Skip Tracey of the Archer News Service was among the FCBA reporters who had received the terse Memorial Day message from Foxfire Boxing sent out over e-mail, Facebook. Twitter and other social media.
Monday. May 28, 2018. It is with regret that Foxfire Boxing announces departure of flyweight Adelaide Kane from their ranks. It was a mutual decision and we wish Ms, Kane every success in her future endeavors.
Elisabeth Harnois
Director of Communications
Foxfire Boxing Corp.
Since the release of the statement, there had been no further comment from Foxfire or Adelaide Kane (who had reportedly been seen quietly removing her personal effects from the Foxfire Training Center and loading them into a van. Skip's sources told him, the other members of Foxfire had come in and shared hugs (and not a few tears) before their former Australian stablemate drove away towards an uncertain future).
Skip had not been surprised about Adelaide's departure. Her loss at the May PPV to Camila Mendes had cemented a disappointing 4-15-0 record. However Skip was quick to onder just who would be replacing Adelaide Kane as the organizations "flyweight prospect. He had spoken to a top FCBA stable analyst
"Foxfire is very happy about the signing of Natalie Alyn Lind to fill that slot at bantam after they let Willa Holland go. They also are pleased about Sophie Turner at Lightweight. They could use someone at Welterweight to back up Mandy Moore, but I think they feel their flyweight problem is more urgent. Sarah Carter and Hayden Panettiere are suppose to fight Flyweight Contenders or at least veteran flyweights. They want someone who can fight the new flyweights who keep coming and win. Addie couldn't iin enough, even though she was always trying her hardest. So now they are in market for someone has new as Hayden Panettiere (remember they signed her when she turned 18. I am sure they would love to find a 'young Hayden Panettiere'--which sounds odd since Hayd is not even 29 yet, but that's really the kind of prospect they need. I think they are going to be careful who they sign. That could be a mistake. There are reports they really liked Camila Mendes but O & E got her signature on the dotted line first. Could happen again if they aren't careful."
Which got Skip to wondering just who Foxfire might be considering. Officially he had received a chilly "We don't comment on personnel moves before they happen," from Beth Harnois.
However, Skip had heard reports that Dani Fishel, long-time Foxfire veteran ha been visiting the independent gyms where unmanaged young fighters are known to hang out. Exactly who Dani there to check out was by no means clear. There were additional reports that Foxfire's front office assistant Bailee Madison had been seen in these gyms as well. Something was definitely going on.
So far, Skip had leads on four young flyweights, two with a decent amount of experience, two others with only one (losing) fight apiece. How Foxfire was rating them and how they intended to further evaluate them was still unknown:
DOVE CAMERON: Age 22, 5'2 (1.58 m). 4-9-0, 4 KO.
Comments: In FCBA since 2014, with Mirage Boxing 2016-17. Last 2 fights were losses to Michelle Williams (KO4) and Avril Lavigne (KO6)
CHLOE MORETZ: Age 21, 5'4 (1.63 m), 5-5-0, 5 KO.
Comments: In FCBA since 2016, Unmanaged, last fight was a KO6 loss to Stella Hudgens 4/27/18.
SOFIA CARSON (Age 25), 5'4 (1.63 m), 0-1-0
Comments:Out of the Disney Channel Fight School DESCENDENTS 1,2,3) will be starring in PRETTY LITTLE LIARS: THE PERFECTIONISTS IN 2019. Sources say the Pretty Little Punchers might have considered Sofia but they already have hot young prospect Danielle Campbell. Her one FCBA fight was in January 2017, a KO5 loss to Jane Levy in an Asylum Card.
SARAH JEFFERY, (Age 22), 5'3 (1.60), 0-1-0.
Comments: Extensive dance background. Disney Channel (DESCENDENTS 1 & 3). Will be in CW reboot of CHARMED. One FCBA fight was a December 2017 KO5 loss to Ariel Winters in an Asylum PPV.
Skip had reason to suspect that Foxfire would take its time in evaluating these prospects. There were even some reports that at least one total newcomer was under evaluation. It had taken Skip a while, but he now believed her to be THE ORIGINALS actress (and future star of that series' 2018-19 Season spinoff LEGACIES):
DANIELLE ROSE RUSSELL, (DOB.10/31/99, Age 18) 5'3 (1.60 m). No FCBA Record
Comments: Skip's sources say Bailee Madison has been showing a lot of interest in this youngster who has been seen in a "Celebrity Rookie Gym" since turning 18. Hard to know just how serious Foxfire is interested in a total newbie, but this is the home of Hayden Panettiere so its got to be flattering for Ms. Russell to get any sort of serious stable interest.
So that made for five prospects. Skip could only makes plans to keep their names in his trusty notebook and see which (if any) would get the chance to join one of their organizations in the FCBA.
