TESS VALMORE
KEEGAN/MAISIE WILLIAMS. Keegan is an average fighter with an overall winning record, but has not done well recently losing four of her last five in the FCBA and two of three in the BBU. Willians has been in the FCBA for three years, but hasn’t been all that active. She’s had nine bouts, winning six. Williams is quite a bit younger than Keegan however, her real problem is going to be her height. She is three inches shorter than Keegan. Good fighters have overcome that problem. I’m not sure just how good Williams is, but I will go with her to win
B.LIVELY/DAY Lively is a veteran of 56 fights of which she has won 26. She held the lightweight title back in 2016. She has a record of having good years every other year. She had a good record last year. This year she is 0-2, but her losses were to top ten members. Day is a newbie. According to the archives she is unmanaged, but every fight she has been in except one have been on girlsfriday cards. She has an 7-1 record. Her opposition hasn’t been remarkable. Lively has the experience and has fought much tougher opponents. I’m going to have to go with Lively
LAWRENCE/BROOK In the last Boxing World’s ranking, Lawrence was ranked at seven and Brook at 14. You have to consider that they are welters. Lawrence is ranked at seven despite losing ten of her last sixteen and as I have pointe out before, lost to the last four lightweights and bantam she has faced. Brook’s train left the station years ago. Since 2011, she has had only one winning year which was last year. This year she is 1-4. She is 40, I’m going to have to go with Lawrence.
KOSARIN/M.KELLY Kelly, who is now 39, has had a very successful career in the FCBA. Despite winning 64% of her fights, she had held only one title in her twelve year career. Kosarin is one of top bantams. She is seventeen years younger than Kelly and three inches taller. They have fought once before with Kosarin winning. She will repeat.
STRAHOVSKI/ROHRBACH This will be Strahovski’s 95th fight on the way to the Hall Of Fame. The four time unified champion has a 6-3 record for the year. Rohrbach is probably one of the most underrated lightweights. She has a 20-12 career record and is 4-2 the year in conventional bouts. This should be a good fight. I have to go with Strahovski
PANETTIERE/LOWNDES Panettiere seems to be slowing down. She is 5-6 since the beginning of last year, however has a winning year thus far in 2019. Lowndes is having a fine year being 8-2 in conventional fights. Lowndes has a 2 1/2 inch height advantage. This is the rubber match between these two. Lowndes is currently in the groove. Panettiere isn’t I have to go with Lowndes
