE JENNER/DIXON This member of the Jenner clan is seldom seen. She has had four fights in the last three years, one being last year. She has a 5-5 career record. Dixon is anther fighter from the BBU. She has a winning record over there. Here not so much. In fact, there FCBA record is 3-24 and she has lost twelve of her last thirteen. She is now 42. She’s a little bigger than Jenner, but she is twenty years older. Jenner should win
DIZON/ROBBIE Dizon is another who has had success in the BBU and a crappy record in the FCBA. She is 9-2 in the BBU, but 1-5 in the FCBA. Robbie went 3-3 last year facing top tier fighters. The telling fact here is the Dizon lost to Frege. If you are even an average fighter, how can you lost to Frege. Robbie shouldn’t have much trouble
M.MOORE/KLOSS The 35 year old Moore has been in the FCBA for sixteen years with a 30-38 record and three unified welter titles. The last few years have not been particularly good. She has a 5-10 record since 2015. She was 2-3 last year with her losses being to Upton, Righetti and Rhoda. Kloss broke in the 2016 and quickly entered the top ten welters by winning her first seven fights. Then reality set in. Since then her record has deteriorated to 11-12. She lost five of six last year. I have to go with Moore
TELES/PATTON Teles won her debut fight in the January PPV beating a fading lightweight. She is a 35 year old rookie. Patton is a 44 year old welter with a losing record although she was 3-2 last year and 5-6 since 2017. Bonzo is bring Teles along slowly matching her with names. Teles will win her second bout
OLSEN/BENOIST Olsen was picked up by Fates after being canned by Chimera. She has lost her last five including four since joining Fates. Benoist isn’t doing much better. She has lost four of her last five. Benoist has a two height advantage but Olsen has lost to better fighters so I will go with Olsen to win
DIDONATO/SAGRA DiDonato had a fine 13-3 record last year. She was sure to get a title bout but then was short circuited by both Lima in November and Tailor in January. She was ranked at three in the lightweights in Tractorpull’s year end rankings. Sagra is almost a duplicate of Kloss. She broke in 2018 winning eight of nine and quickly moving into the top ten. 2019 was different. She finished the year at 5-5. She had two chances at the title and of course lost both. This is a 50/50 fight. I am going to go with Didonato to win but not putting any money on it
S.MITCHELL/KILLNER Mitchell’s 2019 year was a disaster. She ended up with a 1-7 record. Killner is a newbie. As bad as MItchell’s year was I think she is good enough to beat Killner, especially since she is almost three inches taller. Killner get a rude welcome to the FCBA
D.R.RUSSELL/M.MITCHELL Russell broke into the FCBA last year. She was active and had an unimpressive 3-4 record with three of her losses being to Dennings, O.Holt and Emma Roberts. Mitchell was also a newbie last year. She had one fight which she won. Actually, I don’t have a clue, but Mitchell is three inches tall so I will go with her to win.
D.CAMPBELL/BASSINGER Campbell has a 24-11 record after winning in the January PPV. She went 3-3 in 2019. Bassinger broke in last year winning all four of her bouts. Her opponents were not impressive, but suitable for a first year fighter. I have to go with Campbell to hand Bassinger her first loss
CHERYL COLE/KENDRICK Cole had a great 2018 winning all six of her bouts. Last year, not so good, as she lost five of seven. Kendrick was a ranked flyweight in 2015-16. Her career has definitely deteriorated since then. She has lost her last ten with her last win being in September 2017. Her losing streak will continue. Cole wins
MORETZ/MEESTER Meester received her walking papers from Front Street in May 2017. Since that time she has lost every fight, a total of eight straight. Moretz lost her first five last year and then went bottom feeding to win her last three. Moretz may be a little less than average, but she should beat Meester who should simply go away
LOWNDES/McNAMARA McNamara has had nine fights winning six. Lowndes has had 64 bouts winning 41. She went 8-2 in conventional fights last year. Lowndes was ranked at five in the last Boxing World’s rankings McNamara was ranked at thirty-six. I have little doubt that Lowndes will win
FREEMAN/KHOLE KARDASHIAN Freeman used to appear in the top ten rankings, but that was before last year when she lost six of seven. All the losses were to top welters. Kardashian has a 4-4 record, but has never beaten any one of note. Kardashian has a two inch height advantage. It isn’t going to help her as Freeman gets back on track
BECKY G/JUSTICE. Becky G is one of those new singers who all sound alike. She has had five fights winning four. All her bouts have been against singers. Justice has been in the FCBA for six years and has had only one winning year. She has lost five of her last six. Becky G’s problem here is that she is five inches shorter than her opponent. That’s a lot to give up. Justice should win
DECKER/LAW Decker had a good year last year going 7-2 in conventional fights. Law’s year was not so good. It was 0-3. In fact Law hasn’t won a fight since August 2017. She has lost seven straight while fighting top competition. Decker has a two inch height advantage. Decker picks up her first win of the year
WEAVING/EVE Weaving is a newbie coming from the BBU where she had a 4-1 record, which means exactly nothing. Other than that, I have no idea who she is and I am not interested enough to find out. We will see how she does in the FCBA. Eve is another import. She has a good record in the BBU, but a not so good record in the FCBA, which is not terribly unusual. This is one of those fights I might spend down at the bar while Eve beats what’s her name
ORRANATIA/GOMEZ “Gomey” is a friend of my BFF. Cassandra Lynn would put a jalapeño bomb in my bedroom at the Manor if I didn’t predict Gomez would win. Therefore, in the interest of survival I predict Gomez will win
CHASTAIN/KEEGAN Keegan has recently been busy in the BBU and at JMD. She lost four of five conventional fights last year. Chastain had a 5-2 record last year against mediocre competition. Keegan is ten years younger than Chastain. I think Chastain will win, but once again don’t put any money on this prediction.
AGDAL/M.KERR Agdal has won eight of her last eleven. She’s one of those fighters who beats good competition, but fails against the top ten. Kerr was once ranked in the top ten lightweights. Kerr seems on the down side. She has lost for of her last six with her wins being over average fighters. Agdal will win
SANTORO/BARNES Santoro is an average fighter who has won three of her last five. Barnes is 0-2 in the FCBA last year. Those are her only two fights. Those losses were to better fighters than Santoro has fought. In her last fight she lost to Yustman in less than one. I’m going to take a chance on Santoro
LOPILATO/GLAU THIS IS A BLATANT MISMATCH. Lopilato is looking for an easy win. She will get it.
H.FERGUSON/LAWLEY Lawley is the Godzilla of the FCBA meaning she is 6’2” It didn’t help her much in 2017 when she lost all three of her fights. She didn’t fight last year. Ferguson was 7-2 last year in conventional bouts. Three of those win were over average to below average fighters. Lawley's height didn’t help her in 2017. It won’t help her either
L.COLLINS/ARMAS Collins was 8-4 last year, but lost her first bout of this year to Olivia Holt. Armas has been in the FCBA for three years and had three fights which she won. Her opponents were basic nobodies. Collins won’t have much trouble winning this bout.
THERON/J.KELLY The Golden Goddess continues to fight in the cougar division against fighters she should have fought earlier in her career. This will be her 380th fight on her way to 400. Kelly has lost her last five but three of those losses were to top ten fighters. Theron should notch her 253rd win. Theron has to fight another bout at the Asylum in less than 24 hours later harking back to her earlier days.
H.BROWN/SMULDERS When I saw this bout listed I wondered who Havana Brown was. Her real name is Angelique Meunier, which is a lot better than Havana Brown This is her debut in the FCBA, but she has fought in the ACB and the BBU with success, but once again who cares about what one does in the BBU. Smulders has been in the FCBA for 14 years, but has never been very active having only 31 bouts during that time She has a 6/24 record, but has fought four Hall Of Fame fighters and a number of multi time champions. She has lost her last six with her last win being in 2013. This is a newbie looking for an easy win. She won’t get it. I’m going to take a chance on Smulders
LILLY/LARSON For the bantam title. Larson certainly deserves this title bout as she has won ten of her last twelve. This will be Lilly’s first defense of her eighth bantam title. It won’t be her last. Lilly retains the title
SWIFT/STRAHOVSKI For the lightweight title. This will be Yvonne’s 97th bout on her way to the Hall Of Fame. She was 7-3 last year, but lost her first bout of the year to her arch-rival Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Swift had a thirteen fight winning streak broken a couple nights ago when Upton took her to the woodshed. Strahovski will pick up the pieces. Strahovski wins her fifth unified title
RIGHETTI/PALICKI For the welter title Palicki moving up to welter to get a title shot. Might as well because there are no welters left. Righetti is a great fighter, but she is ruling over a very shallow and weak division. As usual Righetti will continue to win welter fights until she doesn’t
There were four more debuts in this PPV bringing the total to fourteen
NOTE Tractorpull has a policy of not posting two columns on the same day. Therefore a review of the VIX/FOXFIRE stable war will follow in a couple days. We are not ignoring it.
