TESS VALMORE
Once again, I present this month’s edition of my much ridiculed predictions. As usual it may be littered with cheap shots, unjustified criticism and unflattering comments. Our prediction record at present is 1235-341
KOSARIN/LILLY Two headed in opposite directions. I believe Kosarin is now at 11-2 and on a seven fight winning streak in conventional bouts. I have no idea what’s happened to Lilly. She is a six time unified champion and was well on her way to the Hall OF Fame then in 2012 her activity declined and in the last four years her record was 6-8. She is now going to be 39. It’s entirely possible that Lilly can win this bout, however, I have to go with the hot hand. Kosarin by a KO
E. HENSTRIDGE/JOHANSSON Henstridge, who is ranked at number nine in Boxing Worlds lightweight rankings, had an eleven bout winning streak broken in her first fight of the year, but came back to win on the February card. Johansson has held one bantam title and two lightweight titles but has a losing record. She has lost her last four After this bout it will be five straight. Henstridge by a KO
SCODELARIO/RIDLEY Scodelario is another who had a winning streak broken in the first card of the year, but came back to post a win in February She is now slotted at eight on Boxing World’s bantam rankings. Ridley has done well and has a 8-2 record. She had only two fights last year and lost her first of this year. I have to go with Scodelario by a TKO
M. RYAN/A. GOODWIN Ryan looked like she was going to make waves in the welters until things went south in late 2017, as she lost four of five. Goodwin is basically a JMDD fighter. She has had one conventional fight which she lost. You might say she is a little on the top heavy side. That’s not going to help her. Ryan by a KO
VANDERVOORT/K. CASSIDY Vandervoort is on the road to nowhere. She is now ranked at 66 by Boxing World. She has lost six of her last seven. Cassidy is not exactly terrorizing the bantams, however, she has won four of last six. She loses to top fighters while beating the second tier. Vandervoort is not a top fighter. Cassidy by a KO
BELLISARIO/ROBBIE Robbie may be the best fighter in Chimera. She has a 18-9 record and has won her last four. She has had only one fight under the Chimera flag. In taking on Bellisario, who is very close to the top of the bantam food chain, Robbie is taking a step too far. Bellisario by a KO
D. CAMPBELL/KENDRICK Campbell comes into this bout on a twelve bout winning streak Her competition has been generally “run the of mill” Kendrick lost her first bout this year. She has a winning record, but not as good as Campbell’s. The kicker is that Kendrick has fought by far, the better competition. It gives her the edge. Kendrick by a KO
LOVATO/DANES At 39 Danes seems to be slowing down. She only had two fights last year and this will be her first of the year Lovato had a fine 2017 going 10-3. She was held to a draw in her first fight of the year. I hate to bet against the Consortium. Danes still has enough. Danes by a TKO
PAIGE/GADOT One might say that Paige didn’t get off to a good start in the FCBA losing six of seven Her one win was over another wrestler. Gadot is not any more impressive. Her reputation as Wonder Woman hasn’t followed her into the FCBA. She has lost four of five. As I have said before I am not a big admirer of wrestlers. I will go with Gadot
CAMERON/M. WILLIAMS Not going to spend a lot of time on this one Cameron lost to Williams by a KO5 in the December 2017 PPV. I have no idea why she thinks the result of this fight will be any different. Williams by another KO
WINNICK/SCHERZINGER At least Winnick is taking on someone her own age. Well, Scherzinger is a slightly younger. She is also vastly more experienced Scherzinger by a KO
R. B. SMITH/PAUSINI This is not what you would call a marquis fight. Smith has had three fights and is yet to win one. Pausini’s record is worse. Twice as bad. She is 0-6 She has lasted past the sixth only once. Smith hasn’t done any better. She also has never made it past the sixth. I am going to take a chance on the younger fighter. Smith by a KO
BENOIST/REINHART Benoist is a 5’8” bantam who had a 3-1 record last year. I have no idea who Reinhart, a newbie, is and really not interested enough to find out. Benoist by a KO
RHODA/KRSMANOVIC Surprisingly Rhoda and Krsmanovic are rated in the same position in both Boxing World and Tractorpull, Rhoda is five and Krsmanovic at six. That said, although Rhoda got upset by Perry in the last PPV, I think there is significant drop off in talent between the two. I have to go with Rhoda by a KO
HOLKER/KNIGHTLEY Holker is a 30 year old newbie who won her first fight in the year end card. Knightley has been around for 15 years The last four years have not been kind to her. She broke a six fight losing streak in February, I don’t know about Holker, however, it appears that Knightley is done. Holker by a KO
ZENDAYA/DEVELIGNE I know absolutely nothing about Zendaya. I don’t find her on the list of fighters. Develigne is not overly impressive, but at least she is in the list of fighters. I go with her
STEFANI/CYRUS I think this one of those fights that should have never been scheduled Stefani is 48 years old, only had four fights and lost them all. None of her fights lasted past the sixth and three ended before the end of the fifth. On the other hand Cyrus may be a little tired as Miss Ginny has scheduled for three fights in less that two weeks. Miley needs the money as she has just been sued for 300 million for copyright infringement. Stefani is three inches taller. That means she she will cover more territory as she counted out. Cyrus by a KO
EVIGAN/A. GREENE Evigan had a 2-1 2017 but hasn’t fought since last May. Greene also had a good 2017 but has lost her last two. I believe Greene will get back on the winning side with a KO
RATAJKOWSKI/MUNN Ratajkowski is well known to the readers of the Daily Mail for her ability to pose with as little on as the law will allow and sometimes less. For some reason, although, she had a 9-1 record last year she hasn’t impressed me, not that she needs to. Munn has not done well recently losing her last four. Ratajkowski will extend the losing streak to five by a KO
ROHRBACH/YUSTMAN Rohrbach is making a name for herself as a rising young lightweight. Yustman was a solid top ten lightweight then last year only had two fights and hasn’t appeared since October. I have always liked Yustman
She has had more knockouts than Rohrbach has had fights. I have to believe she still has it. Yustman by a KO
E.WATSON/RODEN Watson would have to be classed as an average competitive opponent. In this bout, it certainly appears she is looking for a win. Her opponent has had only one fight which she won but that was two years ago
Watson is also a couple inches bigger. Watson will win
FOX/PANETTIERE For the flyweight title. I have changed sides again. I keep wondering how long this Fox streak can go on. In betting against her, the odds should be in my favor. This will be Panettiere’s 99th fight on her way to the Hall Of Fame. I go with Panettiere
T. ATKINSON/RIGHETTI Atkinson is the new champion and has had only eight conventional fights. She has a lot of the board excited. I haven’t figured out why. No matter. I am a Righetti loyalist. I suspect Atkinson will be favored but like i have said so many times, I never bet against Righetti.. Well, i did one time and regretted it. Righetti will take the title
