Our reporter and his blonde companion sit watching football at Bazz with Grace Park, Cassandra Lynn Scerbo, Poindexter Del Crunchy, and the Man In The Hat.
Reporter: "Did you see Tess' predictions, Wiz? She picked Front Street to go 0-for-the PPV..."
Man In The Hat (laughing): "I saw..."
Tess: "So, how about that FNL card, guys..."
Grace: "Well, I'm not a 'guy', but I LOVED it. I agree with Tess. It was one of the best mini-PPV's ever."
Cassie: "No doubt about it. Even if my BFF continued her Bazz-bashing..."
Pointy: "At some point, girl, you and I are going to have to have a TALK about that..."
Man In The Hat: "Give the girl a BREAK, Pointy. She'd probably bash Front Street, too, except Mr. V apparently has a PATENT on doin' THAT..."
Tess (smiling): "Thanks, Wiz...I think. But, speaking of the FNL card and Mr. V...Decker's right in the welter title picture off that win. Mr. V says McKinney won't fight her if she beats Upton, since you have a policy of not fighting former Front Street fighters. Would you change that in this case?"
Man In The Hat: "Now, I've said before that there's no point worryin' about things that might not happen."
Reporter: "But it might..."
Man In The Hat: "Think of it this way. What's Front Street's record in welterweight title fights? It's 0-for-forever. And, how often does Upton LOSE? In her last 50 or so fights, eight times. Think we're a dog in this fight? Yeah. I think we are. But, even if we weren't. There's simply no point in worrying about it unless and until it happens."
Reporter: "So, you haven't thought about who you might defend against?"
Man In The Hat: "Haven't spent one SECOND thinking about it. And, I won't spend a second thinking about it unless the fight ends with McKinney's hand raised."
Reporter: "See, what I'm hearing is that you don't have much confidence in Charlotte..."
Man In The Hat: "Not true. I have a LOAD of confidence in Charlotte. That's why I signed her. That's why I've pushed her. I have no DOUBT she can win the fight. Especially since one of those eight fights Upton lost was TO Charlotte. All I'm saying is that we won't have any idea if we need to worry about title defenses until the fight is over. At that point, we WILL know, and, at that point, IF we need to think about it, we will. Until then, we'll use our time to think about other things..."
Tess (grinning): "Like how to run your stable..."
Man In The Hat (smiling): "Exactly."
Tess: "Lowndes had something to say about Winter and a title shot..."
Man In The Hat: "So she did."
Tess: "Obviously, you don't think Ariel's an impostor..."
Man In The Hat: "I think Ariel's a contender. Does she deserve a title shot? Not for me to say. Or worry about. Because Front Street doesn't have the belts. But. I'll say what I ALWAYS say when it comes to title shots. Absent some incredible run like the one Fox went on, there's never a month where several girls don't have arguments for a title shot. It's never ONE girl. And, it's up to the champion to sort out those arguments and make a decision. And, as far as we're concerned, I also always say the same thing. We're here if you want us and, if you don't, we'll do something else. I've been of a mind, for example, to step Ariel up to bantam...just for a fight or two against opponents up there that interest me. Lind's an example. That would be a good type fight, and I'm of a mind to, maybe, make it at some point."
Grace: "We always have options here. There are always places we can go with girls and things we can do with them."
Man In The Hat: "Exactly. So. We'll wait and see what happens..."
Tess: "And then you'll worry about what to do next."
Man In The Hat (smiling): "Exactly. Now. Let's watch some ball..."
Reporter: "Did you see Tess' predictions, Wiz? She picked Front Street to go 0-for-the PPV..."
