TESS VALMORE
Once again,I present this month’s edition of our much ridiculed predictions. As usual it may be littered with cheap shots, unjustified criticisms and unflattering comments. In the December PPVs. I went 40-9 running the total to 1571-463 or continuing to be 77% correct
LAVIGNE/PANETTIERE In the interest of transparency, I admit that to say Lavigne is not one of my favorites is an understatement. I honestly hope she loses every bout. Unfortunately, she has been successful. Here she faces a fighter that could beat her. Not only could, but will. Panettiere wins
BENSON/LOVATO JMD
KRSMANOVIC/PRINSLOO Krsmanovic didn’t have a good 2018 going 1-6. She didn’t start off this year any better losing to Lima. Prinsloo did a litter better going 2-3 with a victory over Kloss I think this is a 50/50 fight and predict that Krsmanovic will get a rare win
AMBROSIO/DADDARIO Daddario is something like 2-6 over the last two years.
Ambrosio is the ninth ranked lightweight. She will retain her ranking. Ambrosio by a KO
BENOIST/McGRATH Benoist is an average fighter, while McGrath has had one FCBA bout which she lost. She will lose this one also Benoist by a KO
ATWELL/SWIFT Atwell is a JMDD fighter who occasionally fights conventional bouts. She was 2-1 last year beating Winstead and Palicki Swift didn’t have a great year last year going 7-5 and losing her last two. I think she will get back on track with a win
I.BALDWIN/NOLIN Baldwin has had two fights winning one. Both were in 2017.
I doubt she has any idea what she is walking into. Nolin is well past her prime and has lost her last five. Nolin is the dirtiest fighter in FCBA history. I doubt Baldwin is ready to have her groin and crouch pounded. Nolin wins
LIND/DANES Lind had a good year in 2018 going 7-1 but really didn’t beat anyone of note. Danes will soon be 40 and is slowing down. She has lost four of her last six, but don’t count her short. The D train will start off the year with a win
McADAMS/C.HOLT McAdams, who will is 40, had a good year last year with a 4-1 record. Holt had almost the opposite record winning one out of four. I think McAdams will continue Holt’s losing streak running it to four with a KO
TEMPLE/COLE This is a gimme. Temple has no business being in the ring with Cole. Cole by a KO
LYNCH/REN I think Lynch got this bout out of the Great American Alexis Ren bash. The two have fought twice before with each winning one Ren is a lightweight and Lynch a bantam. Since Lynch’s win Ren has developed into ta top flight lightweight, who is now ranked at three. Ren will win
WATSON/KRUEK Watson has had a hot hand recently going 11-1 and is on a ten fight win streak. Kruek has held thee unified flyweight titles despite having a losing record. She has lost three of her last five. I have to go with the hot hand. Watson will win
LOPILATO/WILDE Lopilato had a good 4-1 year in 2018 with her loss being to Yustman Wilde has a good career record that has suffered in the last two years
During that time Wilde has won two of eight with one of those wins being over Frege. Lopilato will win
GIBBS/CERNY Cerny broke into the FCBA last year with four fights, only one of which was in a PPV and only two were conventional. She beat Gibbs in a JMDD bout. Gibbs had an 8-3 record last year, but didn’t beat anyone of note. Gibbs has a three inch height advantage which didn’t help her in the JMDD bout. It will in this fight. Gibbs will win
KOSARIN/OLSEN Kosarin is a top ten bantam who had an 8-5 record last year. Unfortunately two of those losses were in title fights, Olsen wasn’t very busy last year with a 2-1 record, the loss being to McAdams. I think Kosarin will win
STEINFELD/RICKARDS Presently Steinfeld is on the road to nowhere. She 2-8 and according to the archives hasn’t fought since June. Rickards is seldom scene in the PPVs, fighting mostly in stable cards in which she has done fairly well. I go with Rickards to win
V.HUDGENS/KENDRICK Kendrick is a good fighter who has hit a rough patch losing her last four. I doubt I really need to talk about Hudgens who is a four time champ and won twelve of her last thirteen. Hudgens starts off the year with a win
STRAHOVSKI/PALVIN Strahovski is one of the very best lightweights. Palvin has a good record mainly fighting in stable PPVs. She is out of her class here. Strahovski by a KO
LILLY/DUSHKU Dushku is now 38 is past her prime She has lost five of her last seven after losing on the FNL card. Lilly is on a drive to get into the Hall Of Fame winning eight of her last ten and her last five. She will extend the win streak to six by beating Dushku
VANCAMP/PAUSINI Another gimme. This is a total mismatch. Pausini has lost
all eight of her FCBA fights. Make it nine
E.HENSTRIDGE/PORTMAN Henstridge ended the year with a 6-5 record and winning her last four. Portman at 38, is looking like she is getting past her prime She was 2-3 last year with wins being over average fighters. Henstridge is younger and bigger. I am going to take a chance of Henstridge. I hate to bet against the Consortium, but this is the second such incident in this PPV
SCODELARIO/McCARTHY. Jenny Mac won her first fight coming out of retirement. She beat long out of prime Pressly. In this fight, she is facing a different bred of cat and it is not going to go well. I hope she doesn’t get hurt too badly. Scodelario will win by a KO
BUSH/ELIZA TAYLOR Bush has been busy as she beat Dushku on the FNL card on the 11th. She was 4-3 last year winning her last three. Taylor has won five of her six conventional bouts but hasn’t beaten anyone of note. I go with Bush to win
RHODA/FREEMAN Rhoda had a slightly disappointing year in 2018 finishing the year at 7-5 and being upset a couple times. Freeman is another top welter who has a 4-2 year with competition being not as good as Rhoda’s This could be a great fight. I think that Rhoda will win
GRIMES/MORETZ Grimes has been around for four years having nine fights, winning three. Her opponents have been average to below. Moretz is like Grimes. She has a winning record but has really not beaten anyone to brag about. I have no idea who is going to win this bout, but I will pick Moretz
M.KELLY/WINNICK Winnick is one of the saving graces of the Dollhouse
She has a thirteen fight win streak broken by Olsen in the December PPV
Kelly, while having a Hall Of Fame win ratio, is showing signs of passing her prime. That said I think she has enough left to win over Winnick
M.KERR/T.COLE Kerr didn’t have a good year last year going 2-4, but she did have wins over Lawrence and Refaeli Cole has been around for years and has always been a dangerous fighter who has beaten the best. She is a three time unified champion. According to the archives she didn’t fight last year, It’s going to cost her. Kerr will win
DECKER/LAWRENCE Two top welters. Both moved up from lightweight, Lawrence the more recently. Decker has the better record at welter. I have Decker ranked at four, while Lawrence quickly rose to the ninth spot. I think Decker will win
DIDONATO/ALDRICH Aldrich has a couple big wins over Agdal (2) and Peregrym and is 5-2 for her career. Didonato has had four conventional fights thus far losing two. All but one of her bouts were on stable PPV’s . I believe that Aldridge will win
CHOPRA/GREENE Chopra is on a four fight win streak after beating Minka Kelly in December Greene has not done well losing six of her last seven. Chopra will add to her misery. Chopra by a KO
SCERBO/CYRUS No analysis here. Scerbo is my BFF I want her to win. She will
ORRANTIA/D.RYAN Orrantia is an average fighter who is unpredictable, but has an overall winning record. Ryan has had only two fights in the last two years winning one. The lack of activity will cost her. Orrantia will win
R.ROSE/C.J.PERRY I have no idea who Ruby Rose is. I’ll pass
UPTON/KENDALL.JENNER No need to go into detail Top lightweight vs top welter. The two fought once before with Upton winning. History will repeat. Upton wins
WINSTEAD/RIGHETTI Another lightweight.welter bout with the lightweight champion going against the Welter champ. Remember the old song. I don't ever bet against Righetti. Righetti by a KO
B.THORNE/D.ROSE JMD I don’t care
FERGUSON/GOODWIN JMDD
WILLIAMS/FOX Fox won the right to this title fight by beating Hudgens on the FNL card on the 11th. She is on a remarkable 23-1 run over the last two years.
Williams will be making her fifth title defense. Size is not an issue and Fox is six years younger. The two fought once before, way back in 2010 with Williams winning by a KO. Of course, Williams is going to lose the title sooner or later but I am going to have to go with her until she does. I might well regret this but I think Williams will win
Once again,I present this month’s edition of our much ridiculed predictions. As usual it may be littered with cheap shots, unjustified criticisms and unflattering comments. In the December PPVs. I went 40-9 running the total to 1571-463 or continuing to be 77% correct
