BEFORE: A battle of the South Koreans stars tonight: the South Korean actress, Park Min-young vs the South Korean popstar, Joo Minhee. Park is hoping to change her luck around, as she states in her interview. Both fighting in their home country, the arena filled with tons of overseas FCBA fans, and they're ready to see some fireworks!
"My loss to Megan Fox was a fluke." she says in a serious tone. "After I show this little girl Minhee how a real South Korean woman fights, I'll be conquering the girls that actually matter in this league. But for tonight: I will display dominance!"
"I love all the shows Min-young stars in, but I don't have time to be starstruck..." Minhee says, smiling despite the threats. "If this is a fight about seeing who deserves to represent our country, then I'm going to go all out! Because STELLAR deserves to be the heart of South Korea, and if I have to knock Min-young out to prove it, then I will!"
ROUND 1: Park starts off strong, taking Minhee by surprise with a shocking amount of aggression. The singer guards the assault, but finds herself pressed for an opening as Park runs her around the ring. Hasty countershots are thrown that graze Park, but it's not enough to slow her down as she lands a nice big hit on her prey! Her gloves slam into Minhee's face and chest, but Minhee retaliates by going low and knocking the wind out of Park with a combo to the gut! The two brawl in a tangled mess, getting their bodies real close together and swinging away! It looks like Park takes the power struggle, as Minhee's head gets rattled from a blow to the chin. The actress starts pounding the STELLAR singer into the ropes, being met with some retaliation, but not enough to keep her off! The bell rings, and Minhee gets a moment to breathe after Park unleashed hell on her. Her hand touches the ropes as she walks back to her corner, seemingly using them to guide herself. Park just smiles and puts her gloves on her hips as she walks back to her corner, but the attacks she took from her opponent are still apparent; she's playing it off very well, though!
ROUND 2: Minhee acts carefully, bobbing from left to right as she watches Park like a fox. Her guard is solid, and Park can't seem to pierce through it no matter how fast or hard she hits it. Minhee leans back as another one sails past her, and strikes Park with a precise cross to the chin. She’s more than happy to land another power punch to make Park stumble, taking control of things! She shoots off jabs and stays close to the actress, narrowly avoiding Park’s fists. Minhee tosses a left straight, and then gets parried and crushed with a right! My God, Park shot that one off like it was a wrecking ball! Minhee gets weakened for just a few key moments, which lets her take the lead again as she whips out a flurry of punches to the midsection. Minhee's stomach is getting worked hard, as Min-young gets in there real good...Minhee landing some retaliation strikes, but she's touching the ropes now and getting STRUCK RIGHT IN THE JAW! That had to hurt! Minhee looks like she went crosseyed for a second, but she counters by uppercutting Park's rack, making her moan loudly. The round ends with Minhee landing jabs to Park's nose, but it's not enough to fix the point difference. Park wins this round by a hair, making the actress even more confident!
ROUND 3: Minhee takes the lead this time, catching Park off her game with a sudden left. She moves in quickly in order to relentlessly slug her enemy, granting herself a few points as Park can’t guard against them in time. She then misses the left and grazes Park’s face with the right, letting the actress break free and receiving a well placed left-straight for her trouble. Park jabs Minhee in the face a few times as she hops and jogs away from her. Minhee is going to have to struggle a little now, as she tries to find a way to get back on her again. The two share a jab war for a little bit, playing out the range game, Park steps in with a big punch and gets PARRIED, letting Minhee slide in a nice punch to the ribs! Park tries to tough it out as she jabs at Minhee’s breasts, but Minhee coming with an uppercut that sends Park’s head backwards and facing the air! The assault continues with a left hook, a right hook, and another straight that makes Park bounce off the ropes! As Minhee tries to continue, the bell rings. She’s looking pretty satisfied with her performance, but Park isn’t shaken: she’s still confident, giving her younger opponent a serious glare that says “You got lucky this time!”
ROUND 4: Minhee comes out energetically, once again trying to straight for Park to catch her off guard. She starts circling her cautious opponent, coming in and out with feint strikes. Then, she takes a few steps away from her opponent, a sexy smirk on her face as she beckons the other Korean girl by motioning her with her glove and winking. Park abides, annoyed by this taunt, and rushes over to strike Minhee only to overextend and find herself stuck in the corner! Minhee dodged that punched perfectly and got her opponent stuck in a trap! Minhee goes full force now, starting with punches to the midsection. Park tries a power punch to escape, but Minhee ducks and comes back up with force to uppercut Park’s chest! Minhee’s punches increase in speed as she ravages a dazed Park’s chest and midsection! The ref comes in to break things up, asking Park if she’s okay: she is, and we get right back into the action. Park refocuses, clearly angered at a still smug Minhee. She takes the offensive for a while, forcing Minhee to be on her toes. She’s dodging very well, and Park can’t seem to break that guard. As the assault ends near the ropes with Park’s tiring, Minhee smiles brightly as she uses a haymaker to send Park stumbling backwards, gloves up! Minhee creates her own little symphony—seeing as she’s a popstar—with a mixture of glove hitting face and Park’s grunts and moans. A right straight to the eye ends the composition, and forces Park to collapse into the ropes for a second; she’s still standing, but it looks like she might fall any second. She pants heavily, and looks up at Minhee, who gyrates her hips and asks in Korean: “Is that all you got?” Just as Park prepares to retaliate, the bell rings just in time. Minhee struts with an exaggerated hipsway back to her corner, and Park clings onto the ropes to get back to hers: just like the first round, but in reverse! Minhee takes this round by a landslide!
ROUND 5: Park's looking weary from the last round's assault, some bruising on her face and stomach, while Minhee's just working up a sweat. No worries on Park's part, though: she's staying stubborn, fighting back with all she's got and refusing to let Minhee get close. The popstar isn't backing down, though; she smells blood, and she's going for it with her tough one-two combination into Park's guard. Park is trying to hold on, her counter shots missing, but Minhee BREAKS THROUGH that guard and rams her glove right into poor Park's nose! Looks like that did it; Park looks helpless now as she adds the finishing touches to Park's gut, causing her to crumple to the canvas at Minhee's feet. She walks back to her corner, waiting in anticipation...Park's trying to get up, but she just keeps falling! Eventually, she collapses at 8 and lays there for a while, panting heavily. 9...10! That's it! KO5 Joo Minhee!
AFTER: Minhee poses confidently to her homeland's crowd in the middle of the ring, a frustrated Park Min-young glaring at her and rolling her eyes as she's helped up and escorted out of the ring.
"Now that I've won, I guess you can say I'm the 'Seoul' of South Korea in the FCBA!" Minhee giggles before continuing: "Genuinely, though, I'm going to start representing my country. A lot of Asian girls don't seem to get far in this league, and the lack of Korean girls doesn't help. Well, consider me a new agent of change! That's why the Sisters-in-Arms formed in the first place. I will be the face of South Korea in the FCBA...and, maybe one day, an FCBA champion!"
Minhee struts out the ring to chanting of her name, as she's demonstrated herself as the stronger South Korean woman tonight. Her face is beaming with optimism; we'll see if it lasts!
