TESS VALMORE
Once again, the Doll House holds their PPV in the Staple Center in LA. As usual, I will be watching the event of TV. I, personally, would rather dye my hair brunette than go to LA
THORNE/MICHALKA Bella Thorne looking to continue her dominance of the Bantam division? Don’t tell that to Nina Dobrev. Seems Carmen has a short memory. Thorne does have a great record and was heading towards a title fight until Dobrev caused a little detour. She takes on Alyson Michalka. Michalka is one of the three good fighters left in Bazz. Michalka rarely shows up at the Asylum, so she she gets about four fights a year and none thus far this year. Thorne, in contrast, has had seven conventional fights this year winning five. This is a more attractive bout than the main event. We will see is Thorne can come back for defeat. I think she can I think Thorne will win
E. ROBERTS/CHABERT I love the way Carmen describes bouts. Roberts seeking to climb ever closer to the top of the flyweights. Well she has a long way to go. She is ranked at 38 by Boxing World. Like most Doll House members, Roberts has been very active. This will be her ninth bout this year. Thus far, she has won seven of eight with her competition being on the light side. At almost 36, Chabert is now on the downside. She has lost four of her last five, however, she has lost to better fighters than Roberts has beaten. I think this bout will tell us more about Chabert than Roberts. I am going to take a chance on Roberts, but whatever you do, don’t bet on it
GARDNER/HOLLAND Gardner is a newbie who has had two fights thus far and won them both. Looks like she is being brought along slowly which is fine. Holland is somewhat less than an average fighter. She has lost four of her last five. Also Gardner has a three inch height advantage. Gardner will stay undefeated.
WINNICK/M. RODRIGUEZ Carmen says Winnick is another looking to climb in th rankings. Not difficult for she is ranked at 70. At almost 41, she is really on the road to nowhere. Doll House should forget about rankings. Winnick can be in some attractive fights as long as she stays in her age group, which is not overly abundant. If you want to be blunt, there are two, maybe three better bantams in the Doll House. She has had seven fights this year winning four. Rodriguez has a unusual history. She fought in 2004 and didn’t fight again until 2016 Since then she has posted a 5-2 record against lackluster opponents. I think this is a 50/50 bout. In that case, the rule is go with the blonde. Winnick should win
LAVIGNE/HANRATTY I can say that Lavigne and I don’t see eye to eye. Her big mouth I think is repulsive, but I have to tone it down because she has a lot of support at Front Street. i am posted there three and a half days a week. She had a nine fight win steak broken in a loss to Mendes in Doll Ball 6. Hanratty has a winning record, but she has won against mediocre fighters and lost to good ones Lavigne is probably on the good side rather than the mediocre. Lavigne will win by a KO
