TESS VALMORE
In the opening bout, it took Kurkova less than four rounds to take care of Sampaio. I was Sampaio’s fourth loss in five FCBA fights. I would suggest that she stay in the BBU where she has a winning record
Prinsloo’s fifth round KO of Brook should help her get back into the top ten. Brook’s loss was her fifth in six fights this year. It looks like Brook is going to suffer her sixth losing year out of the last seven. Coming into this fight Brook has a 50-66 record. In the last rankings, she held down the number 14 spot. Only in the welters could a 40 year old with that record be ranked that high. Does that tell you something?
Wallace Day pulled off a minor upset with her sixth round knockout of Atwell. It was her sixth win in seven bouts as she seems to be stepping up in competition. A couple more wins against good opponents could see her cracking the top twenty by the end of the year.
Kunis suffered a sixth round knockout at the hands of Cyrus. That puts her on track to suffer her third straight losing year. She hasn’t been over active. I think she may be in danger of following Kreuk out the Consortium door
Lilly beat Chopra by an eighth round knockout. It was her 60th win in her 94th bout. The win puts her entry to the Hall Of Fame on her 100th possible. She needs one more win to guarantee it. That’s because Tractorpull doesn’t permit entry on a loss. Should she lose all the next five fights and then lose the 100th fight She would have to wait for fight 101 to happen and she would have to win that one to get the 60% win ratio. I think that scenario is very unlikely
Five fights. Five knockouts. Four ending between rounds four and six.

I see Tess has found a new agenda. She'll be tracking KO percentage now? Seems like another mini-war is about to be lost. Her previous agenda to ridicule JMD has died a slow death, likewise the Kendall Jenner No Talent Index mockery, welterweight has also ignored her nagging about number of fighters so let's see how this goes. Sadly media don't run FCBA and Tractorpull has jumped onto another sinking ship. I believe in 12 months Tess will get tired of tracking these KOs and finds a new punchbag to remove her frustration. Good luck with that!

I try not to respond to your criticism, but you just love to criticize almost anything I and the Wiz write. We are your targets and that is fine. That’s your right. I just consider the source Now to JMD. The JMD agenda has not died a slow death. It is ongoing. You will note that JMD is never mentioned in the predictions or reviews. You will note in the predictions, I refer to conventional fights. You will note in the predictions, I have accused several fighters of wasting their time doing JMD You will note in the rankings we say we don’t consider JMD and won’t consider JMD fights in eligibility for the Hall Of Fame. By the way whatever happened to the JMD rankings that lasted about two issues. Why doesn’t someone do a JMD review?
As to Jenner I backed off the no talent fun because she convinced my she is a very good fighter.
I have been ranting about the welters for years. It’s a weak division, but some managers think it is just fine. It’s not. Just look at the rankings and look at the records. It’s tough getting a top ten. Miss Ginny once said “there is always a top ten” but when the top ten has aging fighters with career losing records, the division has problems wether you want to admit it or not. Talk about classic failures, How about your much ballyhooed welter tournament several years ago that was supposed to rejuvenate the welters.
As to knockouts, it was another manager who pointed out to me that most fights end between the fourth and sixth rounds. I have said repeatedly that my main concern was how the records of new fighter’s knockout percentage might lead some to believe that todays fighters are better than the previous generation
You seem to believe the FCBA is just fine. When an organization believes it is just fine, it will deteriorate
I want to make it quite clear to you and everyone, that my comments are not and shouldn’t be considered as a criticism of Lookout who does a tough job very well. I also know that you, girlsfriday and Archer do a lot excellent work in the archives and that is much appreciated
Once again I’m done (I’ve said that more than once haven’t I)

Yeah, I believe FCBA is doing fine. We are coming off 51 (FIFTY ONE) fights at the last PPV. If that's not an indication we're doing fine I don't know what else is? Unless Tess prefers PPVs with like two writers and 15 total fights? Would that be a good sign or a true indication the league is going south? I know your JMD agenda won't change but what I meant by it dying is the fact the managers DON'T pull their fighters from JMD fights. I don't see the likes of Upton, Ferguson or T.Atkinson refusing JMDD because it would impact their Hall of Fame status or the TP rankings? People simply do what suits them regardless of years of your criticism. But I've noticed you don't throw shade on JMD in every other BWO message and stuff like that anymore. Ignoring the picks is obvious but I reckon you understand JMD is not going away like you want to. JMD rankings? The guy who did it has left the board. And other than BWO and TP nobody else is doing the so-called "media" character work. So it just happens two of the biggest JMD anti-fans are doing ALL the media work (except from the one-offs by Archer News Service). I'm too busy writing FCBA & BBU stories AND the archive to even think about masquerading as some media character for any JMD rankings purpose. I don't have time for that, period. My welterweight tournament was a one-off concept and served its purpose for that specific moment. There's nothing ballyhooed about that. The arrival of Hannah Ferguson and Tahnee Atkinson did more for welters alone and they should receive due credit. Speaking of ballyhooed, whatever happened with your "fighters who should retire" list? That got abandoned rather quickly? And it gets worse for you, Tess since the Cougar Division has arrived as well. And no, nobody will do any Cougar Rankings to appease your stance IMO. I don't see ANYONE complaining about the modern day fighters being superior to the old crop. Whatever made you assume that is simply wrong. You're seeing ghosts out there, Tess! I know sh*t about baseball but I don't believe modern day Derek Jeter would ever be considered better than Babe Ruth even by Yankees fans? I understand you're sensitive about the Hall of Fame but it's your call how to manage it. You've banned Gena Lee Nolin from entry so you can ban whatever future fighter arrives at the door if only because their KO% is inflated and makes Cat Bell or Theron look "bad" when in reality there's nothing bad about them. PS. I look forward to our future sparring matches because this ain't the last one for sure
