Damaris Lewis (Free) v Gemma Atkinson (Beevers US) – rematch

Damaris was impressive in her debut against Gemma, and has been granted an immediate rematch by the former champion, who, despite winning the fight, was concussed, and in big trouble until Damaris hurt her wrist on the top of her skull, and needed multiple stitches in cuts to her eye and nose, with a two night stay in hospital needed for recovery.



Both girls look gorgeous, Damaris in a white bikini, and Gemma in baby blue, and this time they both look serious, the usually smiling Gemma giving Damaris the deathstare



Round 1



After their previous fight, the girls know what to expect from each other, and they’re immediately swapping jabs in the centre of the ring, Damaris coming out of the first exchanges looking quicker and sharper, and she’s got that clubbing right hook working nicely already, and Gemma’s been hurt inside a minute, rocked on her heels with a left cross which crashes into her jaw, she’s backed into the ropes, and Damaris nails her with that right hook – Gemma can’t take it, and she’s on the canvas after just 73 seconds, on her feet at 7, but already looking second best in that ring tonight, Damaris hitting her again, hard punches to the blonde’s body, really working on her with so much effort, sending her backwards into the ropes again, and now Damaris tries an uppercut, but Gemma blocks it, and the left cross which follows, but Damaris isn’t done with her, and rams a straight punch into her gut, Gemma’s guard dropping, and she pays the penalty when the New Yorker hooks her face, right, then left, the bell ringing, but the beating goes on, the referee eventually pulling Damaris away, Gemma lolling against the ropes



Round 2



After an extended break between rounds, Gemma has been revived by her corner, and she gets another good break when, trying to throw a right hook, Damaris overbalances a little and slips, so that the Brit hits her with three unanswered jabs and a left cross, which sets Damaris back some, and has her covering as she backs away to the ropes, Gemma not getting after her too quickly, wary of the younger girl’s punching power, and she stands back half a yard more than she did in the first fight, so that although it lessens her punches, it keeps her clear of Damaris, giving a split second extra to avoid that crunching right hook, and she’s using all her experience to outbox the New Yorker, who looks frustrated, but not annoyed, keeping her emotions under control, waiting for her chance, as Gemma starts to slow down, lose focus, and Damaris can start to work her way back into the fight, turns Gemma brilliantly, and tees off on her face, a left and a right, although the blonde isn’t done yet, and her right jab unsettled Damaris in the closing seconds as she gets back into this fight



Round 3



Gemma starts the round well, hitting Damaris with a couple of heavy right hooks to her ribs, and she’s trying her out with that left uppercut again, the New Yorker wise to it though, blocks the punch, and, with Gemma committed, she unloads on the Brit’s body, solid punches to Gemma’s impressive abs, drawing grunts and gasps from the former champion, who then clinches and holds on, Damaris grinning, “Gotcha b*tch!” The girls are parted by the referee, then, when they restart, Damaris smashes a clubbing right hook into Gemma’s face, and she stumbles backwards, clearly hurt, Damaris grinning, but giving her time to recover, then they get close and personal again, thumping each other’s body, Damaris warning Gemma, “There’s more of that to come, you tramp! I can take you anytime I want!” Gemma doesn’t answer back, but she pushes Damaris backwards, and cracks her across the jaw with a right hook of her own, “You sure about that? I beat you last time!” then hits the model in her body, the bell ringing shortly after to end an even round



Round 4



The mutual dislike is becoming more obvious now, with Damaris ripping a few choice punches into Gemma’s body, although the blonde takes those punches, and returns fire, jabbing and jabbing at the New Yorker’s face, then clipping her with a left cross, trying to set her up in the corner for an uppercut, but Damaris turns her, stabs a few jabs into her face instead, forcing Gemma to clinch again, Damaris whispering, “I’ve got you, b*tch!” before pushing Gemma back herself, and thudding a right hook into her body, Gemma groaning again, but getting out of trouble with a nice right cross to Damaris’ mouth, and the younger girls staggers a little, Gemma not following up though, as she’s still feeling the effects of Damaris’ punches, but she defends well when the younger girl comes at her with some more bodyshots, although she may be weakening a little at these softening up tactics, because she’s clinching again, then reacts more quickly when the referee breaks the clinch, and bats Damaris backwards with neat punches, her technique possibly helping her shade that round, as Damaris gives her a vicious stare at the bell



Round 5



Gemma comes out bouncing again, clearly becoming more comfortable, and she lands a nice left jab and right cross combination on Damaris’ face, smirking as she watches the model step backwards, and she moves in closer, putting Damaris back against the ropes, hits her to the ribs with her left, then tries out her right uppercut, again finding it blocked, and Damaris turns her around again, almost manhandling her as she thuds one, two, three banging punches into the Brit’s gut, and now it’s clearer that she’s weakened Gemma, as the blonde’s gloves are dropping, so that Damaris might get some clear punches into her face, but she doesn’t try that yet, keeps Gemma steady, works her down the ropes to get her into a neutral corner, and now she unloads more bodypunishment, Gemma gasping, her ribs taking a lot of punishment, and a left hook to the cheek wobbles her, before a second one puts her down on her ass, Gemma flopping onto her side, then pushing herself back up and onto her feet as the count reaches 7, but she looks nothing like ready as Damaris rips into her again, savage, thudding hooks to her flesh, the model grunting with the effort, the Brit squealing with the pain, and she goes down again, on all fours from the sheer power of Damaris’ brutal punches to her body, Gemma fighting for breath, but she gets up again, just about beating the count at 9, but unable to stand upright properly Damaris straightening her with three short uppercuts to her face, enjoyin herself as the bell ends a tortuous round, “I’m gonna finish you – nice and slow!”



Round 6



Gemma’s corner have tried to stop the blonde from coming out for round 6, and she’s probably regretting her insistence in continuing as Damaris hits her body again, really hurting her with those punches, Gemma’s gumshield hanging from her mouth, Damaris lining her up, then crunching a right uppercut up and into Gemma’s jaw, her left foot actually leaving the canvas as she crashes onto her back, eyes closed, knocked spark out.



Result: Damaris Lewis knocked out Gemma Atkinson in round 6



That was about a brutal a beating as the FCBA has seen, and Gemma may be in a lot of trouble here, her doctors taking a long time to revive her, but she’s on her stool at last, drooling and bleeding onto the canvas, with Damaris now standing before her, “Get on your knees and tell me I’m the better woman!” but Gemma’s management and the medics stop any further punishment, although Gemma slurs, “Decider! I wanna decider!”
