Our reporter sits in The Great Room at The Manor watching basketball and sipping cold beverages with Poindexter Del Crunchy and the Man In The Hat.
Reporter: "Lynch and Aldridge looked plenty good in those fights yesterday..."
Man In The Hat: "Both of those girls look plenty good no matter WHAT they're doing..."
Pointy: "But, to your point, Lad, yes they did. Both, I think, are getting to the point where you've got to consider them title contenders."
Man In The Hat: "Agreed. I'm impressed with both of 'em."
Reporter: "So, this JMD/D thing..."
Man In The Hat: "Are you gonna ask questions about that every time we talk?"
Reporter: "I'm just wondering when this is all going to start..."
Man In The Hat: "Well. As I continue to say, 2019 is a new year. And, we'll be doing new things. And, for the moment, that's all I can say."
Reporter: "You mentioned in conversation with Ginny that JMD/D no longer carries a stigma..."
Man In The Hat: "Correct. That's something that's changed over the years. When we first got here back in 2010, well. There were a FEW girls who did JMD and were also considered serious fighters, girls you'd consider for a shot at the lineal titles. But. Most girls who fought JMD...like you said. There was a stigma. It was like fightin' on cruise ships and stuff like that. Beach fights were kind of like that, too. But, that's changed now. Here you've got Upton and Tahnee Atkinson and Ferguson and these are three of the top welters in the world and they've all held the welter belts, but all of them fight JMDD..."
Reporter: "And, that's one of the reasons you're interested now..."
Man In The Hat: "Absolutely is. We never wanted to get our fighters characterized as some kind of freak show fighters. So, we stayed away. But, again, that doesn't happen anymore. So, it's no longer a concern. Now. Let's watch some ball, shall we?"
