TESS VALMORE
VIKANDER/KREILING Vikander is an average 50/50 fighter. Last year, she went 2-2 winning every other bout. Kreiling had her first bout in the VIX November Birthday Bash beating Wickersham. I can’t say I really know anything about Kreiling. I go with the known. Vikander will win
KNIGHTLY/McCORD Knightly has been in the FCBA for 16 years, but only has had only 47 bouts, of which 19 were in 2003-04. From 2011 to 2018 she only had only six bouts losing them all. She had a resurgence in 2018 engaging in four bouts winning three. McCord is a walking disaster case. It’s a wonder she is still in a stable. She has lost eight straight with her last win being back in July 2011. On the positive side, if there is any, she has fought a lot better competition than Knightly. Boxing World has Knightly ranked at 43 in the flyweights, while McCord comes in at 60. I’m going to trust my fiancé’s judgement in his rankings. Knightly wins
RATAJKOWSKI/ROBBIE Ratajkowski is a bantam who manages to get a fight in when she is not posing for some photographer from the Daily Mail in as little as allowed. She had five conventional bouts last year winning three. Robbie had a 3-5 year in 2018 losing three of her last four. Boxing World has Ratajkowski ranked at 15 and Robbie at 17. Makes we wonder about the quality of the bantam division. I am going to go with Ratajkowski. Don’t ask me why
ALBA/CUTHBERT Alba has held two unified titles and two division titles, the last being almost ten years ago. That was then, this is now, and she’s become easy meat for a fighter looking for a win. She has lost eleven straight with her last win being in August 2014. She is in the same stable as McCord. Makes you wonder. Cuthbert is now 36 and has been in 118 fights with her record being two wins short of 50%. She is a three time unified bantam champ. She is presently the manager of Lookout. Her last fight was in October 2015. I can’t imagine why she is getting back in the ring now. She has one more distinction if I remember correctly. I think she is the only fighter to get in serious cross ways with the Wiz. While Cuthbert is the younger of the two, she has a serious problem in this bout. She is four inches shorter than Alba. Despite that, she has won four of the seven previous fights between the two. I am going to take a chance on Cuthbert to be victorious
BECKINSALE/THERON This is an interesting pairing. The “Greatest Of All Time” against an opponent who has a claim to being the best fighter never to hold a title. Beckinsale is older, but age is not a big factor. What is, is wear and tear. Beckinsale’s 78 bouts pale in comparison to Theron’s 374. The wear and tear on Theron has been severe as she has taken terrific amounts of punishment. How much has Charlize deteriorated? Boxing World now has her ranked at 35 in the lightweights (Tractorpull stops at ten) As for Beckinsale, it’s who knows. Boxing World ranks 246 bantams and as far as I can tell Beckinsale “ain’t” one on them. Both has losing season’s last year with Beckinsale going 2-4 and on a three fight losing streak, while Charlize ended with a 3-4 record losing her last two. Theron faced the better competition. In disagreement with the publicity, if Theron loses this bout she will still be the GOAT. That said I have to believe that Theron is going to win this bout by a KO. It will be her 250th win
