Our reporter and his blonde companion sit watching football at Bazz with Jamie Lynn Spears, Cassandra Lynn Scerbo, Poindexter Del Crunchy, and the Man In The Hat.
Reporter: "So, Wiz, tell me about where you are with the flyweight title shot opportunity. I'm sure you've had meetings..."
Man In The Hat (laughing): "Meetings? We didn't have any meetings. We accepted. Period."
Reporter: "Wait...I know your plan was to give Winter some rest..."
Jamie Lynn: "And, she rested last month!"
Reporter: "But Wiz said..."
Cassie: "Allow me to remind you of what Uncle Wiz said. He said that Ariel was resting in October and that he did not have her scheduled for Asylum for the rest of the year, meaning that if he did not receive a pay-per-view challenge he found interesting, he was fine with resting her the remainder of the year."
Pointy: "And, I expect a title shot opportunity against a HALL OF FAMER is pretty interesting..."
Tess: "Especially since it's only the SECOND flyweight title opportunity in the HISTORY of Front Street..."
Man In The Hat: 'You know, if any of the four of you is ever looking for work, let me know. I'll put you in my media relations department..."
Jamie Lynn: "Um, any of the three of THEM. I already work for you."
Man In The Hat: "True. And I couldn't be happier about that. But, to Smackeroo's point..."
Tess: "And, to defend my betrothed and his belief that you may have been of two minds when it came to accepting the challenge, you HAVE said repeatedly that you were not pushing for any more title shots this year..."
Man In The Hat (nodding): "I have. And, yes, our plans did not call for any further efforts to win gold in 2018. However. In the FCBA, it's not all about YOUR plans. Other managers and fighters have plans, TOO. And, you have to respect THOSE plans as well. So, to your question, Smackey, we have to respect Hawk, who currently has the title. We have to respect the fact that he's giving us a huge opportunity..."
Cassie: "One that Ariel EARNED by beating Portman and Kreuk..."
Man In The Hat: "No doubt she's deserving. But. So are lots of OTHER flyweights. Fact is, Hawk can give this opportunity to anyone, and we have to respect the fact that he's giving it to US. Moreover. We have to respect Michelle Williams. Mishy is more than the champion, but, even if she weren't, she IS the champion and we have to respect the champion's right to choose her challenger, something we've, um, championed since we started here in 2010. And, the fact that that change has been made, that we've gone from a federation where a list of challengers stepped forward every month to one where the champion sits on the throne and points at a girl and says 'you', has been an important for the FCBA. So. We have to respect the champion's right. But, again, Mishy's more than a champion. She's a flyweight icon. She's a Hall of Famer. She's, arguably, the greatest flyweight of all time. An opportunity to fight Michelle Williams, with or without the belt, is a privilege."
Tess (grinning): "I think what Wiz is saying is that Front Street didn't waste any time accepting..."
Man In The Hat: "We did not. No discussions took place and none were necessary. We gladly accepted and we're grateful for the opportunity."
Tess: "Speaking of the pay-per-view, you've got a big bantamweight fight on there, too, with Dennings and Thorne..."
Man In The Hat: "I've said this before, and I'll say it again. If you told me I could take any fighter from any other FCBA roster and put her on mine, present company excluded, that fighter would likely be Bella Thorne. Kid has 'IT'. She's a challenge for Kat and a big one. But. Kat's up to it. She's an elite bantam, just like Bella. And, the fight's win/win for us. Losing to a girl like Thorne won't hurt anything. And, a win could put Ms. Dennings in the middle of the title picture as we start 2019. So. Yeah. We didn't have to think too long about that one, either. Now. Let's watch some ball, shall we?"
