TESS VALMORE
TISDALE/BICONDOVA What does it take to convince anyone that a fighter is not up to fighting in the FCBA. Tisdale once had a winning record. That was before she lost her last nine and twelve of her last thirteen. She has fought some good fighters in a desperate attempt to prove she is still capable. She failed. Bicondova has had only two fights which she won in winning this year’s new blood flyweight tournament. I have no idea why Bicondova is taking this bout. If she wins it is no big deal beating an opponent with Tisdale’s record, but if she loses it could be a career ender. Tisdale hasn’t won a fight since 2014. She won’t win this one either
BUNDCHEN/DAY Bundchen come into this fight with an FCBA record that almost makes Tisdale look good. She has won only four of twenty fight and has lost her last eight. She will be 40 in a couple months. I assume her opponent is Wallis Day as I can’t find a “Walks” Day in the archives. Wallis won this years new blood lightweight event. I think this bout puts Day in the same position as Bicondova. Day will win
A.TAYLOR-J0Y Taylor-joy is another fugitive from the new blood tournaments. She hasn’t been swamped with bouts since winning the 2017 bantam event. She has a 4-1 record. Her only loss was due to being sacrificed in a Dollhouse event to make Thorne’s record look better. Johansson is a three time flyweight champion, but she is now past her prime. She has lost nine of her last eleven It strikes me that this card was designed to showcase former new blood contestants and give them a good chance of winning. This bout however, is not a slam dunk. Most of Johansson’s losses were to top ten fighters, which Taylor-Joy is not. I’m going to take a chance on Johansson
S.TURNER/VANCAMP Turner broke into the FCBA back in 2015 and so far has a 8-6 record. Turner is lightweight, but some of her wins were over bantams and for the most part second and third tier fighters. Quite frankly, I am not impressed. Her opponent happens to be a bantam, a good one. VanCamp is a four time bantam champ and has won seven of her last ten with her most recent losses being to Kendall Jenner and Evangeline Lilly. I think this is a fight in which Turner picked the wrong bantam
SAGRA/REN Obviously there has been an under the table deal for the winner of this fight to get a title shot. Fortunately, this is not a problem as both are deserving of the match. Sagra comes into this fight with a 12-3 record. She has lost two of three this year, one to Ren. Ren comes in with a 22-5 record. She 2-1 this year with her loss being to Lynch, a bantam. She fought Sagra in 2017 and lost so this is the rubber match. Ambrosio is probably rooting for Ren as she suffered a KO loss to Sagra last year. I think Ambrosio will be disappointed as Sagra gets the title shot
