TESS VALMORE
As I said in my predictions, Vix cards are usually competitive and present problems when it comes to predicting because the fighters are well matched. That was not the case in this card. A couple of the matches were highly questionable.
McNAMARA/L.COLLINS Collins is ranked at number four in Boxing Worlds flyweight rankings. McNamara had had only one previous bout, which she lost. You have to ask why this bout was held. The only suspense was when would it end. This was nothing, but a stay busy bout and was too easy a bout even for that. It was no surprise therefore, that Collins won, however, a bout like this isn’t going help her ranking
LEE/KIM This was a rematch of a fight that occurred in March of this year which Lee won. Lee repeated her win with a fourth round KO. It was Kims 5th straight loss. In Kim’s 15 year history is the FCBA, she has never won a fight.
AGDAL/ALDRIDGE This was a rematch of a bout that took place in October which was won by Aldridge by a TKO6. Aldridge won again. This time a KO8. I suspect the two will swap their rankings when the next come out.
ALBA/M.FOX I have several questions to ask. Why is Alba even still a member of The Fighting Academy? Why is Alba allowed to continue to fight? Alba is 37. She has lost her last eleven. She has lasted past the sixth only three times in those eleven bouts. So, management thought putting her up against the number one bantam was a good idea? Really? The only surprise is this bout was that Alba lasted past the sixth. Alba needs to go before she gets seriously hurt
BECKINSALE/DORMER Beckinsale, at 45, still seems to be competitive. She took on Dormer who had lost six of her last seven. Dormer won the bout by a KO7. Now Beckinsale has to fight again in the October Asylum. A loss there might persuade management to retire her.
