TESS VALMORE
The FCBA finished the year with an exciting card in which every title was on the line. The results of those title bouts were as expected by me, but I suspect that many thought the welter title fight would turn out differently. Righetti regained the welter title with a last second TKO of Upton in the tenth in what was the fight of the night. Winstead retained her title with a KO of Perry. The Wiz announced that next year was going to be the year of big fights. This was another big bout that got away from Front Street
Dobrev successfully defended her title for the second time with a KO win over Lynch. Finally, Michelle Williams continues to roll as she won her fourth title defense beating Emma Watson
In the welters, the once dominate Bridget Regan lost again, this time to Kendall Jenner, a lightweight. It was Regans sixth loss in her last seven. With losses to once championship dominate fighters in this PPV, Bazz stable looks more like a dead man walking.
In the lightweights, Strahovski looks like she is finally back on track with her over Cuoco, even though Cuoco is fading badly, losing seven of her last eight. Seems the worst thing to happed to Kaley was earning her way into the Hall Of Fame. Adrianne Palicki’s win over Swan will move her into the top ten. Swan’s loss was another blow to Front Streets big win evaluation process.
In the bantams. Bennet had a big win over Danes that could make her the number one challenger. The current number one Lilly also won, but Bennet had by far the better opponent. The Dollhouse didn’t have much to celebrate as Gardner and Winnick both lost. I was delighted with Jenny Mac’s win over Pressly even though I am going to have to listen to her endlessly brag. Pressly is now 41 and has lost seven of her last eight. It’s time for her to hang them up
In the bantams, my BFF Cassie Scerbo lost again in a bout that should have never been scheduled. She is the other once champion fighter in Bazz, who is a victim of management’s “don’t give a s—t" attitude. Olivia Holt’s win over Danielle Campbell should boost her in the rankings while dropping Campbell Finally Hayden Panettiere’s win Patton may not get her back into the top ten, it will get her into the Hall Of Fame. She was already eligible but due to tradition that you can’t enter the Hall on a loss but only on a win, had to wait until now. She will be admitted late this week
