TESS VALMORE
A.LYNCH/LIND Of Lind’s seventeen fights, eight have been at JMD. In her conventional fights, she has won seven of nine. Lynch was 6-3 last year, She has more experience than Lind and is two inches taller. Boxing World has Lind ranked at nineteen in the bantams and Lynch at twenty two Despite the rankings, I will go with Lynch to win
GIBBS/DADDARIO Gibbs had a good year last year going 8-4 after losing to Agdal in the ViX birthday bash. Daddario is another who fights occasionally at JMDD. She has not been particularly successful in either JMDD or conventional bouts. She has lost five of her last seven conventional fights. Gibbs has a three inch height advantage. That doesn’t spell success for Daddario. Gibbs wins by a KO
M.FOX/MCADAMS Fox has been on an amazing 30-4 over the last three years. She was 8-4 last year after losing to Pia Miller, who was five inches taller. According to the Archives, McAdams was 2-2 last year, but lost her first fight of this year. I think McAdams. who is now 41, is sliding to the downside. The two have never fought before. Fox will walk away the winner
BECKINSALE/J.GARNER Is this for real? Beckinsale, now 46, is a tall bantam, She has a fairly good year last year winning five of eight but lost her first bout of the year in the January PPV. Garner is a Hall OF Fame lightweight. She is a year older than Beckinsale and is an inch taller She is in management now, but had her first fight in a year, a cougar fight on the January PPV, when she beat Jeri Ryan. She has fought and beaten the best. I have no doubt she will beat Beckinsale
KRSMANOVIC/M.MOORE Krsmanovic has been busy fighting in the BBU where she has been very successful. I think she is 9-0 and is the welter champ. She has also been busy at JMDD, so her conventional fights last year amounted to four of which she won three. I think Moore is a better fighter than her career record indicates. She was 2-3 last year, but those losses were to Upton, Righetti and Rhoda. Krsmanovic is younger and a little taller. This could be the fight of the night. I am not a big fan of Krsmanovic, but I will predict she will win
REN/WINSTEAD Two top lightweights. Ren had the far better record, but both beat Jenner and lost to Swift. Winstead has fought the harder schedule by far. The two have fought once before. Winstead won. She will repeat
E.WATSON/PANETTIERE For the bantam title Watson won the title by beating Stewart in September and successfully defended it in December after engaging in a couple non title fights. She had a 9-3 record last year. Panettiere didn’t have nearly as good a year last year and lost a title fight to Stewart. She beat Portman in the January PPV. The two have never fought before. The kicker here is that Watson is almost four inches taller than Panettiere. That’s a lot to overcome. Watson will retain the title
