TESS VALMORE
GARDNER/LOPILATO Gardner is in her sixth fight of the year coming in with a 5-1 record. Her opponents have not been strong, but that’s OK at her present stage of development. Lopilato comes in with a 14-5 record. She has fought some pretty good fighters and when she did, she lost. Her wins were basically over run of the mill opponents. I think it’s her losses that will help her here. Her last loss was to Yustman, a top ten lightweight. I going with Lopilato to win
E.ROBERTS/KENDRICK This will be Robert’s 13th fight of the year. She is 11-2 during that time. Her opponents have generally been average. Nothing to talk about. This will only be Kendricks third fight of the year. Her last fight was in March. Apparently Diamond Boxing Club forgot about her. Her record is not nearly as good as Roberts’, but the competition she has faced is far superior. I go with Kendrick
LAVIGNE/CABELLO This will be Lavigne’s 21st fight of the year. She has a 17-3 record. The reason her record is that good is that she has managed to avoid all but two of the top 27 flyweights. She did beat Roberts in an intra-stable bout, but got flattened by Jenna Louise Coleman In choosing Cabello, Lavigne once again avoids a top twenty-five fighter. Cabello is 1-3 for the year and in Boxing World’s last ranking came in at 74. No surprise here. Big mouth Lavigne will win again
WINNICK/McADAMS Winnick is the class of this stable. Her conduct in and post fight has been superb. This will be her 16th fight of the year and her record for the year is 12-3 Pretty good right? Well, if I am not mistaken, she has fought only two of the top fifty bantams and lost to one of them. McAdams does check in as one of the top fifty. She’s a four time champion, but strangely has only has five winning seasons in her 13 career, not counting 2018. She is 3-1 for this year. McAdams is very unpredictable, but I will sadly go with McAdams to win
M.KELLY/B.THORNE This is JMD and I don’t have to cover it so I won’t I don’t like Throne anyway
There appears to be some gross inactivity when it comes to some members of this stable. Lavigne has had 20 fights this year. Mayberry who is 3-4, has had seven fights, not this year, but in her career. Hayley Williams has had eight fights in her career Jessica Chastain, who is another classy member of this stable, despite losing only one fight, has only had eight in her career Then there is Paige, who you probably be seeing again, since she had a career ending wrestling injury recently, It’s telling, that Mayberry, Williams and Chastain have only had three more fights in their combined careers than Lavigne has had this year.
