7. Kate Beckinsale vs Petra Nemcova (Catchweight)

An interesting seventh match on the cards where we have the Head honchos of both stables squaring off for ultimate bragging rights. Kate Beckinsale coming in at a three-inch height disadvantage, something that Petra keeps rubbing in at the pre-fight press conference.
“Kudos to Kate for stepping up to the plate despite her shortfall. I’m also pleased with how my girls have done thus far tonight - we’ve got Diana who scored big over Lynch, Pia beating Megan was a nice surprise, and then we watched with joy as Clauson smothered Kelly out just moments ago. We just need one more win and we can call it a night!”
“Don’t be so sure of yourself, Pet. We all know Hannah versus Bo is coming up next, and Hannah’s already beaten your girl twice now,” Kate replies.
“Well then, I guess I’ll just have to knock you out to win this stable war, no?” Petra laughs.
Despite the banter, both ladies are smiling as they meet in the center, posing for the cameras before actually shaking hands to show the rest of their girls how it’s supposed to be done.
Later in the ring, Petra in a yellow bikini top, black fighting trunks, still looking awesomely fit for someone her age. Kate going for a blue sports bra, white bikini bottom and red fighting gloves. There goes the bell and HERE we go for ten rounds of Catchweight action!
ROUND 1:
Petra establishes her dominance early by landing jabs from a distance, using her height advantage to rock Kate to the arms with both power and speed. Kate must be regretting agreeing to this fight as she's thrown about the ring repeatedly, has to take the brunt of the punishment that she can't see coming most of the time, barely able to get in close enough to exact her revenge on the blonde when her fists are hitting at air mostly. Mid-way, Beckinsale manages to slip past a few of Petra's attacks, drums on that lean body before swimming a hook into the high guard, but otherwise has to retreat when Petra's own hooks start to overwhelm her defenses again, and the round ends in the taller woman’s corner. We should be expecting this outcome again after that disastrous Megan v Pia fight, but hey, who knows what might happen?
ROUND 2:
Kate getting a sense of her opponent's rhythm as they dance in tandem mid-ring and then fire testing jabs at each other as they continue to feel each other out. Let’s not forget that these two are not getting any younger, having worked closely with her sister counterpart across the Atlantic ever since taking over the leadership role at VIX headquarters, but having creative disagreements with Petra is one thing; facing off with her in the ring is a whole other. Kate still manages to slip in closer and closer, slides her head around the blonde's jabs and then bangs into her body and arms. She then retreats just as Petra winds up to retaliate, smiling on her way back as Petra hammers shots into her arms but failing to score big on points.
ROUND 3:
When Petra does land punches, however, she lands them hard, scoring another straight hand down the middle of Kate’s guard, making the Brit grunt and retreat in the first minute. Followup jabs to her body make her think twice about getting in close again, the SIRENs’ matriarch now relying on her arm length to dictate the direction as she tries to herd Kate into the corner. Kate getting her tummy tanned on by leather gloves each time she tries advancing forward, her arms protecting her head meaning her body’s left exposed as she fails to make a significant enough hole in Pet's defenses. The two women trade jabs in the final minute, with Kate taking some damage given her shorter reach - but manages to stun Nemcova to the body and chest with her fists squeezed up into the lips in the final seconds.
ROUND 4:
Maybe it all boils down to tenacity at the end of the day. Beckinsale facing the same disadvantage Megan did earlier in the night, who faced off against Pia Miller and five inches too many. However, she's learnt lessons from watching her girl fight, hunching over and making herself look small before barrelling at Petra, taking jabs all over. Petra overconfident, thinks she can floor the smaller woman if she just lands her big shots willy nilly, instead, gets ROCKED to the face when Kate dips under and then spins a hook into her cheek, then slams hooks into her lean body after. What a feat! Beckinsale manages to stagger the blonde, as Petra stumbles and recovers too late - another hook lands clean on her face, KNOCKING her down to her side! It's a KNOCKDOWN for Kate Beckinsale! Petra left on her bum, propped up with two arms as she wonders what the hell just happened. Beckinsale with her hands in the air, an achievement in itself that she's managed to floor the bigger woman in the fourth round. But it ain't over. Petra eventually gets back up by the count of 7, ready to continue this battle and looking slightly embarrassed.

Kate repeating the same tactic, hiding her face in her arms before coursing in and trying to do damage with bigger hooks, knows this might be the only way to overcome her reach disadvantage. But this time, Petra’s wiser, sees it coming a mile away and keeps her distance, peppers Kate's arms with strikes before timing her own hooks stiff into the Brit’s arms, stunning the older actress hard as her assault falters mid-charge. Petra poking back at her face in between these lapses in defence, STUNS Kate with a hard cross straight to the nose. Kate in trouble all of a sudden, getting bullied backwards by the bigger girl, with Petra increasing the frequency of hard knocks into the side of her head, which throws Kate left and right, until another powered cross to the face takes her counterpart’s head off - Beckinsale FLOORED onto her back from that clothesline to the jawline!! Here’s a revenge KNOCKDOWN for Petra Nemcova! Kate left breathing hard on her back, brown hair dishevelled as she blinks up at the stadium lights. Nemcova getting congratulated in corner, all smiles at showing off her big girl powers. Kate however slowly forcing herself off her back, getting back up to her feet by the count of 8, and the rest of the round has the Brit in full retreat mode, keeping her distance even as Petra tries again to roar in for a knockdown, but doesn't succeed.

What a back-and-forth fight this has turned out to be! Petra trying another charge towards Kate but finds herself running out of breath early, her jabs only grazing the arms. Kate on the other hand manages to keep her composure, steady her aim and fire back, scoring on the face and body as Petra nears. She hurts the Head Siren this way, slowly racking up points and disrupting her attempts to end this fight early. Another wild hook sails overhead as Kate ducks at the right time and pummels the body with a sudden left-right uppercut combo. Petra groans, folds over, vulnerable chin exposed just long enough to get SOCKED by another right hook, and the bigger blonde GOES DOWN ONE MORE TIME, sent spiraling 180 degrees as she falls flat onto her chest this time, lays there completely still! Referee does his mandatory count but it's all over at the count of 10, with Petra shaking her head and body trembling on all fours!

AFTER:
Kate Beckinsale pulls off an upset with this win, the Head Vixen smiling wide and raising an arm to quickly celebrate, then immediately heads over to check on Petra's status. The big blonde is slowly getting revived by the medics, sits up by the ropes with her entire face drenched with sweat as she registers what just happened. Kate all gracious in her victory, showing her fighters how it's done, win or lose, and the two women share an embrace after Petra gets back to her feet, both sharing smiles and a brief hug later on as they even out the scoreboards on this 'friendly' stable war.
