TESS VALMORE
Once again, I present this month’s edition of my much ridiculed predictions. As usual, it may be littered with cheap shots, unjustified criticisms and unflattering comments. In the last month’s PPVs, I went 27-14 running my total to 1293-369. If I am not mistaken, if all the fights go, it will be the biggest card in FCBA history
REINHART/FREGE Frege’s back She now has lost seven straight and twelve of her last thirteen. This time she is catching a newbie in Reinhart. Reinhart who was recently signed by Front Street is undefeated in her first two bouts. Frege has huge advantage when it comes to experience. She is also slightly bigger. What she seems to lack is talent. Reinhart will win by a KO
M. WILLIAMS/S. HUDGENS Not much to talk about here. This is clearly a mismatch Management is pushing Hudgens a little too fast. Make that a lot too fast. Williams by a KO
PORTMAN/L. COLLINS Collins, who lost on the April card, has a terrific 14-3 record and was ranked at two in the flyweights by Boxing World. Portman who is in the Hall Of Fame is getting up in years. She will soon be 37. She is also two inches shorter than her opponent. I don’t like to be against the Consortium, but I have to go with Collins to win
LOVATO/DUSHKU Lovato is undefeated in her last seven bouts She takes on another aging Hall Of Fame member. Dushku, who will be 38, has slowed down in the last two years having only two fights in each year winning two and losing two Dushku who has won twelve unified titles isn’t done yet, She has a two inch height advantage which will used. Dushku by TKO
S. TURNER/TAILOR Turner who is a lightweight has a spotty record. She is 6-3, but has lost to a couple bantams. She is taking in Tailor, who has a similar record although against a little better competition. I go with Tailor to win
losses
KANE/C. MENDES Kane shocked the FCBA by winning in the February card after losing eleven straight. Can she make it two wins in a row? She has the edge in experience and she has a two inch height advantage. I never thought I would say this, but I expect that Kane will win
WINSTEAD/SWIFT A top lightweight bout. Swift was upset on the April card and is trying to come back against Winstead who beat Ambrosio on the same card. Swift has a three inch height advantage. I have to admit Winstead is one of my favorites because she fights the best. I think she will work around the height disadvantage. Winstead by a KO
E. HENSTRIDGE/CYRUS Henstridge, who had a sensational 2017, lost on the April PPV and is now 2-2 for the year Cyrus has now won five straight conventional bouts. I look for Henstridge to rebound Henstridge by a KO
SCODELARIO/BUSH Scodelario has won three straight and seven of her last eight. Bush is no slouch. She has won six of her last seven Scodelario has a two inch height advantage. I was impressed with her win over Kelly in April PPV
Scodelario by a KO
AMBROSIO/J.ALEXANDER Alexander is an under-rated lightweight who has a win over Kendall Jenner. She has won five of her last six and one of those wins was over Ambrosio Unfortunately, she hasn’t fought in over a year. Ambrosio had won four straight before losing to Winstead on the April card Another win over Ambrosio could get Alexander top ten mention. I don’t think it is going to happen Ambrosio will get revenge by a KO
RHODA/C. HENDRICKS Rhoda, who lost her last two in the March and April PPVs. is a top five welter. Hendricks who is on a four fight win streak, isn’t Enough said. Rhoda by a KO
PRINSLOO/G. ATKINSON Prinsloo is a relative newcomer who has won five of her eight fights after losing to Decker in April Atkinson is a veteran who has fallen a hard times losing five of her last six including an upset loss to Goodwin in April Despite her current problems, I think Atkinson has too much experience but I thought the same thing in the Goodwin bout. Atkinson will win
KOSTEK/DECKER Kostek is a little on the ambitious side She had and won her first bout in March. Now she wants Decker. Well, she goy her and it is going to be a learning experience although not a pleasant one. Decker by a KO
C.COLE/BROWNING If you look at Brownings picture in the Archives, she looks like she is getting ready to cry. If you look at her record you would know why. I would be crying too if I was her and had to face Cole. Cole by a KO
LOWNDES/WINTER I didn’t follow the back and forth between Mr V and the Wiz, so I don’t really know how this fight got made. Winter is on ana eight fight win streak but she hasn’t faced anyone like Lowndes. Winter’s win streak ends here. Lowndes by a KO
S. GOMEZ/HOUGH Hough has had two fights this year and lost both. Not to be outdone, Gomez has lost her only fight this year. This is a 50/50 fight. I think that Hough will win
DOBREV/WOODLEY Dobrev has been in a winning way recently, winning seven of her last eight. Woodley has a height advantage but hasn’t fought in well over a year and only three times in the last two. Inactivity is going to hurt her as Dobrev is a good fighter. Dobrev wins
ALDRIDGE/E GONZALEZ Gonzalez is having a hard time making it in the lightweights. She has lost her last four failing to finish the sixth in any. Now she catches Aldridge, who first appeared last year and now has a 1-1 record. I believe Gonzalez will get back on track winning by a TKO
YUSTMAN/BIEL I mentioned yesterday that a win by Yustman would solidify her top ten standing. It was pointed out she wasn’t in the top ten. She was on the cusp only because of inactivity. A win here and she’s back in the top ten. I have no idea what has happened to Biel. She had lost five straight before beating G. Hadid a few days ago. She is still a dangerous fighter, but Yustman is the wrong fighter to try and get your mojo back Yustman will win
KUNIS/PALLETT Kunis hasn’t been very active in the last two and half years winning three of her six bouts. She did beat Carter in January. Pallett had a four fight win streak broken-in March I will go with Kunis, but not with a lot confidence
RIGHETTI/UPTON This is not a title fight, but is the prime welter bout of the night. The two have met once before with Upton taking the welter title from Righetti. Can she beat her again? I doubt it. Righetti by a KO
BENOIST/A. GREEN The two have similar records, both were 3-1 last year and both lost their only bout this year. Benoist has a considerable height advantage, but Green has fought the best opposition. I go with Green by a KO
KRSMANOVIC/LAWRENCE Krsmanovic had a good year last year, but this year hasn’t been kind. She has lost three of four although her one win was over Rhoda and her losses to top ten opponents. Lawrence has had a rough time recently. She has lost four straight and six of her last seven. I think Krsmanovic. who can be somewhat unpredictable, will make it five straight losses. Krsmanovic will win
BELLISARIO/NIGRI This prediction is valid only if this is not a JMDD bout. Bellisario has the experience and has fought a far better class of opponents in conventional fights. Bellisario will win
ORRANTIA/LARSON Larson has the better record and has fought better competition in her brief career. She also has a height advantage. Larson by a KO
CHOPRA/WINNICK The 41 year old Winnick has done much better than expected, winning four of her six fights including a big win over Johansson. Chopra’s record is under water and she has lost the last three to good competition She has a 2 1/2 height advantage. Think that Chopra will win
WATSON/TISDALE Watson’s career has been a little on the mediocre side and she is now in her fifth stable. Tisdale had a reasonably good career going until 2015. Since than she has had six fights and lost them all. Nothing like a stable having a trainer who can’t win a fight. Watson by a KO
PALICKI/ROHBACH Palicki for years was a top ten lightweight and a two time champion known to be a hard hitter. Then, for some reason she went inactive for over a year and hasn’t been the same. She has lost her last three failing to finish the sixth Rohrbach is one of the better new lightweights and has earned a spot in the top ten. I would like to see Palicki win for old times sake but I am not sure he has it all together yet. This fight will tell us I go with Rohrbach
HOLKER/SANTORO Holker has had just two fights and won both. Santoro is not all that experienced, but has a good record this far. The kicker in this bout in that Santoro is four inches taller. That’s too much for Holker. Santoro by a TKO
ITSINES/McCORD Itsines lost her first bout in the last PPV. That was no surprise. In desperation, management has reached down and summoned McCord. McCord’s career is beyond life support. She has lost seven straight and her last win was back in July of 2011 I’m going with Itsines to win. If she doesn’t, she needs to disappear into Facebook. Instagram or where ever she came from
ROWLAND/Z. COLEMAN This is Rowland’s first fight in almost two years and her second in the last four. She has lost three of her last four Coleman has been much better. She has only four fights in her three year career winning two. I have to admit that I really don’t have a clue. I’ll take a chance on Coleman
B. THORNE/GILLIES Thorne is now 10-1 and with two exceptions has fought opponents schedule designed for her to win. This is another one. Gillies has a winning record, but her opponents have not been impressive. She hasn’t had a bout in almost eighteen months. Thorne by a KO
LAVIGNE/JUSTICE Lavigne has won six of seven since coming out of retirement. Her conduct however, is less than desirable. I don’t think I am wrong when I say she has the worst mouth in history of the FCBA. Justice has won six of ten in the FCBA, but she is not going to shut off one on Lavigne’s tirades. Lavigne will win
EVIGAN/KENDRICK The two have similar winning records, however Evigan has won her last three and Kenrdrick has lost her last three. Evigan is also three inches taller. That will be enough. Evigan will win
M. FOX/V HUDGENS For the flyweight crown. No need to go into Fox’s win streak and title reign as it should be well known. The question is how long can it go on. She certainly hasn’t been wimpy in choosing opponents, Now she goes against Hudgens, who is a three time champion and on a four fight win streak. Let’s go with the odds again. Hudgens take the title
REGAN/LAW A few years ago Regan was one of the rulers of the welters. For some reason she has recently been both inactive and in a slump She has lost her last three. Law hasn’t done much better. She has lost five of her last seven with the only fighter she has beaten was Michelle Ryan twice. The two fought once before with Regan winning. I believe she will repeat. Regan will win.
VANCAMP/KOSARIN Kosarin won this title match be beating Beilisario a couple days ago. She has a 10-2 record and has won three of four this year. VanCamp is defending her fourth unified title and is on a four fight wis streak with a two inch height advantage. I think VanCamp will retain her title
STRAHOVSKI/KERR For the lightweight title Strahovski has now won six straight. Her last loss was on 7/29/17 when she lost to none other than Kerr, Kerr has a terrific 14-3 record. This will be her second title fight this year. She lost to Kendall Jenner in January. I go with Strahovski to retain the title. We need to keep it in blonde hands.
T. ATKINSON/FREEMAN Poor Freeman. Along with Yustman, the two are very good fighters, Unfortunately, they are in a stable with Lowndes, who is the appointed queen of the stable. It’s Lowndes this and Lowndes that. Lowndes has had more fights since the beginning of 2017 than Yustman and Freeman combined It like being in KIm’s Krushers where the great Theron ruled except, Lowndes is no Theron (Don’t get the idea that I don’t like Lowndes. I do) But I degress. I could play it safely and go with Atkinson but I really like Freeman, so I go with Freeman to pull a big upset

In the last month’s PPVs, I went 27-14 running my total to 1293-369. If I am not mistaken, if all the fights go, it will be the biggest card in FCBA history
