TESS VALMORE
FNL cards have always been a little difficult to predict. This card was no different, but my results were. I went a terrible 2-4. I can’t remember the last time I went below 50% in correct predictions, but there it is and I have no excuse. I’m going to hear about it from Fred, my editor
The only New Blood fight I got right was the first one where Day beat Osoria, From there it was all down hill
Holland broke a four fight losing steak by beating Panabaker. I thought Panabaker's two inch height advantage would prove the difference. I was wrong. Her recent inactivity proved her more downfall although I can’t take away a good performance from Holland
The Danes/Lilly fight was all we expected. Both scored knockdowns and at the end of the bout it was anyone’s win. It went to Lilly in a rare decision, the third of the year. It was Danes sixth loss in her last eight. Now she has to face Dobrev in a title fight in the February PPV. I would say the future does not look optimistic.
Kristen Stewart surprised me in beating Watson. As everyone knows, she and I are at odds, but I have to admit she looked good in winning. It was no fluke or “lucky” punch. She decked Watson three times and after the last time Watson didn’t get up. Although it was an impressive win, it doesn’t change my opinion of Stewart.
