Intro:
Big British contest here with two women with lots personally on the
line in this fight; Alice Goodwin and Michelle Ryan fight it out
tonight on PPV.
Alice is 32 years old; stands 5'8 and holds a record of 5 wins, all by
knockout and 2 defeats.
Michelle is 33 years old; stands 5'7 and holds a record of 20 wins, 17
by knockout and 17 defeats.
Both were asked for comments in the build up to the fights at their
stable gyms, with Alice sitting on the ring apron after sparring
looking hot in multiple ways.
"I can't believe that bytch Michelle dared to call me out, I guess her
beating my stablemate little butt Iggy (Azeala) has somehow made her
thing we are all cowards here in Chimera, oh how wrong can you be"
says Alice as she wipes some sweat off her massive jugs.
"But I have to thank Michelle somewhat, I mean with my contract only
being a try out one, I need a punchbag to prove I belong her on a full
contract, the fact Iggy is on one two and as far as I know we are
competing, well I have won all my bouts so far and surely the icing on
the cake is me blasting out Michelle" grinning like a Cheshire cat as
she doesn't care that she has upset Iggy.
Michelle looks confident as she says "God all I've heard in this gym
is why am I wanting to fight a fearsome puncher like Alice, well
because she fights like a zombie in the Walking Dead, just comes
forwards with her arms out, meaning as long as I outbox her; which I
will, then she is mine for the taking"
She continues by pointing out "see Alice thinks she is the only one
fighting for her spot on a stable, I've been in this stable since day
one, but a few bad results and because I'm not some pretty model,
suddenly I'm on the fringes, well I want an apology after I kick all
these bytches arses and rise up the rankings again"
Fight night; out comes Alice with Ronda by her side, she has that
trademark swagger of hers as she heads to the ring, giving her jugs a
shake for her adoring fans in the front row.
She is wearing a black low cut bra, short black trunks, black gloves
and boots, her hair is up in a simply ponytail.
Climbing into the ring with a big smile on her face, she flexes her
arms on her way to her corner and starts to warm up with Ronda
drilling her.
Now out comes Michelle with Lauren Berlingeri and Eva Carneiro by her
side, she marched down to the ring looking pissed off.
She is wearing a red sports bra; matching trunks, gloves and shoes,
her hair is braided for the fight.
Stepping into the ring; Michelle's eyes lock with Alice's, it's
certainly isn't a friendly look that Michelle gives her fellow Brit as
she headed to her corner, beginning her own warm up with Taryn
drilling her.
Soon the fighters come to the ring centre, squaring up nose to nose
with each other, the tension in the ring between these two could be
cut with a knife.
Asked to touch gloves; they thud their gloves together hard before
heading to their corners with their eyes still locked together, ready
to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.
Round 1:
Out come the fighters with testing jabs to begin with, it's clear that
Michelle wants to keep to the outside of Alice's range so she doesn't
get hit by the raw power shots of her opponent.
It works early on as she bounces on her toes as she moves quicker then
the more flat footed Alice, leading to Michelle smacking Alice between
her mitts onto her face.
Till Alice parries a straight and lands left cross, before landing a
straight of her own to knock Michelle onto the backfoot.
Michelle uses her footwork though to move to the ropes and slip under
the hook throwing Alice to get back into space and work behind her jab
again.
The veteran keeps things basic; slamming her left into the face of
Goodwin and bobbing and weaving around the power punches her opponent
is using to try and take her head off.
It forces Ronda to shout "think about what you are doing Alice" which
seems to fall on deaf ears at the moment as she continues her futile
attempts at coming up the middle.
Michelle steps in when she feels more comfortable to test the models
chin with a double jab, as she tries to sneak back out though; she is
caught with a straight and a left hook smacks her on the side of her
head.
The actress covering up as Alice finally gets some success, throwing a
flurry that finds some light as it rifles through the gloves of Ryan
to her nose to make her groan.
The bell rings though to end the round with Michelle rubbing her nose
but smirking at Alice, telling her "hope you enjoyed those shots,
that's all you're landing you cheap w***!"
Which riles up Alice; Ronda rushes out to pull her back to her corner
and tells her "don't let her mind games bother you! You know your
strengths, use them and stick to what we spoke about OK?" With Alice
looking angry but nodding in acceptance.
Round 2:
Back out they come with nothing really changing early on; Michelle
bobbing and weaving as she moves around Alice, digging a few shots
towards the body of the model after finding a tighter guard from her
opponent.
Alice still stalks Michelle, using her own jab more as she measures up
her opponent, before feinting with her left and coming in with a right
hook that catches Michelle on her cheek and turns her head.
Now Alice has what she wants as she bullies Michelle behind her guard
and smacks away at the body of the actress to make her loudly groan
out.
Michelle needing to give Alice a shove to move into space, snapping
her jab back into the cheeks of Alice as the younger girl turns.
Again though Alice times her attack better, parrying a jab and
stepping in with a left cross and a hard thrown right across the lips
of Michelle to bloody her bottom lip.
The Girls Friday fighter being driven back by the heavy handed
Goodwin; who snaps her head back with a three punch combo and drives
her towards the ropes.
With Michelle needing to clinch up already, showing the effects
Alice's punches can have, the referee needing to break them apart as
Alice spits insults into the ear of Ryan to tell her what she thinks
of her.
Separated by the ref; Michelle enjoys being in space and is able to
box on the outside again as Alice hunts her down.
With Alice throwing more power punches instead of setting them up;
showing her mindset but Michelle is able to slip under the punches and
work the body as the round heads to it's conclusion.
Soon the bell does ring with Alice flexing her right arm to show
Michelle "I'm the powerhouse bytch" as Ronda nods in appreciation at a
strong round but tells her again "don't lose your patience, stick to
your skills and pound her when you get the chance"
While Michelle looks pissed off; Lauren and Eva working to patch her
up, Michelle winces when her lips are touched as her eyes stare
daggers across at Alice for the lip.
Round 3:
Alice looking more confident, hunting down Michelle with her jab again
as the more mobile fighter needs to use her footwork and own jab to
keep out if trouble.
The fighters trade stiff single punches as Alice looks a little
frustrated that she hasn't been able to pin Michelle onto the ropes or
a corner yet, when she hits Michelle's blood lips and gets a groan
that gives her a smile.
But as she tries to step in with two hooks, MICHELLE DIPS UNDERNEATH
AND COMES UP WITH AN UPPERCUT AND A LEFT HOOK THAT KNOCKS ALICE ONTO
HER BACKSIDE!
The crowd jump up and roar as Michelle swaggers over to a neutral
corner, 1..2...3...4 Alice shakes her head to clear a few cobwebs and
looks up to stare at Michelle 5...6...7 she soon pushes herself up and
bangs her gloves together to try to show she is OK, the referee let's
her continue after a check.
Michelle smells blood in her mind; charging forwards and slamming a
flurry of punches into the gloves of Alice, who is actually being
pushed back onto her heels.
As Michelle finds little success up top; she works on the body,
ripping away at the ribs of Goodwin to make her cry out now.
Till she leaves her arms too low, Alice banging a straight into the
lips of Michelle and lands a left hook to knock Michelle back off her.
Michelle looks a little stunned that Alice is actually OK; she thought
she had her beaten and instead she is finding herself being knocked
back by Alice as she takes several punches through her mitts to her
face to knock her head back.
The bell rings to end the round with Michelle taking a good lead on
the paper of the judges scorecard, as she stares at Alice though she
knows she still has plenty of work to do.
With both girls already marked up on their faces, blood dripping from
Michelle's lips down her chin to her jugs, with Alice's cheeks looking
a little puffy but she seems to have shaken off the knockdown and
looks in a rage if not for Ronda keeping her calm.
Round 4:
Michelle controls the early action with her movement again as she
moves side to side, trying to keep Alice guess as the tank like
fighting keeps coming forwards.
A few jabs strike Alice on her nose to slow down her forwards movement
and Michelle steps inside to bang two shots under the ribs of Alice
before stepping back.
As she does through; Alice catches her with a jab on her lips, LANDING
A RIGHT HOOK THAT CATCHES MICHELLE BEHIND HER EAR TO WOBBLE HER, A
FOLLOW UP RIGHT PUTS MICHELLE DOWN TO HER BACK!
Alice shouts at her "f***ing bytch!" Before the referee points her to
a neutral corner, 1..2...3...4 Michelle shakes her head as she turns
to her front 5...6 blood drips onto the canvas from her lips as she
pushes her up 7...8 beating the count but still shaking her head.
Michelle is allowed to continue; trying to get up on her toes as Alice
stalks her down behind her piston like jab, which finds it's way
between the gloves of the actress to knock her head back.
As Alice looks to load up on a right hook; Michelle desperately
clinches up with her, leading to Alice slamming a few short shots to
the kidneys of Michelle, who groans out with each hit.
The referee pulls the fighters apart; Michelle moves into space and is
a lot more defensive, throwing her jab and retreating.
But she seems to have lost the spring to her step; giving Alice
chances to close down Michelle and rip a three punch combo into her
face to rock her towards the ropes.
Michelle again grabs onto Alice, just trying to survive the round as
Alice has clearly hurt her badly, the referee again pries them apart.
The bell does soon ring after Alice gets another stiff straight into
the face of Michelle, who wipes her lips of blood as she is looking a
mess, slowly heading to her corner.
While Alice gets a tap on her back from Ronda, who tells her "you've
f***ed her; a few more punches and she'll tumble to the canvas babe"
The Girls Friday crew working hard to patch up Michelle, who blinks a
few times rapidly to try and clear her head, Lauren telling her "if
you can see out the round we can work on how to win this, just survive
the next round OK!"
Round 5:
Michelle tries to move on the outside of the ring, throwing a few long
range strikes that Alice swats aside, BEFORE ALICE LANDS AN UPPERCUT
THAT NEARLY KNOCKS MICHELLE THROUGH THE ROPES AS SHE SLUMPS ONTO THE
MIDDLE ROPE AND FALLS FLAT ON HER FACE AFTERWARDS, THE REFEREE WAVING
THE FIGHT OFF!
Winner Alice Goodwin KO Round 5
After:
The crowd all look stunned on what was one hell of a knockout, a
stretcher being rushed into the ring as Michelle is helped by the
ringside doctor to be safely turned to her back.
Alice reminding people with this knockout how dangerous she is; this
being the woman on her FCBA debut who had the number 1 ranked
lightweight and one of the best pound for pound Katy Perry on her back
several times in a classic.
She doesn't seem to give one f*** about Michelle as she simply struts
over to her corner and shouts "another bytch bites the dust!" With a
cheeky grin on her face.
Ronda washing her down and telling her fighter how proud she is of her
performance, still a few things to work on but against a constant top
20 ranked fighter, she made it look easy.
All Alice is thinking about is how important this win is for her
chances of getting that contract, she did what her fellow try out star
Iggy couldn't and beat Michelle, surely that will help her massively
as June's deadline comes up rapidly.
Some pundits pointing out that while Stephanie's methods are not
always to the benefit of her stars, these try out contracts seem to be
working for her as Alice looks the most focus she has in the past two
years.
After Alice gets her hand raised by the referee, she shouts "that
welterweight title is going to be mine! They won't keep me back
forever!" Talking about the big fish of the division like Hannah
Ferguson, Amanda Righetti and Tanhee Atkinson.
It's hard to argue against her as she leaves the ring and gives the
crowd a few shakes of her mammoth jugs, winking as she sees an angry
Tess Valmore at ringside looking at her with disgust.
Alice gives her a quick shake of her booty to a laugh from Ronda, who
puts her arm around her waist as they head to the back to celebrate.
