TESS VALMORE
GARDNER/HILLARY DUFF This bout is ludicrous. Duff is a prime example of a fighter, no matter how bad, can win a title. Winning a single title is no big deal and doesn’t make one an elite. Referring to her as a former champion, while true, is nothing more than an attempt to make the bout look more dangerous for the Doll House fighter than it really is. Yes, she pulled on he big upsets in FCBA history be taking the title from Dushku seven years ago and that was her fifteen minutes of fame. She has had only two bouts in the last five years and her last win was in May 2013. Gardner is in her second bout after a successful debut Now here is the kicker. Gardner has a six inch height advantage. Six inches. . I also wonder why Gardner is classified as a bantam when she entered the ring at Doll Ball 5 weighing 128. That’s not bantam. It’s 3 pounds short of welter I though 5’8” was a little tall for a bantam. Gardner will win
E. ROBERTS/McCURDY Roberts is coming along nicely after joining the Doll House. This will be her ninth fight of the year and she has won seven of the previous eight. This will be McCurdy’s third fight under the Front Street banner. She won her first two McCurdy has the edge in size, experience and quality of opponents. This is a bigger fight for Roberts than it is for McCurdy. I am going to take a chance on Roberts to win by a KO
WINNICK/GLAU I am not sure just why the forty year old Winnick is fighting. She has had six fights this year winning three. She is scheduled to fight Steinfeld in a so called generation match which strange. While Winnick is 19 years older than Steinfeld, Steinfeld has been in the FCBA longer and has had more fights, but I degress. Winnick is going to fight Glau, who is not much younger. Glau has had a hard time recently losing her last seven bouts and hasn’t finished the sixth round in her last four. I think Glau has a good chance to win this bout but I go with Winnick by a KO subject to change on the outcome her bout with Steinfeld.
LAVIGNE/MENDES The foul mouthed Lavigne is on a nine fight winning streak mostly against second and third tier fighters. Mendes has only had seven bouts, but has already faced come better competition than Lavigne This could be a very good bout and one that Mendes has a chance of winning, I have to go with Lavigne while she is on her streak. The downside to her win is that I will have to listen to big mouth rants.
Thorne/Munn, a fight not one that anyone would want to miss? I got a flash for you. Not only to I want to miss this bout, I will JMD
