TESS VALMORE
LYNCH/KORKUNOVA Korkunova has been very successful in the BBU going 12-4 in the last two years and is currently the BBU flyweight champion. She has had only one FCBA fight which was back in 2017, which she lost to Ratajkowski.
Lynch was ranked at 19 in Boxing World’s last rankings. She is 4-2 for the year. Going by record Korkunova should be the winner is this bout. I am, however, going to go with Lynch to win.
LOPILATO/ALONSO Lopilato is having a so-so 5-4 year after having a 5-1 year in 2018. She has lost her last two. Alonso is another BBU fighter who is having a fairly good year in the BBU, but hasn’t won a FCBA fight in three tries. She broke into the FCBA in February 2017. Her first fight was against none other than Lopilato which she lost. Alonso has a three inch height advantage. It didn’t help her in the first fight. It won’t help her in this fight as Lopilato wins again
M.FOX/P.MILLER THIS IS A MISMATCH. This is a strange pairing. Miller is a lightweight, while Fox in a flyweight. Fox was ranked at ten in the flys by Boxing World in their last rankings. The problem here is that Pia Miller has a five inch height advantage. That’s a lot to give up. This is a no win situation for Miller. She beats Fox, well with that height advantage, she is supposed to. She loses and she will be a laughing stock. A Fox win could be a career ender for Miller. I’m going to take a chance on Miller’s height to give her the edge
GIBBS/AGDAL Agdal has won 66% of her career fights and has the same in ratio for this year. For some reason, despite her record, I haven’t been impressed (not that she needs to impress me). Gibbs has the same record for the year and the two have fought similar opponents. I’m going with Gibbs. She’s blonde. Adgal isn’t
CLEMENTS/REN Clements is one of the unusual cases of an American who broke into fighting in the BBU. She has been active in both the BBU and FCBA and has similar records in both. This will be her 16th fight of the year. She has faced average opponents in the FCBA. This will be Ren’s 12th fight of the year. Her record for the year is 7-4. She is a little shorter than Clements but has fought far better competition. I have to think Ren is going to win
BECKINSALE/NEMCOVA Nemcova has a 11-1 in the BBU. She has had only one in the FCBA, which she lost to Upton. Beckinsale. while still capable, is on the downside. Nemcova is six years younger and three inches taller. That’s enough to make me believe she is going to win
FERGUSON/KRSMANOVIC Ferguson is having a fine year being 8-2 with her losses being to Upton and Righetti. She has won her last five. Krsmanovic has been busier this year in the BBU where she is 8-0 while being 4-2 in the FCBA. Her losses were to Upton and LIma. Her opponents in the FCBA have not been particularly impressive. They have fought twice before with Ferguson winning both. She wins his one also
L.COLLINS/E.WATSON This bout was scheduled before Watson’s marathon win on the November PPV. I bet she regrets having scheduled the two fights so close together. Collins is having a good year being 8-3. Although she does have wins over Lowndes and Vanessa Hudgens, the rest of her opponents have been unremarkable While Watson’s career record is not as good as Collins’, she is 9-2 for the year. One of her losses was to Vanessa Hudgens. The question in my mind is two weeks enough time to recover from the PPV bout. I’m going to take chance that it is and Watson will retain her title
There is one more fight on this card but it is a JMD
